As Vance walked away, they sunk down into their cells, unsure of how to spend their next days in an effective jail.
'I spy, with my little eye' Frypan began. 'Something beginning with… B'
'Bullshit?' Thomas questioned.
'Correct' he replied. 'Ding ding ding, you win…fuck all.'
'Hilarious' Thomas said. 'You should be a comedian you know.'
'I do know yeah' he retorted. 'I also know I don't wanna be stuck in this bloody cell.'
'Well, too bad' said Brenda, clearly annoyed. 'You are, so just deal with it.'
'Hey, what's your problem' said Frypan. 'I'm just saying.'
'This is gonna be a long week,' said Jorge, laughing. 'Well, two days for me.'
'Laugh all you want old man' said Frypan. 'When we all get out, we'll beat you up.'
Jorge just laughed again and said 'I'd like to see you try.'
'No offence Frypan,' said Thomas. 'I think Jorge would wipe the floor with you.'
'Yeah' the others murmured in agreement.
'Thanks for the vote of confidence guys' said Frypan.
'You're welcome,' said Thomas. 'Love you buddy.'
And that was the last of the conversations for that night, as not too soon later, people started to fall asleep. Aside from almost constant sarcastic bickering, interrupted only by their meal times, the days went by quicker than expected. Jorge managed to escape his confines right on schedule, being sure to blow them all a kiss as he walked away. They took it pretty well considering everything. But, following Jorge's departure, the days and nights started to mould together, a constant wait for freedom. Thomas and Brenda loved talking about what they would do when they got out. Frypan was just looking forward to a good meal. Eventually, their time came. The week that had felt like an eternity had finally come to an end. They were free again. And when they were free, via a trip to the toilet, Frypan bolted for the food area. Eventually, after a good meal, they were briefed on what had happened. One fight had broken out, but nothing too drastic. They had already finished constructing the secondary prison block, so they both were thrown in there for three days with one meal a day.
They had graciously waited for Thomas and co. before moving onto the main agenda, punishing the prankster behind the 'WICKED is good' scare. They had suggested a month with one meal a day, but nonetheless it had to be a unanimous verdict. And unanimous it was. The punishment was eventually upgraded to two months with one meal a day for the first three weeks, and two meals following that. And, following the satisfying verdict, Thomas and Brenda were finally able to begin living a normal life. Thomas always kept the symbols of Teresa and Chuck near him, to honour them. He would never forget who helped him to get to where he was. For everyone else, normality was able to finally resume, with no sign of that ending any time in the future. Minho and Chloe continued to get closer, as his leg healed, and he returned to full working order. Even Frypan was able to finally admit he was happy. They all finally had the peace they had been denied for so long.
A/N: This is my second completed story in as many weeks. As always thank you to everyone who read and kept up with this. Whether or not you believe the ending was rushed, or that there was more to tell, I'm happy with how it turned out and I hope you were too. Keep reading and stay tuned.
