So fun fact, my family came for a surprise visit for my birthday and I cried so hard the whole restaurant was staring XD.
Chapter 4:
Taking the VIP elevator, Marinette scrolled on her phone and waited to get to the pent house. She had texted her friends to let them know she was there and heading up in the elevator. Maybe after seeing her friends after almost a week of them being weird, she'd finally get some answers from her best friends. Walking through the halls she had walked through plenty of times since becoming besties with Chloe, the awe of the fanciness of the hotel had faded on her.
She had barely knocked on the hotel room door when it was yanked open and she was pulled into a hug tight enough to knock the air out of her.
"Mari! I missed you so much!" Chloe squealed. "A week without my bestie is too long!"
"Hi honey." Mari laughed as her other friends gave her hugs. "Hi Nino. Hi Kagami. Hi Luka. It's been a while. I was getting worried."
"Yeah, sorry to have worried you so much, Mari." Nino rubbed the back of his neck nervously, as if worried she'd be angry with them.
"We've just been really busy planning tonight." Kagami smiled at her as Chloe hugged her arm.
"You could've asked me to help." Marinette pouted, looking around at just how decorated the room had been and all the food on the table. "I'm always willing to help."
"We know, Mari." Luka smiled at her, wrapping an arm around her neck as Kagami took her overnight bag. "But we wanted to plan this for you."
"We've been planning a really big surprise for you, Mari! I know you'll love it!" Chloe cheered. "I even picked out some new outfits for you for our weekend of fun!"
"You should take a look at them in the closet." Kagami agreed, a devious glint in her eyes.
"Ok?" Marinette laughed, a bit confused as to why she had to look in the closet instead of the clothes not already being thrown at her to try on by her fashionable bestie.
Laughing slightly at the expectant looks from her friends as she walked over to the closet, she grabbed the handle, opened the door… and then closed it again.
"W-Wait a minute…" She said, unable to control her shock.
She opened the door again to see the two UA boys smiling nervously at her. Tears pricked her eyes as she finally processed her cousin and childhood best friend.
"Surprise…" The two boys tried to cheer, despite their nervousness as they smiled at her.
"W-Wait…" she muttered as she lost control of her tears, a hand coming to her mouth.
"Blue…" Bakugou said softly, worried about the girl.
"Oh, Mari, please don't cry!" Midoriya cried, waving his hands in front of him in an attempt to calm her down.
"Come on, Mari. We're sorry. Please don't cry." Bakugou joined in, attempting to calm the girl.
"I-It's ok… I just…" Mari sobbed as her friends gathered around her and Chloe wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Don't worry, boys. She's fine. Just a bit surprised." She soothed the boy, leading Marinette to an empty seat.
The pair of girls didn't get far as the bluenette turned and nearly tackled Deku and Bakugou in a hug, crying on their shoulders. They shared a relieved look with one another as they supported the crying girl. Around the room, the parisian teens nodded to each other with pleased looks that the surprise went off with a hit.
"I missed you two so much!" she cried, hugging them tightly.
Pulling away, she held the two boys by opposite shoulders, smiling at them with tears running down her cheeks.
"When did you get here?" she demanded, pulling them in for another hug. "I can't believe you're here."
"Chloe brought us. We got in earlier today." Midoriya explained.
"When you called us, we were actually being forced to try on a bunch of new clothes. Deku panicked." Bakugou grinned as Marinette looked them both over in shock and excitement.
"I knew something was up!" she laughed as she pulled away and looked them over with a, albeit teary, expert eye. "You both look good! Perfect work, Chloe."
"I aim to please." The blonde nodded, drawing the bluenette's attention.
"Oh Honey!" Mari exclaimed as she rushed over and hugged her bestie. "Thank you so much for bringing them here."
"Of course! I had to treat my best friend." Chloe laughed.
"Hey what about us?" Nino said in mock offense as the two girls turned to look at him and he gestured to Luka and Kagami. "We helped!"
"What exactly did you do?" Kagami asked, who had helped Chloe with planning everything.
"I had to bring all the pillows here." Nino exclaimed, holding a hand to his chest in mock shock.
"The maids brought those in." Chloe corrected.
"We put together a sick music list." Luka grinned, hanging an arm over Nino's shoulders. "And we ordered all the food."
With that, the blue haired boy grabbed yet another piece of sushi from the almost empty plate. The two boys antics caused everyone in the room to laugh.
"I'm so grateful to have such amazing friends." Mari said, sweetly as Chloe hugged her arm.
"Yes, we're all very amazing." Chloe nodded, and grinned at her. "But I actually did pick out some new clothes for you. They're in my room. C'mere!"
The two girls laughed as the bluenette grabbed Kagami as well while Chloe dragged her away.
"Be right back, boys~" the blonde called as she slammed the door to her bedroom.
As silence filled the room, Bakugou took off his jacket and tossed it onto the couch as he plopped back into the fuzzy loveseat. Midoriya grinned at his friend as he joined him on the couch.
"That was awesome." the blonde boy grinned. "Sucks to see her cry but it's a good thing they were happy tears."
"Definitely, dude." Nino agreed as he grabbed a chocolate doughnut off the impressive pile of them on the table. "Better get over here before the girls try to stop us from clearing the table."
"Don't mind if I do." Bakugou nodded and stood, joining the two parisian boys at the buffet table.
Midoriya looked in the direction of the door they girls had disappeared behind and smiled, standing to join the boys at the table as well.
