Episode 11: Love Is In The Air
Highschool
After the visit to the other dimension, Noah felt the need to spend more time with his best friend doing the things they used to love most, that's why when Jake came up with the idea of making a video about him showing his best soccer skills for the future, Noah quickly grabbed his camera and followed his friend.
Now, at the field, Noah put the trash cans far enough from each other and looked at Jake, changed now in his training clothes and with two soccer balls in his hands.
-This is going to be epic. -said, Jake.
-I bet! Ready when you are! -said, Noah.
Jake nodded and looked at the soccer balls to focus then, he throw both of them into the air and kicked them at the same time, with an effect so each soccer ball ended up in a different trash can. Noah laughed while Jake walk towards him, saying something to the camera and then lowering the camera.
-Let's try it from afar. -said, Noah.
Jake nodded and they moved the trash can and the soccer balls to keep practicing until they got the perfect video.
Alien Ship
Levira hid from everybody and got into the Lab, looking for something when a pair of hands covered her vision she smiled when she recognized those hands and turned around to see her monster, Invidious.
-What brings you here, oh my beautiful Levira? -asked Invidious.
-I wanted to see you… Prince Vekar is still crying over that pathetic Ranger and I got sick of it. -said Levira.
-You know that Ranger has been causing us more trouble than we thought. -said Invidious-… at least he is distracted from us.
-Ah, you are…
-Invidious!
Both monsters turned around to look at Damaras and Prince Vekar walking into his Lab and broke any contact between them. Prince Vekar didn't allow any contact between them and seeing them together would be punished by Invidious death and Levira's imprisonment for life.
-Yes, your majesty? -asked Invidious.
-I have a mission for you! I want you to go and get me that Green Ranger. -said Prince Vekar.
Both Invidious and Levira looked at each other, confused. Everyone knew Invidious was not a fighter, he worked in their Lab. But Prince Vekar seemed desperate enough to use him and he knew exactly how to make Invidious follow his orders.
-If you do it. I will grant you and Levira to be together but you need to bring me the Ranger alive so I can torture him and see the other Rangers suffer, you understand? -said Prince Vekar.
Invidious looked at Levira and then back at Prince Vekar. She was telling him not to do it, it wasn't worth it to get destroyed by a chance to be together but Invidious didn't think the same and he nodded, taking a step forward toward his Prince.
-I will do it, your majesty. -said Invidious.
Even Damaras was taken aback but he allowed Invidious to walk out of the Lab, while Levira tried to stop him but stop herself before she could grab Invidious' hand and watched him disappear to get the Green Ranger.
Highschool (Soccer Field)
Jake and Noah were getting everything together before leaving the soccer field, happy not only of having recorded the video but to spend a most needed time together. While Jake put the soccer balls back in the bag, Noah put the trash cans back where they belong when they hear something and turned around, to see a monster and X-Borgs.
-X-Borgs, grabs the Green Ranger! -screamed Invidious.
Jake and Noah share a quick look before the X-Borgs ran to grab Jake. Noah stood in the middle, trying to stop them but they ignored him completely, focused on their task to kidnap the Green Ranger at any cost while Invidious grabbed a few bottles and mixed a new potion that he prepared.
Unable to help like this, Noah ran behind and hid behind a wall before grabbing his morpher.
-Guys! We need help, X-Borgs and a monster are trying to kidnap Jake! -said, Noah.
Then, Noah grabbed his morph, determined not to let anyone take his friend away again.
-Super Megaforce! -screamed Noah.
Noah morphed into the Super Megaforce Blue and ran back into the field but he had to stand between Jake and X-Borgs to try their attack on Jake that didn't even have time to morph. Blue looked at Jake and nodded, giving him some room to catch his breath when he saw the other Rangers appear, taking more X-Borgs with them.
-What is going on? -asked Red Super Megaforce.
-They want Jake! -said Blue Super Megaforce.
The Rangers were too focused on the X-Borgs that didn't see Invidious but Jake did, raising his hand to morph but before he could do anything, Invidious threw his new potion on Jake's feet and the Ranger started to feel dizzy, falling to his knees and surrounded by a cloud of green smoke.
-Jake!
Yellow Super Megaforce's screams alerted the other Rangers but when she started to run towards him, Invidious appeared, grabbing Jake, and looking up at the Rangers.
-I'm sorry but I have to do this. -said Invidious.
With that, Invidious and Jake disappeared before the Rangers could do anything. Pink ran to her best friend a put a hand on her shoulder, making her turn around. Yellow was tense, her fists closed and when she demorphed, her expression was furious.
Pink demorphed too along with Red, Blue, and Troy walked towards them with Noah looking down as if this was his fault.
-We should go back. -said Troy, grabbing Emma's hand-… maybe we can track Jake with Billy's and Tenshou's help.
-I swear to God if they hurt him I will destroy them all. -whispered Gia.
Her voice was low, so low the Rangers weren't sure if it was her or the Tiger talking, probably both. Emma, Noah, and Troy were feeling their spirits burning with fury too but they had ways to calm them down while Gia's emotions were all over the place.
The Rangers ran towards a hidden place and teleported back to the Command Center, hopefully, they will have Jake's location soon and will be able to find him.
Alien Ship
-You can't do this! -screamed Levira.
Prince Vekar raised his hand, ignoring her, and allowed the X-Borgs to lock the door of the Lab where Invidious and the Green Ranger were now trapped. Jake looked at the door, he was in a cell, unable to do anything, and with a bleeding lip and purple eye while Invidious had his hand on his face, furious about this betrayal.
Invidious looked at Jake and got up, walking closer to the Ranger's cell.
-I can't believe he trapped me here. -said Invidious, looking at Jake-. He said I could be with Levira if I captured you!
Jake looked at the monster and slowly, started to put the pieces together. He raised an eyebrow and put his hands on the bars of his cage, getting the monster's attention.
-You can feel the love? -asked Jake.
-We have feelings too, humans! -said Invidious, looking down-. Ah… you wouldn't understand…
-Then explain it to me because right now I not understanding anything -said, Jake.
Invidious sat down on the ground and sighed while Jake looked at him and sat down on the other side of his cage.
-Levira and I meet before becoming part of The Armada. We weren't going to be part of it, you know? But I am a brilliant scientist and Prince Vekar and Prince Vrak called for my services in a way I couldn't say no… when Levira saw that I was forced to join the Armada, she joined too. -said Invidious, chuckling-. She is the woman who created the device we use to resurrect and make monsters big when you defeat them.
-I see… so you were in love, was forced to become part of this Armada and... I'm going to assume Prince Vekar and Prince Vrak don't want love on their ships. -asked Jake.
-Yes, they forbid our relationship. -said Invidious-. We still manage to see each other but it felt as if we were hidden… as if our love was bad… we didn't want that.
-So you got Prince Vekar's promise that if you captured me, you and Levira could be happy. -said, Jake.
Invidious nodded, he looked down, feeling stupid for trusting the Prince while Jake looked down at his hands, there was a small pulse he could use to get them out of there, and could also take the chance on facing Prince Vekar and finish this…
…no, Bastro was not ready for this and Jake didn't think he could do this alone.
-What if I help you and Levira to escape? -asked Jake.
-What? -asked Invidious-… you would help us? After I captured you?
Jake smiled.
-I am in love with someone too. She is the most beautiful, independent, intelligent, and strong woman I have ever seen and the most incredible part of it is that she wants me too so, yeah I will help you because I know what is to be in love with someone and be ready to do anything to be with them. -said, Jake.
Invidious made a gesture as if he was going to cry but nodded and quickly moved to his desk, starting to mix several liquids while Jake looked at him, confused.
-What are you doing? -asked Jake.
-Getting you out of that cell then you can help us-said Invidious, turning to look at the Ranger-. Maybe you Rangers are not as bad as we think.
Jake nodded and looked as Invidious prepared a potion to get him out of there while he thought that maybe he could gain some allies on the alien side if he helped them. He looked at his morpher no, he had to do this because it was the right thing to do.
Command Center
Finding Jake was all an adventure but after a long scan, Billy was able to find the Ranger thanks to the satellite no other than Damon Henderson, the Green Galaxy Ranger connected to the Astro Ship that has been on standby since the Armada appeared.
-Damon… can you get a sound or an image of what is going on inside? -asked Billy.
-I'm not sure… this alien ship seems different from anything I have seen before. -said, Damon.
Billy looked down, this was no good if they know that Jake is there but they can't see or hear him. Billy took a look to the side and saw Troy looking at his screen, using his device to connect with the city, alert to see if more monsters appeared. Noah was doing science with the substance he managed to retrieve from the spot where the monster took Jake. Emma made tea and sat down with Gia while the Yellow Ranger seemed to be more focused on containing her rage until you look closer and you could see Gia was watching what everyone was doing and the screen, scanning for any image of Jake or the monster.
-We have to find a way to get a better look on that ship…-said Billy.
Suddenly, a portal appeared and from it, Levira emerged, looking confused because she was standing in the middle of the Command Center while Troy ran in front of his friends and prepare to morph but before he could do it, Levira raised his hands, showing Jake's Megaforce Morpher.
-Please don't attack! I got sent her by Jake. He put the coordinates of this place on his morpher. -said Levira.
-Jake? Why would Jake do something like that? -asked Emma.
Gia was already walking to Levira but when the monster saw the Ranger, Levira quickly gave her Jake's morpher and looked up at her.
-I'm guessing you are Gia? He told me to give you this and to open the morpher. He recorded some kind of message. -said Levira.
Gia took the morpher and looked at it, touching it before she opened the morpher and an image of Jake appeared in front of her. The Rangers could see Jake with a bleeding lip and bruised eye but he seemed to be smiling when he talked to the morpher.
-Hi, Gia and everyone. I hope Levira can bring this to you. You see, they are in love and Prince Vekar promised Invidious they could be together if Invidious captured me but when he managed to do that, Prince Vekar broke his end of the deal and we are both trying to get out before that aliens and his friends had an execution party with us. -explained Jake-. I'm helping Invidious to get out of here so he can reunite with Levira and they can leave, I know what you all are going to say but is love and I can't look away.
Jake sighs and the Rangers have mixed feelings between frustration for his need to save everyone, even the enemy, and pride because Jake has a high value on love and he is willing to risk his life for two people in love.
-Levira should come soon so I have to say goodbye for now. -said Jake, smiling-. I see you all in a few hours and Gia, I love you and I will be there for our date. I promise.
The message ended there while Billy took several steps towards Levira and the morpher. He asked Gia for it and then put it on Jake's screen, trying to scan it in a way to find a way to look into the ship. For her part, Levira took a step towards Troy but was stopped by Emma.
-You better stay away from him. -said, Emma.
-I'm not interested in your lover but he has been on our ship before, right? With that Dino Ranger. -said Levira.
-Yes but we only were in the Command Room and…-started Troy.
-Is enough, my energy can't reach the whole ship but if you give me your hand I should be able to project the Command Room on your screen. -said Levira-… Invidious and Jake will have to activate the portal there to come back to Earth.
-You mean they will have to fight the way there? -asked Noah.
-Not really, Invidious knows passages they can use but with your boy's luck… who knows…-said Levira, looking down before she raises her head to look at Troy-… all you have to do is touch your screen and think about that Command Room, my energy will do the rest?
-Is your ship? Can't you do it? -asked Emma.
-I need all my energy to let you see what is inside of the ship, child. Don't believe I'm not risking my life here. If Prince Vekar knew I'm here he would have me executed with them. -said Levira, looking from Emma to Troy-… would you do it or not?
Troy looked at his friends but his choice was made long before he looked at them. If there was a chance to see what was happening, he was going to use it.
-Let's do it. -said, Troy.
-Very well. -said Levira.
Troy walked towards his screen and sighed, touching it while he thought about the Command Room as he remembers it then, he felt Levira's hand and the monster raised her hand, projecting the images of the Command Room for the rest of the Rangers.
-Oh my god… -said Emma.
-Jake…
Noah lowered his head, frustrated while Troy opened his eyes, looking at the image of Invidious and Jake, running from X-Borgs and Argus.
Alien Ship
Invidious ran in front of Jake as they entered the Command Room and Invidious locked it behind Jake, it won't stop them, since Damaras was outside but it should give them enough time. Jake ran towards the control room where he got his Super Megaforce morpher while Invidious started to press several keys on the panel.
-What are you doing now? -asked Jake.
-Open the portal, is the only way back to Earth if we don't use the tele transporter! -said Invidious-… watch the door, I'm not sure if is going to hold!
Jake turned around and already saw that the door was about to be opened by the X-Borgs so he think the only thing he could do and looked at his morpher, grab the key, and activating the morpher.
-Dino Thunder! Power Up! Ha! -screamed Jake.
Jake transformed into the Dino Thunder Black Ranger and prepared the Brachio Staff to run toward the X-Borgs and attack them when they started to run toward Invidious to stop him. The Rangers was fighting with everything he had when he saw a portal start opening to the side and took some distance from the X-Borgs.
-Brachio Staff! -screamed the Black Ranger-. Wind Strike!
A tornado hit the X-Borgs, throwing them back while the Ranger turned around and saw the portal opening, little by little but when he looked in, he could see the familiar location… the Command Center. The Ranger looked at Invidious but even Jake could put two and two together, Invidious created the portal following Levira's energy.
-We will be out of here in a minute! -said Invidious.
-We don't have time! Get out!
-Invidious! -screamed Damaras.
Jake didn't think about it. The Black Ranger pushed Invidious and himself through the portal, closing it after them but was unable to stop the laser beam Damaras fired at Invidious, hitting the monster while they fell to the ground, in the Rangers Command Center.
-Jake!
Jake demorphed and looked over, being helped by Gia to stand while Levira knelt in front of Invidious, who was changing colors then, the monster just stopped and got up, his white eyes turning red as he looked at Jake.
-You! Is your fault!
The Rangers and Levira barely have time to stop Invidious when he used his powers to throw Jake so hard he threw him out of the Command Center and towards the beach.
Beach
Jake recovered quickly, getting up while Invidious jumped and tried to attack him again, luckily for Jake he learned enough from both Jason and Tommy to be able to block Invidious attacks while the Rangers and Levira ran after them, trying to stop the fight.
-What is he doing!? -asked Gia.
-He got hit by the laser beam… -said Levira, thinking-…. They used my creation with him…
-What are you talking about? -asked Noah.
-Invidious is blinded by the anger of not being able to be with me. I created a laser to make our monster's rage grow and attack you more aggressively using the anger they are already feeling for different reasons in our favor and control them mentally to use that anger against the Rangers-said Levira.
-So if that weapon hit Invidious then… he thinks now Jake is the one to blame for you two not being together? -asked Emma.
-Yes… and I didn't create an antidote. The only way for this to be over is… destroy Invidious -said Levira, with a broken voice.
- We won't do that!
Jake avoided the Invidious attack and kick him again, since he didn't have his Megaforce morpher, he grabbed his key and activated his Super Megaforce Morpher.
-Go! Go! Megaforce!
Jake transformed into the Megaforce Black Ranger and without thinking, he took a deep breath, calling for his snake that appeared like a shadow behind the Black Ranger then, the Black Ranger moved his hand and commanded the Snake to trap Invidious.
-AGH! -screamed Invidious.
The Black Ranger walked towards Invidious slowly and still using the Snake to trap him, he used both hands to grab Invidious' head and connect their foreheads, passing some of the monster's anger onto the Black Ranger but with a clear difference, Invidious' rage wasn't making the Black Ranger furious, it was hurting him.
-I'm not watching this again…-said Gia, grabbing her Megaforce morpher-. Go! Go! Megaforce!
-Gia!
Emma didn't grab Gia on time and the Yellow Ranger ran towards her boyfriend, hugging him and allowing some of his pain to go through her. The Yellow Ranger screamed in pain but she didn't let go of the Black Ranger.
-No… get out… of here…-whispered the Black Megaforce Ranger.
-Never… we are in this… together…-whispered the Yellow Megaforce Ranger in response.
The Black Megaforce Ranger didn't want her to suffer but she only hug him tighter and both of them suffered through the pain while Invidious watched them, surprised of seeing that form of love until he felt hands around him and he saw Levira, hugging him.
-Levira? -asked Invidious.
-We are free, my love… let them go… we can be together now…-said Levira.
Instantly, the power was broken and both Black and Yellow Megaforce Rangers were thrown to the side, demorphing while Invidious turned around and looked at Levira, grabbing her hands. On the side, Emma, Troy, and Noah got to where their friends were and helped them to get up.
Jake looked at Gia and touched her face.
-Are you ok? I swear to God, Gia. If something happened to you I would go crazy… -said Jake.
-I'm fine. -said, Gia-. You don't have to go through any pain alone. I'm here.
Jake hugged her and Gia smiled, hugging him back while the Rangers behind them smiled and looked at each other then, Jake and Gia broke their hug and looked at Levira and Invidious, walking towards them, both monsters holding hands.
-Jake… thank you for getting Invidious out of there alive. -said Levira-… but there is another favor we would like to ask you.
Jake looked at his friends and then nodded, looking back at Levira and Invidious.
-Sure, what can I do for you?
-Is there any planet where we can start a new life? Of course, we can work. I can create new engines and Invidious is a good scientist…-said Levira, looking down-… I know we are not considered 'good' but we want a chance to leave in peace.
Jake tittle his head, thinking, and then looked back, to where Billy was standing with a small iPad that showed Damon Henderson's smiling face.
-Hey, Uncle Damon. What do you think? Would you like to have an engineer and a scientist on Mirinoi? -asked Jake.
-That could be useful for us, Jake. We hear the conversation and I already called Andros, he should be there to pick them up any moment. -said, Damon.
Just at that moment, the Astro Ship appeared in the sky and landed on the beach, opening the door so Invidious and Levira could get in and get transported to their new life.
-Well… there you go. -said, Jake.
Invidious walked towards the Ranger and hugged him, surprising Jake while Levira nodded as a 'thank you and then, both monsters walked away, getting into the Astro Ship while Andros waved at the Rangers and transported the new passage towards their next destination: Mirinoi.
-I'll go prepare everything for their arrival. Bye, Rangers! -said, Damon.
The Rangers said goodbye to Damon and saw the ship disappear before walking along with Billy toward the Command Center. They were silent until Emma chuckled and pushed her shoulder lightly against Jake's, getting his attention.
-All these years and I never knew you were so romantic, Jacob. -said, Emma-. It seems our Yellow friend hit the jackpot with you.
The Rangers laughed but Jake kissed Gia's hand and looked at Emma.
-I hit the jackpot with her and that reminds me. We have a date to attend, so…-said Jake.
-So, bye everyone! -said, Gia.
Gia and Jake walked away from the other Rangers while they laughed. Troy and Emma hold hands and walked inside the Command Center while Noah shook his head, smiling, and followed them with Billy close to them.
A good end for this day.
