Chapter Three. Different
"Now things will be better." said a much bigger Naruto.
Naruto was now 12 years old. He was much taller than his five year old self clocking in at 5'6. He could thank the huge growth spurt to his new friend TenTen who he had mad at her dads weapon and armor shop. Naruto now had medium length bright blond hair in the Madara Uchiha style. He wore black anbu-style pants with dark orange stripes down the sides on the outside, and regular ninja sandals. He wore a long sleeve mesh shirt and a short-sleve black shirt on top with the Uzumaki crest on the front and back of it. He wore a light armor long-sleeve jacket over the shirts. Naruto had only made 3 friends in the seven years of the academy. Narra Shikamaru, Akimichi Chouji, and, Aburame Shino. Naruto tried to date the Sakura girl a lot a few years back but he quickly learned that that wasn't the best route of action. As Naruto walked into the academy just wishing that these last few day would blow by, he saw the usual big foreheaded pink banshee fighting the blond Yamanaka. "LET GO YOU INO-PIG, I WANT TO SIT NEXT TO SASUKE-KUN!" Said the banshee. "NO YOU BILLBROW, SASUKE-KUN LOVES ME!" Said the Yamanaka. Naruto fought the desire to ask the Haruno on a date and tried to walk by. "Hey dobe." Said the brooding Sasuke. "Huh? What do you want Sasuke-Teme?" Said Naruto giving Sasuke an ugly face. "I just want you to remember that you're still the bottom of the class. Even if you had a strong clan or whatever." Said the brood with a smirk. "At least my clan didn't get wiped out all by one of our clans members. It took multiple Shinobi villages." Retorted the blond. Sasuke got a tic mark and quickly tripped Naruto and kicked him while he was down. "HMPHH" Grunted Naruto. "Don't ever speak on my clan again you bastard." Sasuke spat the words like venom and Naruto got flash backs of all his years of abuse and torture. "No….No..NO!" Naruto shouted and the next moment he was in a dark place. It looked like a sewer. "Naruto" said a deep demonic voice.
"It's you again You're the Kyuubi aren't you!" Said Naruto remembering this voice and the talk he had with Hiruzen all those years back. "Yes. I am the Kyuubi. The Nine-Tailed Fox living inside the seal on your stomach." Confirmed the Kyuubi. Now that Naruto could actually see, he saw a huge jail cell with a paper seal as a lock. "Wha-what do you want with me?" Naruto said getting a little scared.
"Relax mortal. I do not want to harm you. Quite the opposite actually." Said the Demon. Naruto released a breath. "So, what then?" Naruto asked gaining courage. "First things first. You must know my true name. It is not 'Kyuubi' or 'Nine Tails'. My name is Kurama. That is what you will refer to me as." Said Kurama. "Okay. Kurama it is then." Said Naruto losing fear every second. "I have seen you live for the past twelve years. You hold hatred. Great amounts of it. You hold hatred for everyone in this accursed village. I can use that hatred. I can fuel you with power using your hatred. All you have to do is sign my contract." After Kurama said contract, a open scroll appeared in Naruto's hands.
"By signing this contract, you accept the following terms and conditions.
We will forever have a mental link.
You cannot learn jutsu from anyone other than me. You accept the Fox as your contract animal. You must eventually avenge your clan and destroy a certain village. You cannot become the hokage of the Leaf Village. And, you must be willing to kill from now on." Kurama finished his terms and conditions. "Kill? I do-" Naruto was cut off when Kurama then stated the advantages and abilities he would give Naruto. "If you sign this contract, I will give you many powers, abilities, and advantages. You will have heightened senses of smell, hearing, sight, and taste. You will have virtually unlimited amounts of Chakra, I will teach you everything I have learned in my Thousands of years of immortality. And, I will give you the ability us foxes gain when we are hunting." Kurama smirked. "A hunting ability? How is that going to help me be a shinobi?" Naruto was lost. "You idiot mortal. Let me explain. For the majority of my life, most times i've been sealed inside of an Uzumaki. Now, usually, you Uzumaki either befriend me, or master my power. I grant my holders this 'hunting ability' called Zon Ni Hairu. This ability allows you to be in complete control of every part of your body and fully aware of your surroundings. Your brain reaches peak performance and you become the perfect human. I've only ever given it to Uzumaki because it's extremely taxing and would kill a regular human. It's able to be passed down by blood so your clan considered it a Bloodline Limit of theirs. However it was extremely rare and the chances of an Uzumaki being born with it are 1/1000. So, in giving you this ability, you will gain a bloodline other than the natural one you already have and you will be able to pass it down to your children although it is rare that they receive it."
Naruto blinked. "That's a lot to take in Kurama. And what did you mean by my natural Bloodline Limit?" Asked Naruto half confused. "We can worry about that when we get there." Kurama Responded. "Now it's time to decide because about five seconds have passed in the real world. Are you signing the contract or not." Kurama urged.
"Hmmm." Naruto was in deep thought. It was a lot of terms and conditions. Although, it's not like he exactly liked this village. "Yes." Naruto decided. "I will sign your contract Kurama." A pen appeared in Naruto's hand and Naruto signed the contract. Immediately after he signed it, he woke up. On the floor in front of Sasuke. "You really are a weakling." Smirked Sasuke. Naruto got up, looked at Sasuke, and walked away to sit next to Shikamaru. 'Behind you' thought Kurama inside Naruto's mind. Naruto turned around to see Sasuke walking towards him with anger on his face. "Who do you think you are ignoring me, dobe!" Roared Sasuke as his walk turned into a run up the stairs towards Naruto 'Say 'Zon Ni Hairu' in your mind to activate the bloodline limit I gave you. You can have it on for fifteen seconds before starting to feel serious strain. Although you could try to push your limits..'. Informed Kurama. 'Zon Ni Hairu!' Naruto shouted in his head. Not a second later, Naruto's eyes went from sapphire blue, to a burnt orange with a black fox pupil in the middle with gold surrounding it. 'I can see, feel, and hear everything..' Thought Naruto, fascinated. Sasuke seemed like he was moving slightly slower, and Naruto could predict his movements by looking at the way his body parts were already moving. 'Is this what it's like to have that Sharingan that I read the Uchihas have?' Naruto asked in his mind. Not really expecting an answer but got one regardless. 'Don't you dare compare my powerful gift I have given you to that hateful cursed eye of the Uchiha.' Kurama responded getting a little angry at the ignorance of the child. 'This power is far greater than that and has much more potential than a Sharingan.' Kurama continued. 'I will tell you more later. For now, put this arrogant Uchiha on his ass. You've already used three seconds dodging and talking to me' Kurama said.
Naruto dodged punch after punch from the Uchiha. 'Damn it, why can't I hit him?!' Sasuke began to get angry. Naruto was moving at speeds where Sasuke couldn't keep up. *Fwoosh* *Fwoosh*. Punches flying, books falling and all anyone could see was Naruto easily dodging Sasuke's punches by jumping from desk to desk. "You got it Sasuke! You can beat this Naruto-Baka!" Yelled a pink haired banshee. 'Stop toying with him. You only have eight seconds.' Kurama said mildly annoyed. 'Alright.' Smirk Naruto. Naruto jumped back from another haymaker onto a desk. He then jumped into the air with Sasuke. He avoided Sasuke's punch midair, then, punched Sasuke in the ribcage. 'I feel like i'm stronger than ever!' Naruto said as he sent Sasuke to the floor in a crashing mess. 'Because with the bloodline limit active, you do have increased strength.' Kurama taught. "AUGHH!" Sasuke screamed in pain as he hit the floor and rolled down a few steps. Naruto landed on the top of the stairs with his bloodline still active and his eyes showing as proof. "Zon Ni Hairu." Naruto said out loud as his eyes went back to normal only having one second to spare before unbearable pain hit from overuse. Just at that moment Iruka and Mizuki walked into the classroom. "What the hell is going on here?" Iruka said seeing the top student on the floor at the bottom of the class with the rock-bottom student standing at the top with everyone staring in awe at him. Iruka used his bighead jutsu, "Naruto!"
~Two Days Later~
"Ughhhh. Why did Iruka-sensei make us train together." Said an annoyed Naruto punching a log.
"It's not that bad man." Said Sasuke. That caught Naruto off guard. "What?" Naruto asked in genuine surprise. "I know, I know. But, ever since you beat me and showed me your bloodline, I can respect you. It hasn't been long, but you've showed that you're no longer the dead last. In combat terms of course." Explained Sasuke. "So the whole reason you were always an arrogant bastard to me was because you thought I was weak and pitiful?" Naruto asked with genuine confusion.
"Yes." Sasuke answered thinking that Naruto would've been happy to have a new friend.
"…That's disgusting." Said Naruto who's eyes were now shaded and not visible as he was looking at the floor in anger.
"What?" Sasuke asked surprised.
"You clearly still think of me the same Sasuke.
You still see me as the dead last who would plead to Sakura for a date or be jealous of you. The same dead last who would take anyone as a friend no matter how they treated me. That's not me anymore Sasuke. I will no longer be treated as the dead last." Naruto said releasing some Killing Intent although Naruto had yet to take any lives so it was not strong enough to truly scare Sasuke. 'What's happened to Naruto? Why does he suddenly seem so different these last few days?' Thought Sasuke as he was subconsciously getting into a fighting stance. 'Now is not a good time, kid.' Warned the Kyuubi as many spectators were around and it wouldn't be wise to beat up the star of the village. 'fine.' Naruto responded to Kurama. "I'm done training for the day. I'll see you at graduation's tomorrow." Naruto said as he turned and walked away. 'Hey Kurama' Thought Naruto. 'What's up kid.' Kurama answered. 'Can you fully explain all the capabilities of my new Bloodline limit?' 'sure, kid.' Kuruma started. 'This bloodline limit, as you know, gives you perfect sight. However thats not all' Kuruma started. 'So what all can this thing do?' Naruto was taking his time walking home so he could get the fully explained version of his new power. 'This new power has increased sight, hearing, speed, and strength. It also can slightly teleport you around although you have to have full comprehension of where you're trying to teleport and you can only teleport in a twenty five foot radius around yourself. That is all I have given you as of now.' Kurama finished. 'What do you mean 'as of now'?' Naruto asked. 'I can give you a new ability every three months with this bloodline but there is a max you can have. So in three months you can either stay with the abilities you have or trade one out for a different ability. That is why I said this bloodline limit has unlimited potential compared to the sharingan.' Kurama finished. 'Wow.. This is really an amazing Kurama.' Naruto thought in his mind. 'It is. You will be a strong shinobi, Naruto.' Kurama responded.
Chapter Three End
