Clara

"Good morning master Iruma!" Az's light and cheerful voice greeted her the second she crossed the gateway. "I have acquired our schedules for the day." The teen held up a piece of paper to show the approaching bluette. In the process, he brought every eye in the court yard to him.

"Good morning, Az." She tried out the nickname again. It felt right but she just hoped it wasn't offensive as she hadn't taken note of his reaction yesterday, too preoccupied with a teacher turned bird.

The boy seemed to glow at her word. Then again she was sure even if she spat on him, he would be happy. So that wasn't a super telling sign.

"So, what's on the agenda for today." she asked, peering at the paper in his hold. The boy held it still for her to inspect as he recited.

"We are scheduled to get our textbooks, as well as explore the school grounds."

"Well, if we get our textbooks now, I'm sure grandpa will let us store them in his office." She hummed looking at the boy.

"An excellent suggestion, Master." The teen beamed. "Shall we go get them now?"

"Might as well." She shrugged. "So what classes are we taking?"

"Well, the core classes are Introduction to Magic, Diabotany, Torture Arts, and the History of Demondom." Izumi listened on in slight surprise. Only one of those sounded grotesque and the others just sounded like the demon version of high school class. After the school theme, she thought all the classes would make her cringe but it was strangely normal. Except for the torture class. That was a tad weird. "We are almost there, Master."

Izumi heard it before Az and she grabbed the back of his jacket forcing him to stop before rounding the corner. He looked back at her questioningly until a loud yelling flew by them.

"Rolling~" It yelled and the green blur crashed just out of sight. Both demons poked their head around the corner to find that the blur was in fact a young looking girl.

Izumi had taken but a single stride forward to check on the girl when Azmodeus put his hand on her shoulder. "Master, we must not talk to her." She turned her head to see a look of almost dread and fear on the boy's face.

"Why?" It was a valid question. There didn't seem to be a reason to not talk to her.

"That's Clara Valac." He said as if that should have cleared things up. Upon seeing her still confused look, he expanded on those words. "She's a weirdo. Anyone near her gets dragged into her games. Most of the time they end up having to clean up her messes. It's better not to associate with her."

That was kinda sad. If everyone saw her like this they must avoid her alot. But maybe the boy was right. What did she even know?

As if the green haired female sensed her indecision, she was over in a flash, speaking so quickly it was hard for her to keep up. "Hey, My name's Clara. My left foot is Murph and my right foot is Conner. I'm getting my textbook. Are you? Do you want some candy? I got distracted by the box tower. It's fun to make things go pow, and boom. Wanna watch me do it again?" The blue haired woman just took the piece of candy and watched the girl flit back to the boxes to stack them again.

She could help but stand there and watch the chaos that was Clara Valac.

"Hey, stop that." A teacher cried. She believed he was called Professor Dali. With a wave of his hand all three teens were bound with rope and whizzing down the hallway and out of the school. Ah, this is familiar. Almost like that time she got kidnapped by a demon lord.

Idly, she wondered how often she would be tied up and stolen away. When they were outside the ropes disappeared and let them drop to the ground.

Three bundles of books flew behind them and dropped haphazardly to the ground. Clara seemed to think this a merry game and rolled around on the ground chanting 'again' repeatedly.

"Izumi-chi, Azz-Azz. Do you want to play with me?" Before either could answer she was already pulling items that couldn't possibly fit in her pockets out. "I have all sorts of cool things." She began to prattle off a list.

The pink haired teen leaned down. "Let's run for it."

Izumi looked over at the girl who seemed so over excited to play. "I'm gonna stay." She declared. "If you wanna go, you can."

The blue haired girl was trying to give the boy an out so he didn't have to do what he didn't want to. However Asmodeus took it as a dismissal from her side. Az did not want his master to think that he would abandon the blue haired boy the first chance he got. "No, Master. If you are going to play, then so will I."

"Let's play house." The girl giggled, little signs in her hands. "First we have to pick a dog." She held up the sign. Clara handed the sign to Izumi. Having never had the time to play, she didn't really know what to do with it.

"Arf." She said the word in a very lazy voice without putting much effort into it. However the girl seemed to swell with happiness. "Wait, how about you be the cheating husband." The girl changed the signs for a new one. "You are cheating on me, the lonesome wife, with Az, the traitorous neighbor girl."

Az didn't seem to need much more persuasion before pointing a clawed finger in Clara's face. "Hurry up and leave him, bitch." He seemed very passionate about the whole thing. The human widened her eyes when Clara pulled an ax from her logic defying pockets. She knew even from the look on Azmodeus's face that wasn't normal.

"Clara, let's not bring real weapons into play." She called out to the girl who looked at her but nodded nonetheless. She was eager to please someone who was playing with her so much.
The day passed much like that, however Clara never seemed to lose steam. Even when the other two teens were laying on the ground panting.

"Are you okay?" The green teen popped her head beside them. "Here, I have some juices."The girl pulled once again from her pockets and gave them each a snack to rest with.

"How deep are your pockets?" Izumi couldn't help but ask.

The girl giggled happily. "My pockets aren't deep, silly. It is my bloodline's special skill. I can pull out anything I've seen before!"

Before the human or demon could comment, a loud voice shouted across the grounds. "Oh Clarin!" Each of them looked to see a group of three demons, the lead demon wasn't terrifying as he hailed the girl over to them. "Did you get yourself some new owners?"

A frown graced the girl's face as she watched the encounter. Owners?

"Yeah," Clara cheered, still very much eager to share her day.

"Whatever, give us three juices." The girl did not hesitate to hand over the drinks. "Thanks, see you laters." The boy had clearly just wanted the free juice.

"That was Yochin." Clara explained as she saw the blank look on their faces. "If I give him something, he'll play with me sometime in return!"

"Clara…" The girl said sadly.

"But!" Clara cut her off nervously. "You guys are the first to play with me so much. So…won't…Won't you play with me again?"

"Uh, Sure." Izumi gave the girl a little smile. Az, who was ready to protest, couldn't as he saw that soft smile. The pink haired teen found that he wanted that smile directed at him. He found that if the boy would just direct his smile, he would do anything for him.

That revelation was startling. The thought consumed his mind even as they played through the day.

"Izumi~" A familiar voice called to her and she turned to see her grandfather striding across the ground to meet with her while Opera was at a more sedate pace just behind him. "Its time to go home did you miss grandpa?"

"Like the plague." She said but the grin on her face let them know that she was joking.

"I guess, I'll see you later Clara. As." She waved to the two.

"Wait before you go." The other girl cried, looking desperate. She began pulling things out of her pockets. Drinks candies and little toys all thrusted at the girl. "You said you would play with me tomorrow." She reminded.

Valac flounced away after giving the same treatment to Asmodeus but the whole night the actions of the girl did not set right with her. She had stayed awake that night and she knew what she had to do.

That day she waited for Clara on the bench they had previously occupied the day before. They would need to talk about going forward. She had heard that for humans, honest and open communication was the only way to continue living alongside one another. She heard the girl before seeing her and was ready for the girl when she threw herself at the bluette.

"Good morning Clara." She greeted. "I wanna talk to you about something."

"Wait. Here. Take this. It's my favorite snack and my favorite juice and book. I'll also give you my stuffed toys. You can have it all. I'll give you anything you want." The girl was becoming more desperate as Izumi's face did not change. "Please, you promised." The words were weak and tears were already starting to stream down her face.

"Clara." Izumi tried to speak again, but it was too much for the girl.

"This always happens!" The girl wailed. "No one ever wants to play with me. You don't want my things. That means you don't want to play. I know I'm hard to put up with. That's why if I give you things, you'll play with me. It's my nuisance fee."

"CLARA!" Izumi snapped, cutting the girl into silence. "I never said I wouldn't play with you."

"What?"

"You aren't a nuisance and I don't need you to bribe me. It's not bad to give, but I don't want it if you think of it as payment." The human patted the girl's cheek only for a bright light to consume them.

Again? The girl thought as the light died down.

"I guess you can't get rid of me that easily." Izumi gave a little little smile. The green haired girl cried at not only having one of her pack mates but also a playmate that wasn't throwing her away. She held the girl to her chest as Clara cried her heart out. It was the least she could do.

"Hey," Izumi raised her hand, flagging down the group of three. She had, after calming down the green haired girl, convinced the girl to set up for the next game while the human went to take care of something. The blonde haired boy who had been harassing the girl. "You're Yochin right?"

The boy nodded. "Yeah, what's it to ya?"

"Well I need a word with you." The girl gave a smile that didn't come across as kind in the least.

"Too bad, we've got nothing to say to you." The boy turned only for an arm to be thrown over his shoulder.

"Don't be like that. You've been harassing my packmate for her abilities and you think you can just walk away from that?" The boy shivered as the voice turned colder with each word. "I don't get angry often. But Clara's my pack now, so IF I find that you have so much as looked in her direction again. I will be back." She patted the boy's cheek, making a loud slapping sound. "Do we have an understanding?" She grinned.

"Yes, ma'am." The boy bit out, fear evident on his face. This was the student who had taken down Asmodeus and he was scarier right beside the blond's face.

"Good."

"Master!" Asmodeus cried as Izumi came within view. He had arrived at school to find the female nowhere in sight and Clara cheerfully setting up some game. "Where were you?"

"I had some things to take care of." She smiled at him softly. "So we are playing with Clara today."

"Do we have to?" The boy whined.

"Yes!" Clara cheered, interrupting the conversation. "My mate said she would play with me."

"Mate? She? Who is this person?" Az had a dreadful feeling in the pit of his stomach. "My Master is a boy Idiot."

"Huh, Azz-Azz is wrong. Izumi-chi is a girl." The green haired demon got a mischievous look on her face. "Uh-oh, Azz-Azz has been calling Izumi-chi a boy. What a bad demon."

"Don't you have eyes. He is clearly wearing a boy's uniform!" The teen did not like being told he was wrong. "Master?" He tried to get back up from the source. She simply looked away not wanting to hurt the boy's feelings. "Master?"

She would not meet the boy's eyes. "Well…"

"Master, you are a boy, correct?"

"I…um…No." She drew the word out as if that would make the blow softer. She truly had no problem with being referred to as a boy but she was not going to lie.

Az took a step back stunned by the revelation. He had been calling his mast…His mistress a boy. How dare he?! "My ma…Mistress you should have told me." The boy was at a loss for words.

"Azz-Azz, when you insult a woman you have to get on your knees and beg for forgiveness." Clara grabbed the boy's face as another bright light flashed at the contact. The pinkette was devastated for a second. "Yay, Two is now Three."

"Three?" Pink orbs meet blue and a look of glee stretched across the boy's face. "Master, are we mates?" He was vibrating with excitement, a hand reaching out but stopping before he could touch her skin.

"I guess," She mumbled as she extended her hand to the overwhelmed teen. With a swiftness, he lunged at her hand, a glow engulfing them as they came in contact. The three were content for just a little while to bask in the thought that they were pack. That was until Clara pulled out the paint.
