I Thought I Should Tell You

Disclaimer: I do not own Cowboy Bebop. Also the part in the beginning when Spike dies, I don't really own that either.

Spike slowly made his way down the stairs, one foot at a time. He came to a halt, raised his arm, and extended his pointer finger and thumb to make like a gun. "Bang." he said mildly, and fell to the ground. It looked as though he was dead. It looked like he was going to join Julia in the after life.

"Where is he? Where is he?!?" Faye thought in a panic, searching for Spike. She then came to a set of stairs where she saw Spike lying on the ground. "Oh my God!" She screamed, tears forming in her eyes. She ran to where Spike was and kneeled beside him. She rolled him over and shook him violently. "Spike! SPIKE! PLEASE WAKE UP!" she screamed frantically. She could not lose him. She wouldn't be able to live if she did. A teardrop escaped from her eye, landing on Spike's wounded body. "DON'T LEAVE ME HERE SPIKE! COME BACK!" she screamed, now sobbing.

Slowly, Spike opened his eyes, seeing Faye by his side, sobbing. "Faye..." he started. "what are you doing here?" he managed to say.

Faye felt relieved that he wasn't dead, still, he was wounded very badly. "Spike!" she said, still sobbing, now gently embracing him.

Spike had this confused look across his face. "Faye?" he said, questioningly.

"Spike..." she said wiping away her tears. "I haven't told you before but, I-I.... I love you Spike. I just couldn't tell you before but I am in love with you."

"Faye." he said in a soft tone. He was then cut off by a soft kiss on the lips. "Faye, I don't have much time you know..." he struggled to say.

"Please don't leave me Spike." she said softly.

"I'm afraid that I have no choice..." those were his last words. As soon as he said that his life drained and he became limp, not moving. He was dead.

"SPIKE!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!" Faye screamed, holding his dead body in her arms. More tears formed in her eyes, each one escaping. "Why did he have to go?" she whispered to herself, choking on tears. Rain was now pouring down, but still she stayed with Spike. She felt as if she had nothing left. Ed was gone, Spike died. All she had was Jet. Her heart broken, shattered, torn to pieces. She was alone.
