A Good Reason
"I want to know what's going on, Ace!" demanded Lady Illusion.
"I told you – nothing!"
"Then how come when this… juvenile…"
"What?! Why you…" growled Sparx pulling out the Sword of Jacob.
"Easy, Sparx," said Ace holding her back with his hand. He gestured for Lady Illusion to go on.
"When… she comes along you seem to forget me. And I've seen how you two are together. In fact, you're always together!"
"Dur!" said Sparx. "We do work together you know."
"Work is one thing. But it's more than just that. I've seen him laugh at you. Oh you think you're so smart, you can be entertaining too. But let me tell you this, little girl, you can't have him! He's mine and you can't take him away!"
"Um…" said Ace, "well now that, um… ahem, now that's sorted…"
"You're jealous!" exclaimed Sparx.
"Why would I be jealous of you?" sneered Lady Illusion.
"I don't know, but you are. And why are you jealous? Why do you think that I might just be a little too much competition? Because Ace laughs at me. Yeah, sure, that's all my fault! You really should destroy me for that!"
Oh-oh, thought Ace. Now Sparx is really mad. I hope she doesn't do anything stupid.
"Well," continued Sparx, really getting fired up, "you really want to destroy me? You want to be jealous? I'll give you a good reason to be jealous!!!"
Sparx grabbed Ace and kissed him.
Lady Illusion stared on in shock.
Ace didn't know what to do; he just kind of went along with it.
Sparx released Ace after about two seconds.
"That good enough for you!?!?"
"You've gone too far this time!" growled Lady Illusion. "You'll pay… later." She morphed out.
An awkward silence fell over the Thunder Tower.
"Um… Ace?" said Sparx.
"…yeah?" replied Ace still a bit in shock.
"Don't ever let me do that again."

Authors note: Yeah, I was bored. But I got Ace and Sparx to kiss totally in character and with no romance involved, what-so-eva! I rule!
