I promised you two updates and here is the second one. I love you all! Enjoy and stay safe and blessed!
Mercedes smiled as she watched Zola and her and her friends search for a red and green leaf. They had been doing a scavenger hunt before they headed inside to eat. She felt her phone vibrate as she took a photo.
"Have you guys arrived?" She asked Sebatasitan as Sam showed the girls the difference between the leaves.
"We just did. Blaine and Josh are checking in. This is really crazy, isn't it?"
"What is?" She asked.
"Well, you are there with Sam and Zo on a trip, and I am here with B and Josh. It seems like we are both finally getting what we want."
Mercedes sighed. "I am just happy for this time. Zo is so happy…."
"And you?"
Mercedes looked up to see Sam staring at her. He winked, and she chewed her bottom lip wanting to stop the blush from covering her face. "I am getting there."
"Getting there? Baby, you are already there."
Mercedes laughed. "Maybe. Kiss Josh for me and have fun."
"I will; bye, Merce."
"Bye, Bas."
"That man is sexy as hell. Tall, brooding, and great with kids. And I heard he was single."
Mercedes turned to see Harmony, one of the parents. "Oh yeah, I guess."
"Look, I would like to know if you and Zola might switch groups so I can get to know Mr. Evans better.
Mercedes shook her head. "Yeah, I can't do that."
"Mercedes, come on! You already got your man, and John and I have been divorced for months. I need a rebound, and Sam is gonna be it."
"Harmony, even if I wanted to do it, which I don't. Zo is having a great time with her friends; I am not taking her away from that just so you can get rejected."
"Rejected? Ha, no man rejects this." She said, pointing to her body. "Fine! Don't help but best believe by the end of the night, Mr. Evans will be with me."
Mercedes smiled. "You do you, Harmony, but trust me, Sam Evans is not interested in you. Not ever."
"Is that jealousy I hear? Oh, sweetie, you didn't really think you had a chance with him, did you? Well, all know he only sat with you because of that stupid drawing. He and I have been flirting since he started teaching; I could see how disappointed he was that we weren't paired together."
Mercedes made a mental note to keep Zola far away from Harmony's crazy ass. "Harmony, like I said, you do you, but I will not be switching groups. Buh, bye now."
Mercedes put her phone away and walked over to the group, smiling when Sam bumped her gently.
"You okay?"
She nodded. "Yeah, just dealing with your fan club. Harmony wants me and Zo to switch groups."
Sam laughed. "Yeah, no. The new rule, you have to stay by my side. Always."
"Always? and what happens if I move away from you?" She teased.
"I'd find you and make you remember that you are mine." He growled.
As if on cue to destroy the moment, Harmony moved over to Sam and in between him and Mercedes.
"Mr. Evans, I was talking to Mrs. Smythe, and we were thinking it could be fun to switch up the groups!"
"No, we weren't." Mercedes laughed.
"Excuse her, she's so rude; I just think we would mesh better, Mr. Evans." Harmony said, running her hand up his chest.
"Ms. Pearce, let me be very clear with you, the groups are final; there is no changing them. And even if there were, I wouldn't switch groups. And please do not touch me. My girlfriend wouldn't appreciate it. You should go back to your group now."
Mercedes tried to hide her smile as Harmony stomped away.
"So you have a girlfriend? Tell me about her?"
Sam smiled. "She's beautiful, smart, loving, gives good head."
Mercedes snorted. "She sounds great."
"Mommy, Mr. Evans, look!" Zola ran to them, showing Mercedes a colorful rock she had found. "Can I keep it, mommy? I wanna show Josh, Daddy, and Blaine."
"I think it's perfect." Mercedes beamed. "Now, who is hungry?! It's our turn to grab lunch!"
Mercedes couldn't deny that she was actually enjoying the trip with Zola and Sam, it may have been camping, but it was a good time. The kids were engaged and happy, and Sam was in his element, as were all the teachers. They had just gotten the kids to bed after smores and campfire songs. As she moved to her own bed, she stopped feeling a piece of paper inside her pillowcase.
Meet me in the woods at 10pm. I will be waiting at the base tree for Hide and Seek this afternoon.
Sam
Mercedes checked her phone and smiled; she had just enough time to take a quick shower. After checking on the girls again and taking a shower, she let Libby, the other mom in the cabin she shared, know she was going to call Sebastian and didn't want to disturb the girls.
Slipping out of the room, Mercedes made her way to the tree, smiling as she saw Sam leaning against it. He pulled her to him, not even bothering to say hello, as his lips crashed onto hers.
Pushing her against the tree, Sam moved between her thighs, moving his hands under her shirt, squeezing her breast as he moved to her neck.
"Sam.." She hissed breathlessly.
"I have wanted to do this to you all day; I need you…can I have you, Mercy, please?"
Mercedes smiled, lifting his face to hers. "You can have me anytime you want, Sam." She kissed him as he worked to remove her of her pants,
"Be careful, Darlin, those are dangerous words to a man like me," Sam said, wrapping her thighs around his waist and thrusting deep inside of her, bottoming out with a groan.
"Sam!" She moaned as he moved faster.
"Shhhh, we don't want anyone to hear us."
"Then you shouldn't be making me feel this good." she whimpered.
Sam leaned in and kissed her deeply. "Then I am just going to have to occupy your mouth," he whispered against her lips.
Muffled screams left her lips as Sam moved faster and harder, pushing them both over the edge. Holding her close, he groaned, kissing her neck. "I gotta admit, I love being inside of you."
Mercedes giggled. "I can tell you still haven't put me down."
"That's because I am thinking of going for another round."
"Boy, put me down!" She laughed, reaching down to grab her pants as he pulled his back up.
"Does me wanting you bother you?"
She frowned. "I think it's safe to say I want you just as much, Sam."
"I guess I am just wondering if you want me or if you want me."
"What's the difference in wants?"
Sam smiled. "Well, if you want me, then you want my body. If you want me, then you want all of me."
Mercedes moved closer to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. "If I haven't made myself clear to you, Sam. I want you. Yes, I love your body, but I also want the man who goes along with it."
"Really? I mean, if not, I understand; it's a good body."
Mercedes snorted. "Yes, it is, but it's also a great everything else." She said, standing on her tippy toes and kissing him.
Sam kissed her back and smiled. "Go away with me next weekend?"
"What?"
"Go away with me. I want to be able to take you out, to really get to know you without having to hide. If we are going to do this, we need to get away and see if there is more than just sex."
Mercedes chewed her bottom lip, thinking over his request. "Are you serious?"
"I am, I know your situation, but I also know that I don't want to walk away…so will you go away with me?"
She smiled in the darkness, nodding. "Yes. I will talk to Bas. I am sure he won't mind. Yes. of course."
Sam pulled her closer, hugging her close as he kissed her again. "We better get back before someone misses us."
Mercedes chewed her bottom lip as she waited for Sebastian and Josh to get home. She was in the playroom with Santana and the girls, and they were all doing their nails there. After they arrived back at the school, Santana picked them up, and Sam promised to stop by later.
As the car pulled up, she walked to the door opening it as Josh ran up with his trophy.
"We won!" he said, dancing inside.
"Congrats, baby! I am so proud of you!"
"Thanks, mom, it was amazing. Dad was only slightly less embarrassing than you."
"Not my fault. I was proud of my boy!" Sebastian said, coming in after him. "Hey, Mercy, you girls have a good trip?" He leaned in and kissed her cheek.
"We did. It was fun; some of said girls are in the playroom with Santana."
"Well, since the house is crawling with little girls, can I go to Andy's house? Dad said I could if you say yes."
Mercedes smiled. "Tomorrow is a teacher work day, so I don't mind, but you need to make sure you are back before dinner tomorrow and thank Mr. and Mrs. Hill."
"I will. Love ya, mom." Josh kissed her cheek and ran up to his room. Sebastian smiled. "I will run him over before I go to Blaine's."
"Speaking of B. Can I talk to you…in your office since it's closer."
He nodded, leading her to the office across the hall. Sitting in his chair, he leaned back. "I can probably guess what this is about."
"I am sure you can, but I am going to tell you anyway, things with Sam might be getting deeper." She said.
"Deeper, how?"
"Deeper, as in he asked me to go away with him this weekend."
Sebastian nodded. "And what did you say?"
"Well, I told him I would have to talk to you first, and if everything was okay, I would love to." She smiled softly, thinking of Sam. "I really like him."
"I can tell he seems genuine, and of course, I am okay with it. As understanding and accommodating as you have been with Blaine and me, how can I not be the same with you and Sam? I just want you happy, Merce; that's all I ever wanted."
She moved to sit on his lap and hugged him. "It's all I ever wanted for you too. You are my absolute best friend, Bas. And I know we are in this situation, but I wouldn't want to be on this journey with anyone else."
Sebastian held her. "Ditto. You know I say this a lot, but I lucked out, I know it's all complicated, but guys at work still can't believe I married you. I guess I pull off hetro really well."
Mercedes laughed. "If anything, they think you are Bi."
"Hey!" He said as he tickled her.
Giggling, she moved from his desk. "What? We had sex a few times, dude, and you weren't horrible."
"Look, it was…as enjoyable as Hetro sex could be with a gay man and straight woman, but you just don't do it for me, babe." He teased.
"Ditto." She smiled, moving to hug him. "Thank you, Bas, for pushing me to do this. It's scary, but it's worth it…right?"
He nodded. "It is, and for us, them and the kids."
"I sure hope you are right; the last thing I want is to screw this up somehow."
Sebastian nodded. "I know. But we do the best with what we got, and we are doing that. Just try to enjoy yourself when you and Sam go away, don't be Mrs. Smythe, just be Ms. Mercedes Jones having a great time with her boyfriend."
She smiled with a nod. "I'll try. I am going to go to the mall with Quinn and Santana; I need to find a few things to wear; you know, most of my stuff is work attire."
Sebastian laughed. "Trust me, I know. You could stand to get some sexy things."
"Shut up!" She laughed, shoving him playfully.
Mercedes stood in the dressing room, looking at herself as she twirled around in the mirror. She, Quinn, and Santana decided to do some retail therapy before her weekend getaway, she still wasn't sure exactly how to feel about it, but she was trying to focus on the exciting part.
Never in her life did she think she would want someone as much as she wanted Sam. He came out of nowhere and smacked her in the face, and now she was smitten over a man who took her breath away. This was a hurt step; trusting Sam enough to go away with him, that was a big deal.
"Try this dress, Merce!" Quinn said, holding up a sequin gold dress.
Santana shook her head. "No, red is definitely her color; try this one on."
Mercedes was taken out of her thoughts of Sam by her friends and sighed as she continued to look at herself. "I don't even know what I am supposed to wear on a weekend away. Bas and I don't do that stuff, and I haven't had a guy do this for me."
"Did Sam say where you were headed?" Quinn asked, handing her the gold dress as Santana gave her the red one.
"He said it was a surprise, but he was taking me somewhere he could show me off." She sighed. "I am nervous, like really nervous."
"Why? You've already given him the booty? What is there to be nervous about?" Santana teased.
"Having sex with someone is one thing, but dating them… that's a whole other thing. I haven't had a date since…."
"Anthony." The three women said at the same time.
Mercedes stepped out of the dressing room wearing a lavender silk above-the-knee dress that clung to her curves. Quinn and Santana catcalled her.
"That looks beautiful."
"Doesn't matter what Trouty has planned for you two; you are gonna have fun, and he won't know what hit him," Santana added.
Mercedes walked back in and changed back into her clothes. "The truth is I haven't had a night away with a man ever, not even Bas; there have only been two guys, and neither I wanted to see again."
"Is that why you didn't tell us why you didn't want to see Shane again?" Quinn asked.
Mercedes sighed. "Shane had no issue with me being married. He took issue with me working. We met three times, had sex once, and he wanted to control me."
"Yeah, red flag alert. What about that Biff dude?" Santana asked.
"Wanted to be a kept man, told me I had to pay to keep riding that train, so I got off. He wasn't worth it."
Quinn frowned. "Is that why you stopped accepting dates?"
Grabbing her things, Mercedes went to check out. "Why would I keep dating when it all was going to end the same way. At least, that's what I thought. I felt like I was being punished, but after meeting Sam, I realized I was punishing myself. And maybe punishing Bas too…I really want this weekend to go well. Bas and Blaine will have the kids, and I told Jesse not to bother me at all this weekend unless there was an emergency."
"Merce does this mean you are finally gonna stop with the negativity; Sam isn't any of the other losers you were with, he knows the situation, and he likes you anyways."
Mercedes turned towards them. "I am trying, but I keep wondering how long he will be okay with this? Bas and I said we would divorce back then, but we haven't really done anything about it."
"Because for the longest time, you were content with the way things were; I think Sebastian was too. But now that you and he are moving on, maybe it's time to revisit the talk. I mean, if you can see a future with Sam." Quinn said softly.
"I think Sebastian and I should talk even if Sam and I don't work. Because I think I finally see that we both deserve a chance to be happy even if I end up alone."
Quinn moved to hug her. "I think maybe now that you have a clear picture. Sebastian might too. I mean, he and Blaine are getting pretty close, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to end it sooner rather than later."
"My biggest fears out of all of this are the kids. I don't want to do anything that will hurt or confuse them, and while we tried to be as honest as we can, there is no fixing your parents breaking apart. No fixing your house splitting up."
Santana moved to her. "You have raised two very amazing and independent kids; they are going to handle your break up better than other children because they weren't lied to. You sat them down and told them everything you could."
Mercedes hugged them both. "I would be lost without you two."
"We know!" Santana and Quinn said in unison.
"Now, we need to get you some lingerie because I don't care how often you and Sam had sex; there is nothing sexier than showing your body off in something sexy," Santana said.
"You just wanna see Merce in lingerie. She pulled the same thing on me a few weeks back." Quinn teased.
"You know what, Quinn, Brittany didn't spoil it for you, so don't do that to Merce! Now let's go try on sexy clothes."
