Author's Notes: Ah, GOD! I'm beginning to regret what I said last chapter. I hope you will all forgive me. *bows* I've got review responses, but as there were only, erm...two reviews...well yeah.

Review Responses:

StoryWeaver1:Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, I really tried to make Jim act like I think he would in the anime series. I'm glad you think I did a good job. I hope you aren't angry at me for blowing up!

The Ronin: AHHH! GOSH! What am I supposed to say to that!? You aren't the one who made me go crazy, Ronin! It was a bunch up people sending me all these emails about how if I didn't make the story chapters longer, they wouldn't read Prince Charming anymore! I'd been getting them ever since chapter five, and it was just really starting to bug me! I'm sorry! *sighs* Yeah, and gomen nesai about acting like a big baby, too. Onegai, forgive me. (Also. About your story. I'm only on Chapter Twelve because I haven't had much time for Fanfiction.net lately. But I'm not really all that offended by any lemon. My philosophy is this: Sex is a show of love between two people. I'm not going to worry about it. Thanks for the warning though! I really appreciate that you thought to warn me! Arigato!)

-----------------

I hope that that clears up a few things, Ronin. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the chapter! (Oh wait, just a few notes. The story is almost over! I'd say six more chapters at the most and I'll be finished! Just thought I'd inform you all now! Anyway, one with the show!)

(In the last chapter...)

"You DO love Mel, don't you?"

Gene shook his head and then nodded and then shrugged.

"I dunno! How am I supposed to answer a question like that, Jim?"

Jim sighed and punched him in the arm. "Think about it for a sec, Gene. How do you feel around Mel? What do you think every time you look at her? Think about these things and then say what you feel."

So Gene thought.

Whenever he was with Melfina, he felt at peace – as though there wasn't anything in the world that could get to him. When he looked at her...oh gods, when he looked at her...

"I..."

Jim leaned forward, marveling at his friend's calm face and smiling eyes.

"I...I love Melfina, Jim."

Prince Charming: Chapter 10

----------------------

Suzuka's eyes narrowed as she glanced down at the building below her. Could Melfina really be here?

She sighed. When she'd told Gene that she'd bring Melfina back, it'd only been something to calm him down. She wasn't actually sure she'd be able to find her.

Suzuka blinked as she remembered the conversation that had taken place between she and Gene before she had left...

''''''

"What the HELL is going ON!!! MELFINA!!! Where did she go!!??" Gene yelled, jumping from the chair and turning towards the door.

"Gene," she said, reaching out to calm him down.

"Suzuka! Where did Melfina go!?"

Suzuka's eyes narrowed. She thought quickly. She would have to lie. It was the only possible way to draw Gene out of his rage. Her hand clenched around her sword. She didn't like lying to her friends and she disapproved of dishonesty, but...

"Gene," she began again, stepping forward. "I know where Melfina is."

Gene started to say something, but Suzuka stopped him. "But if you come as you are now, boiling with anger, there's no possible way for us to recover her." She blinked a few times, thoughts transforming into words instantly. "You stay here and calm down. I'll go get Melfina back."

While his face was still angry, Suzuka could tell she had left an impact.

There was a few moments of silence, and then –

"Fine, Suzuka. But if you don't come back with Melfina close behind I'll leave faster than you can say 'bye.'"

'''''' In the present, Suzuka sighed once more.

Maybe it hadn't been the best idea to create such a lie as the one she'd told.

She shook her head and jumped from the side of the roof.

The wind flew around her face, blowing her dark hair upwards.

She'd just have to find her, wouldn't she?

---

Melfina shivered slightly in the cold night air. Retsuna had been right when she'd said that the temperature has sunk a fair bit in the past ten hours or so. She clutched the two ends of the thin scarf covering her shoulders with her chin and squeezed Retsuna's protective and guiding hand with her own.

"Retsuna... I'm a little scared."

The older woman glanced back at her and smiled reassuringly.

"Don't worry, dear. It'll be alright. I promise."

Despite Retsuna's kind words and comforting warmth, Melfina's lips trembled.

---

Suzuka looked up at the tall, silver building. 'MIRAGE' was written on a huge sign at the top of the third or maybe fourth floor.

She was here.

---

The room was small and cold, colder even than the air outside. There weren't any windows, and the floor was bare concrete. It was a perfectly square room with no lights and only a small chair in the left corner.

In the chair sat a man, but no one ever noticed him.

---

"Excuse me. Mihiro."

The tall, brown-haired man looked up from the desk he was sitting at with a surprised look on his face.

"Suzuka," he answered, his face once again melting into a bright smile. "What brings you down to this part of town?" he asked, leaning back in his chair.

She sat down silently on the couch beside him and settled the wooden sword beside her.

"I think that you will soon be having visitors."

His eyebrow rose.

"Oh really? Why?"

Her eyes narrowed.

"Are you still dealing in bio-android technology?"

---

"Are you feeling better, Melfina?" Retsuna asked, referring to the pain in her torso and heart.

Mel nodded, and they walked on.

Melfina would never tell her, but as they continued on their way, her chest was hurting more than ever.

----

And so, we reach a cliffhanger. D Sorry. Really.

Anyway, in the next chapter a lot of crap will be explained and everyone will probably be feeling a hell of a lot better.
