(ROAR)
"It's coming back!" Korg the Kronan exclaimed. He was on a rocky hill, a bit high off the ground.
The beast he was referring to blended into the dark skies above, making it almost impossible to see.
His eyes went all over trying to find something moving in the darkness, but couldn't make anything out.
Suddenly, another loud roar echoed through the night. His friend Miek squeaked next to him, pointing at a moving shadow in the sky. Korg saw it and aimed his cannon towards it, as did Miek.
Another roar came and that was all Korg heard before yelling out,
"FIRE!"
The cannons rapid fire-blasted flame balls at the incoming monster. It soon came into the light and they saw it. A black dragon with fiery purple eyes and scales as dark as night.
As it flew closer and closer, the two didn't let up. However, neither did the dragon. Though it was being wounded by the blasts, it still flew towards them with the intention of finishing them off.
The two were about to run, but just before they did, an axe flew threw the air and landed right in the dragon's neck.
The giant lizard cried out in pain and went down a little but flapped it's wings harder to go higher.
A hearty laugh echoed through the sky before the axe broke away from the dragon's neck and back to it's owner. Thor Odinson.
"We almost have him! He's wounded!" He exclaimed. "Aim fire at its neck, I'll try and distract it."
And with that, his body crackled with lightning and he took off flying after the dragons.
"Righto!" Korg replied with a thumbs up before resuming fire.
The God Of Thunder chased the black giant all around the sky, sticking with it through every twist and turn it took.
Looking down, he saw that Korg and Miek were aiming for it and vegan firing. But the blasts seemed not to affect it, only making it madder.
Taking that as his cue, Thor took his hammer and threw it at the dragon's back where it landed. This earned another cry before it dove. As it did, however, with Thor on its tail, literally, the tail acted as a whip and Thor was swatted away like a fly.
"Thor!" Korg cried out, losing his friend in the darkness. He soon refocused on the dragon hurtling down towards them. This was their chance.
"Now, Miek! Now!"
His friend squeaked and they both fired their cannons up at the beast. The blasts hit it and they were hurting it.
"Its working, Miek! We've got 'im!"
...or so they thought.
The dragon halted its flapping and curled into a ball and began hurtling down like a meteorite to the ground below. As it did, beams from black pillars of obsidian, all around the hill Korg and Miek sat on, shot to the dragon. But they weren't hurting it. No, they were making it stronger. So much so that the blasts from Korg and Miek merely bounced off it's wings, barely scratching it. And it was getting closer, and closer.
"Oh crap," was all Korg said before picking Niek up - metal body armor and all - and dove out of the way, rolling down the hill and onto the rough ground below.
He did this just in time as the dragon uncurled itself and spread out its wings, slowing it just before it his the ground and flapping them hard.
That flap was just enough to send it back into the air, but not before taking out the cannons and scattering Korg and Miek's ammo across the ground. They saw this and were shocked at the sight. They were now all but defenseless.
Once again, the dragon went up for altitude, gaining power from the beams of the pillars. It soon gained enough altitude before whipping around, coming back down to strike the final blow.
As if that weren't enough, the tall black slender monsters of this world were also swarming about them.
They got into a defensive stance, ready to die with honor. That is until...
"You guys mind if I cut in?" A voice spoke on their coms. And it wasn't Thor's.
The two looked up and saw a bright light shined before a figure flew out of it and towards the dragon, t-boning it and sending it falling to the ground. Not dead, but definitely not mobile for the moment.
As the beast lay there, the figure who hit it slowly descended from the sky and landed on its feet on the ground...or rather, her feet.
Standing there in all her glory - cape flapping and all - was none other that the daughter of Thor, herself. Torunn Thorsdóttir.
"Tori! You made it!" Korg exclaimed happily, Miek echoing his glee in his squeaks.
"Couldn't let you guys have all the fun now, could I?" She replied with a smirk. She reached behind her back and pulled out something before tossing it to her rocky friend. "Brought you something."
Korg caught it saw that she actually had brought two things. Another blaster and a fishing pole. "Nice! Thanks!"
Torunn was about to reply, but behind her, the dragon pounced at her. But it was stopped and sent back into the side of a rocky hill by the swing of the blunt end of an axe. And the person who held that axe was-
"Dad!"
Torunn ran over to Thor who landed on his feet and hugged her.
"Haha! That's my girl!" He roared boisterously, "What an entrance! And you knocked that big bad lizard down too! Very well played."
Hearing her father compliment her, Torunn smiled like a kid and blushed. "Thanks, Dad."
Unfortunately, this moment was broken by another loud roar and the sounds of dragon's wings flapping.
"Not done just yet." Torunn said, watching it.
"Right," Thor agreed before looking back to his daughter. "Lets finish this. Together."
Torunn nodded and pulled put her sword, Sharpious, as did her father who called back Stormbreaker the Axe. And the two took off after the dragon, leaving Korg and Miek down on the ground. But they weren't done either, no way.
"Let's have some fun!" The Kronan said before blasting at the tall monsters stalking towards them.
Up above, Torunn and Thor were following the beast but noticed it wasn't going as high. Rather, it was circling the area, staying close to the pillars, who's beams were on it, giving it more strength.
Torunn saw this and a plan began to form.
"Its drawing its strength back from those pillars." She explained to her father. He looked to one of the towers and saw what she meant. "If we take those out, it wont be able to power up again. That's how we beat it."
Understanding this, Thor nodded. "Alright. You take those out, and I'll work him down."
Torunn nodded and broke off, heading down. She flew closer toward one of the pillars and noticed the source of the power beams: a crystal. There were crystals on all of these pillars, and there were ten pillars altogether.
Now, Torunn knew what to do. Readying her sword, she flew with speed towards it and, upon passing, slashed the crystal, causing a minor explosion. Thor saw this from his position up above as he tussled with the dragon. But what he also saw was that, before Torunn had taken out the crystal, the beam was on the dragon. But when it was destroyed, the dragon seemed to cry out and become a bit weakened by it.
Their plan was working.
"Attagirl, Torunn!" Thor bellowed down to her, "Keep going! Get the others!"
And she did. She flew and took out crystal, after crystal, after crystal. And each time she did, the dragon got weaker and weaker. There were only four towers left and Thor was wearing the beast down.
The dragon knew he was losing the fight. Not only that, but also that it would be over soon. In a desperate attempt, he took a deep breath before letting out a large burst of purple flames at Thor. Using Stormbreaker as a shield, he twirled it swiftly, blocking the blast a little. As he was distracted by this, the dragon used this opportunity and backhanded Thor away, sending him flying back. With him taken care of, the dragon went for Torunn.
He saw her flying by the pillars and taking out the crystals. This caused him to be furious and roar.
Torunn heard this and looked up only to see a purple fire blast come at her. Quickly, she used Sharpious to shield the blast. The blast came and held for a moment before it finally stopped. But only a second passed not long enough for her to realize the large tail coming at her. But it did and it sent her flying backwards and into one of the pillars, colliding against it before falling alongside it to the ground.
The blonde princess groaned as she rolled over onto her back, teeth clenched and all. Opening her eyes, Torunn saw a blurry vision of what she knew to be the dragon, landing on a pillar in the middle of the ten pillars, spreading its wings and letting put what could be seen as a roar of victory.
"Bad boy." Torun hissed, blowing a strand of hair from her eyes.
As she slowly tried to get to her feet, Korg and Miek ran over to her.
"Torunn! Are you alright?" Her rocky friend asked as he helped her to her feet.
Though weak, Torunn nodded and used Sharpious to help her stand. "I'm fine. I have to finish this, we're almost there."
"You're sure you've got this, then?"
She nodded again, this time with more determination. "I'm sure."
And with that, she jumped and flew up into the air again.
From it's spot, the reptilian giant saw this and growled viciously. He lifted his wings, a out to take off after her when suddenly, lightning struck him before another force behind it struck it again.
Thor.
"I don't believe we're done just yet!" He said, ramming into the dragon with enough speed to knock it off the pillar.
As the two began to fight, again, Torunn had just taken out the third to last power crystal. With all her strength, she swiftly flew and took out another. Only one remained. She flew towards it, raised her sword and slashed through it with all her might, destroying it.
However, as soon as the crystal went out, down below, the dragon had paused its brawl with Thor and looked up and saw the blonde princess and her handiwork. It was done, there were no more crystals.
This caused him to let out a furious roar before pounding Thor into the ground, not killing him, but definitely disabling him before taking off and disappearing into the dark sky.
Torunn's eyes surfed all around trying to find a piece of the dark sky moving. She knew the predator was up there, somewhere. She also knew what was coming...and what she had to do.
Closing her eyes, she took deep breaths before holding the hilt of Sharpious with both hands. From above, she could hear the echoes of her foe's roar. He was coming back.
Still, she stayed calm and breathed. In through the nose, out through the mouth. In, out. In, out.
She then said a word. Just one.
"Netherite."
And Sharpious lit up with lightning and a purple hue surrounded it. Power up!
Down below, Thor had picked himself up, thanks to Korg and Miek who were still fighting off the slenders. He saw his daughter high up on a pillar, holding her sword fast. But he also saw a darkness move in the sky above, coming closer and closer.
He would have flown up to help her, but he was weak. All he could do was cry put to her.
"TORUNN!"
The princess opened her eyes and they were glowing as her power flared. She then turned around and
"I'm sorry, my friend. You'll forgive me for this."
With that, she ran the three big steps she had before jumping off the pillar with Sharpious held high, the colorful lightning still swirling and crackling about it.
The dragon flew straight for her, eyes flaring and mouth open wide.
The two came closer and closer before...
[SLASH]
-with one swipe of her sword, Torunn ascended to the ground, landing hard on her feet. The dragon however, suffered a terrible blow and was now dying. But instead of falling to the ground, the giant reptile began to float high into the sky. As it did, a light began to glow from within it and engulfed its body.
It grew brighter and brighter until a burst of energy sent tiny, glowy balls everywhere.
"Power beads!" Korg cheered as he and Miek ran to pick some up.
As the two had fun leveling up with the "power beads", an egg appeared next to Torunn. It was all black with purple speckles all round it. The egg of the dragon. And it was now hers.
She picked up her prize and admired it, surprised but happy she had made it to this point. But not alone did she do it.
A hand came around and hugged her shoulder, a hand of her father's. Looking to him, she saw him smiling proudly.
"Well done, sweetie." He said to her. "You fought bravely and emerged victorious."
"Thank you, Father." She said with a light blush. "I couldn't have done it without you."
"Of course not. After all, I am the Mighty Thor!" Thor puffed put his chest and posed dramatically. This gained a laugh from Torunn which he soon joined in on. "No, I'm kidding. Of course you could have. You know why?"
Torunn had a feeling she knew the answer, but she stayed silent and listened.
"Because you, my daughter are mighty. Even mightier than me. You can overcome mountains. And that's not so easy, believe me. I've fought mountain monsters before."
"What I'm trying to say is, I'm very proud of you. And I know you will accomplish great things."
By now, tears of joy had made their way to Torunn's eyes. The words of her father really touched her heart. And having lived most of her life without them and dreaming of having them, it meant so much to her and she was grateful.
Setting the egg down, she jumped up and hugged Thor with all her might. The Thunder God laughed and hugged her back tight.
"I love you, Daddy." Torunn whispered to him, more tears coming through.
Hearing that, Thor felt a tear run down his cheek but he let it. He wasn't ashamed. "I love you too, Torunn."
They held the hug for a bit longer before breaking it, but still held each other.
As they did, a portal appeared beneath them. They knew what that meant.
"Shall we go home?" Thor asked his daughter.
Chuckling a little, Torunn nodded. "Yes, definitely," She reached down and picked her egg before looking to Korg and Miek, who were still scrambling for power beads. "C'mon guys! Let's go home!"
"Right behind you!" Korg called back, running up to them.
And they all jumped into the portal together.
As if they had closed their eyes and reopened them to something new, darkness momentarily surrounded the four before they woke up in a luscious green world.
"Ah, it's good to be back here in Verscam." Korg sighed happily.
"It is, indeed," Thor said in agreement.
"Hey!"
Torunn, Thor, Korg, and Miek, all on a couch - and in casual, pajama-like clothes as opposed to their armor - all looked over their shoulders and saw none other than their friend Valkyrie, or simply Val, standing in the doorway to the room. The Palace Game Room.
"You guys still playing that game?"
"It's Minecraft, Val. And yes, we just had a glorious battle and victory against the Ender." Thor replied boastfully.
That seemed to confused Val. "Ender? Who's the Ender?"
"Torunn's pet Ender dragon," Korg jumped in proudly, "she killed it. But its back now, and she's friends with it!"
Confusing as it sounded, it was true. All Torunn could do was give a nervous smile and shrug.
"Right." Was all Val said to that. Good thing she cared about them, otherwise she'd probably be annoyed. "Anyway, we're ready for you. Your Majesties." She said, looking to Thor.
"Ah, right." The thunder king stood from the couch and groaned loudly as he stretched.
"Its time?" Torunn asked with excitement.
"Mhm!" Val hummed with a smirk.
"YESSS!" The blonde princess exclaimed, jumping up from the couch and running out of the room. "Race you there, Father!"
Thor laughed at that and ran after her. "Oh, I'm right behind you!"
The two had raced off, leaving their friends behind, already knowing they'd meet them there.
Thor and Torunn had made it to the roof, with Torunn running right past him and twirl-jumping off the roof. She didn't fall for very long as her sword, Sharpious came along and carried her into the sky. As it did, her entire wardrobe changed from sweatpants, fluffy socks, and a hoodie from her boyfriend to her cool Asgardian armor.
The same for Thor who called Stormbreaker, who came to him just as he jumped as well. Now in his own armor, the king raced after his daughter, catching up with her in the air.
Torunn looked to her father and smiled upon seeing him, and Thor smiled back.
The father-daughter duo enjoyed this moment as the flew through the air and over their home. Their "kingdom".
New Asgard.
BOOM! How's THAT for a start? 😂😂 I'm sure by now, you guys know where Torunn, Thor, Korg and Miek were, but be honest...did I confuse you at first? Lol. I wanted to start off with action, but a bit of a humorous and unexpected route. And this seemed like a good one. Lmk what you guys think!
(Also, I'm in need of your feedback on something. I'm prepping to begin writing the story for the solo White Tiger fic. The plot is set, the characters are picked, and the cast is pretty much finalized...but there is one thing. During my "production process", it has come to my attention that there could potentially be another casting choice for Ava Ayala, which is actually quite good and could even become real some day. The one is actress/TikTok sensation Sara Echeagaray. She is of good age, talent, ethnicity, and resemblance to carry the role of Ava. However, I am still attached to Yvette Monreal as her. So what do you guys think? For White Tiger, should it be Yvette or Sara?)But yeah, that's it for this chapter guys. More will be coming soon, leading up to something big. Trust me. 👍 👍 😉
Til next chapter, stay safe and Happy Friday! 😊
