Calamity: 100 Years Later: Chapter 15: To Death Mountain
Link had just returned from Korok Forest with Spirit Orbs and had made it back to Kakariko Village. Link went to the statue in exchange for more Heart Containers and Stamina.
Link walked into Impa's house and approached Impa.
"Hello Link. I see you've returned with the Master Sword.", said Impa.
"Yes Impa, and I just gained another memory. It was Zelda putting the Master Sword in the spot in Korok Forest.", said Link.
"Good for you Link! Now that you've freed 2 of the Divine Beasts and have most of your map figured out so far, there are only two more Divine Beasts to free next. These Divine Beasts are Divine Beast Vah Rudania and Divine Beast Vah Naboris. Rudania is located on Death Mountain near Goron City. You will most likely find it by traveling north of here. I wish you good luck on your journey.", said Impa.
"Thanks Impa!", said Link.
"You're welcome, Link!", said Impa. Link walked out of Impa's house and to the spot in the village where he found the shrines that led him to Zora's Domain.
Link began walking north to Death Mountain. Link found a tower and added it to his map. Link also found a shrine and completed the trial. Link then found another location that jogged his memory.
"That cut doesn't look too bad actually. You're fine for now... but you know, there's a fine line between courage and recklessness... As brave as you are, that does not make you immortal. I fear that this is an omen which portends the return of Calamity Ganon. And if that's the case, I'm ready to expect the worst. We'll need to make preparations as soon as possible.", said Zelda.
Link now remembered another moment from the past. It was the day he fought Bokoblins and Lynels at Eldin Canyon and he was wounded in battle.
Link then started walking up to Death Mountain, finding a Goron City salesman walking down the path he was on.
"Hello there stranger, I'm one of the finest salesmen of the Goron tribe! I sell all sorts of things such as elixirs, food, and other things of that nature. Would you like to buy something?", asked the salesman.
"I guess I might buy some elixirs. I'm headed up to Death Mountain.", said Link.
"You're heading to Death Mountain? You may want to buy some Fireproof Elixirs to keep you from burning to death.", said the salesman.
"Okay.", said Link. Link got some Rupees out of his pocket and handed them to the salesman as the salesman gave him the Fireproof Elixirs.
"Thanks for the purchase stranger! Is there anything else you would like to buy?", asked tthe salesman.
"Nope. The elixirs are all I need.", said Link.
"Well, good luck on your way stranger!", said the salesman.
Link then continued on his way to Death Mountain. Link drank a Fireproof Elixir to keep him from burning to death. As he was on his way, he fought fireball Octoroks and a Magma Talus. Link defeated the Octoroks and the Magma Talus using ice arrows.
Link then made it to the gates of Goron City. Link approached the guard standing outside the gate.
"Hello there traveler! What brings you here?", asked the guard.
"I'm Link, the lost hero of Hyrule. I came to free the Divine Beast Vah Rudania from Ganon's Malice.", said Link.
"Is that right? Well, head on over to the store to buy some Flamebreaker armor to keep you from burning to death seeing as you are a Hylian.", said the guard.
"Thanks for the tip!", said Link.
"You're welcome traveler!", said the guard.
Link walked into the store and bought the Flamebreaker Armor, Flamebreaker Trousers and the Flamebreaker Helm. Link put on the Flamebreaker Armor, Trousers and Helm to keep himself from burning.
Link noticed an elder Goron citizen standing outside and approached him.
"Drat! That blasted Rudania!", said the Goron, whose name was Bludo.
"What's wrong?", asked Link.
"What with the Divine Beast Rudania roaming the volcano and being taken over by Ganon years ago dropping fire and lava and ash all over Goron City, it's been a hard time living here up in Death Mountain!", said Bludo.
Bludo pointed up to the top of Death Mountain in the distance. "You see the Divine Beast stomping around the mountain? They say that 100 years ago it was supposed to protect us from Calamity Ganon, but it got taken over and has been causing us Gorons trouble for 100 years now! We've tried using the cannons to fire at the Divine Beast but we Gorons keep failing each time!", said Bludo. "By the way, who are you?", asked Bludo.
"I'm a traveler. My name is Link.", said Link.
"Link, huh? That name sounds familiar. Anyways, so, you must've come here to pay your respects to me. I like you already, brother! I'm the great Goron boss, Bludo! I'm so fearsome enough to silence a crying child, or make a silent child cry in that way. I was plannin' to drive off Rudania like I always do, but this blasted pain in my back came outta nowhere. That blasted Yunobo, when will he return?", said Bludo.
"Who is Yunobo?", asked Link.
"Yunobo is a Goron who helps me drive off Rudania. He went to get me some painkillers for my back from the Abandoned North Mine, but he hasn't come back yet. If you see him, get the painkillers for me.", said Bludo.
Link then began to go in the direction of the Abandoned North Mine. Link found two shrines along the way and completed them.
