ATM: Seth and the God Girls – The Good Housekeeper
After the havoc caused by her brother Shane, Stephanie tries to rebuild the McMahon family name, but the DX family are weary of her intentions and Seth and the God Girls wonder who in the wrestling world they can really trust as they prepare to go to war with Bray Wyatt.
Chapter Twenty-Three – When Blue Bears Attack!
Finn and Becky's wedding reception
As Sheamus was making his toast to the new bride and groom, Seth Rollins made his way over the head table with his son Abiyah who was carrying his favourite toy, his blue teddy bear. Becky and the God Girls' faces lit up when Seth arrived and took his seat next to Bayley.
"You made it!" Becky said hugging Seth whose eyes were firmly locked on Bayley much to the God Girls' amusement.
"You were always one to break from convention," Seth said to her appreciatively and Bayley shrugged.
"I'm glad you made it but I'm sure it was no easy feat getting away from the Boss," Bayley said but Seth wasn't even listening; he was too busy admiring Bayley's appearance.
Abiyah sat on Seth's lap and looked only at Bayley as Sheamus continued to roast the Bride and Groom.
"Yeah, so Becks is a lousy drunk but she's a great gal to have on your side, as I'm sure Set, and the God Girls know fully. Finn couldn't have married a better gal so here's to the both of yah," he said, and everyone raised a glass to Finn and Becky, everyone except Seth until Bianca nudged him.
"Raise your glass Rollins!" Bianca said to him turning his head away from Bayley and Charlotte nudged Bianca.
"Is he supposed to be acting like this?" she asked Seth's Treasurer of Secrets.
"Relax it's a stress response; he's acting like this because Sasha's driving him nuts. It's their pattern, let him enjoy it. The less time he spends thinking about Sasha right now the better," Bianca replied as Finn and Becky kissed.
"Time to cut the cake!" Bayley said getting up and Seth got up with her.
"I'll give you the biggest slice," he said adoringly, and Bayley tried not to laugh at the way he was fawning over her. "Becky, make with the knife. My girl Bayley needs cake!"
The Rock noticed Seth's behaviour too, as did the majority of the roster and guests in attendance.
"She's actually my girl Seth, or did you forget that we're married?" Rocky asked Rollins. "I'll get you some cake Bayley,"
"No that's okay Dwayne, Seth offered first," Bayley replied, and Rocky's jaw dropped as Seth took his wife over to where the cake was being cut.
"What is he doing?" Becky said to Finn behind a wedding cake smile. "I shouldn't complain, after all, Bayley's a God Girl now and that's what we've always wanted,"
"There is something about being a God Girl that makes ya'll so desirable," Finn said as he placed his hands over Becky's so they could cut their wedding cake together. "Who made this cake btw?"
"Roman and Alexa, so you know its gonna be good," Becky said, and everyone cheered as they cut the cake together.
"Cut Bayley the first slice please!" Seth cried out and Hunter and Shawn shot Seth a look of disapproval.
"For crying out loud Seth, Becky and Finn get the first bite. Have you forgotten how this goes already?" Shawn said but Seth didn't care as his wife had soured all his good memories of his wedding night.
"Let's do this Balor, I've got to give Bayley some cake before Seth replaces me with Rhea Ripley," Becky said, and the newlyweds took a bite out of the first cut of their Roman Bliss cake as everyone took pictures.
"That's great now make with the big slice for Bayley," Seth said coming closer to the Bride and Groom.
"Here you go Bayls, all for you," Becky said giving almost a quarter of the first tier of the wedding cake to Bayley via Seth who almost snatched the plate out of her hand.
Seth handed the cake to Bayley like she was the only person in the room that mattered to him, and the God Girls came closer before Becky and Finn had their first dance.
"Here's to you Bayley. I'm so sorry I didn't think you were trustworthy enough to be a God Girl, now I know just how important you are to me and to all of us. I'm so glad you're here and you deserve to have the biggest slice, because you are the sweetest person I have ever met in my entire life. I appreciate you Bayley and welcome to the God Girls!"
Bayley opened her mouth with delight as Seth fed her wedding cake much to Rocky's horror and Roman and the God Girls' amusement.
"That was so cool!" Alexa said as Seth welcomed Bayley to the God Girls the only way he knew how: with controversy.
The Bride and Groom took to the dancefloor along with Seth and the God Girls and they shared a dance that symbolised their unity. Seth and Bayley danced around like best friends while Rocky wondered what on Earth was going on.
"Why isn't she dancing with me?" Rocky asked DX who shrugged with indifference.
"Your wife's a God Girl now, she's going to be spending a lot more time with Seth, just like the others. It's a great life if you're a Girl, but not so great if you're in love with the God Girl," Hunter said and Rocky frowned at Hunter as he chomped on some delicious wedding cake.
"Are you saying Seth's in love with Bayley?!" he asked horrified.
"Seth's in love with all the God Girls. Why do you think they're so close and why they work so well together? ATM commissioned them for a reason, if anyone knows about love, its Amy Trish and Melina. Look how much our lives have changed since ATM was created; Shawn married Amy, I found my long-lost daughter who I love more than life itself and Trish married Randy Orton. Love is the most important thing when it comes to doing anything for God and ATM and the God Girls are surrounded by it. I mean, we're at a freakin wedding Rocky, if you didn't know that Seth loves Bayley, I'm sure you know now,"
"Well, it's unacceptable, I'm not having it. They can dance for one more song then I'm cutting in. She's my wife and I am not going to end up like one of those spouses who's always asking when his wife is coming home," Rocky said.
Shawn and Hunter shook their heads in pity at the Rock, "I guess some people have to learn the hard way that being a servant of God is easy," Shawn said and then he turned and saw the Hurt Business coming to the dance floor. "I wonder what those guys want,"
"Something tells me its not to eat wedding cake and celebrate with the Bride and Groom," Hunter said as the DX kids took their positions and prepared to intercept the dominant faction of the WWE.
Bayley saw them coming as she danced with Seth. "Looks like Sasha sent her henchmen after you. I guess you better be going, eh?" she said regretfully but Seth was enjoying her company too much to care that he was about to be manhandled by his wife's new business associates.
Roman Reigns also made a step towards them, but he needed not have moved as a mighty roar suddenly broke out over the music and the guests went screaming for the exit. A giant blue bear was standing in front of the head table, and it was looking square at the Hurt Business. Seth smiled knowing where the bear had come from.
"Just keep dancing," he said to Bayley calmly as the bear, who was Abiyah's blue bear, chased the Hurt Business away much to Abiyah's delight and that of Roman, ATM, the God Girls and the DX family. When they were gone, the blue bear returned to Abiyah and shrunk back down in size and turned back into a teddy bear.
Roman applauded, "Its good to know that my son has your back Seth, now you don't need me to protect you anymore," he said taking a bite of the wedding cake he created with Alexa Bliss. He gave Seth's Maid of Armour a nod of approval. "This cake turned out great Bliss. You and the God Girls did a great job on this reception hall. Have you ever thought about going into the wedding planning business?"
"Is that a proposition?" Bliss asked Roman as the guests returned to the dance floor seeing that the giant blue bear was gone and so were the Hurt Business, for now.
"Its not a bad idea, we've got a few more weddings scheduled right? You're getting married, Charlotte's getting married, Austin Theory's getting married…"
"Austin Theory?" Bianca Belair said before her husband Tez swooped her away to the coat room that was currently being occupied by Becky and Finn.
"For crying out loud you've got your whole honeymoon to get down!" Tez complained. "I only have my wife for one night before she goes away and does more God Girl stuff!"
Bianca took this time to go and find Austin Theory while Tez begged Becky and Finn to save their private make out session for their honeymoon.
"Something's not right about this, why is Austin Theory moving so fast on LC Helmsley Michaels' sister?" she said to herself, and she wondered outside to find Theory, only to find herself looking into the furious eyes of Sasha Banks.
"I'm done with you God Girls interfering in my marriage," Sasha said.
"Actually, it was your son Abiyah who interfered Sasha. He used his blue bear to chase away your new henchmen, Seth had nothing to do with it," Bianca said, and Sasha tried to go into the reception hall, but Bianca blocked her.
"Get out of my way!" Sasha said but Bianca wouldn't let her pass and they both wrestled around while the fans watched from all around. Soon it was on social media and so was something else, something that was going to take Seth a lot of explaining to do and Sasha the perfect ammunition to break up Seth and the God Girls for good.
