In the first room I floated us over the quicksand to the rolling gate, that we shrunk down to pass through. On the other side we used the Magical Key to unlock the door to a dark room, where I had to use the lantern to light the torches to remove the bars from the door, while avoiding the small army of skeletons.

In the next room we found a large room with four blue flames, before four poe lanterns came and stole the flames, sealing the door they came through, and circled around us before all but one disappeared, into other parts of the area. We switched to animal form where we discovered this poe was far larger then others, wearing a robe, and had the ability to phase through attacks unless it was glowing blue before attacking us.

"This must be an elite poe," Saria noted as we dealt the final blow and watched its lantern be destroyed as the blue flame returned to where it was before, and the poe disappeared leaving only the robes it was wearing. "And I'm guessing we need to gather its scent to track the other three."

"Probably," I sighed.

"Well, there are three left," Linkette said, "do we each take one?"

That got agreement, so we each got the scent, and followed it. Mine took me to a sand pit as I started digging as the other two left the room, though we did get the dungeon map from the chest in the room first. Under the sand I found a chain switch that when I pulled it revealed a staircase leading to a round room with a pillar that could be turned by a lever to open the way forward. Unfortunately it also revealed a Redead in an alcove. I didn't want to get close so I just summoned my cannon to destroy it. I then floated up to the exit in the ceiling. Where I found a single door, that when I went through was a large chamber with my poe. After killing it I backtracked to the central chamber and waited for the other two. Linkette arrived first, followed by Saria as the final flame returned and opened the way forward.

In the next room we found a strange indentation in the ground, before heading through the door on the right finding a pillar that inflated us down, before we moved the lever so it went to the bottom and went through the door, leading to a spike trap maze with ghost rats, and a redead. After getting past that we went along a path with blade traps on the wall, and Ooccoo at the end in a pot before the door.

In the next room was a giant spinning trap, leading to a path sealed with a gate, and an open one. We took the open one first and after destroying the Stalfo's we floated up to the door higher up, noticing that the gated path also leads here. After going through and having the door close and seal behind us we found a giant sword tied to ropes with seals. Unfortunately a ghost rat had followed us, and decided to chew through the rope releasing a creature we had to fight. First it was invisible leading us to take animal form and wait for it to attack before we could attack. Like with the Poes from earlier. Afterwards it became visible and flew around until we hit it with bomb arrows, then it flew around faster before attacking which we had to dodge then retaliate. Then repeating with the bomb arrow until it was destroyed. This opened the path, and after destroying the ghost rat we found the chest where we found the Ancient Spinner which let us move over the railings on the wall. Of course with our levitation it wasn't that nessecary, but for others it would have been.

We returned to the previous room and took the last door. There we found a long path needing the spinner, or we could, and did just float up to the door at the end by the ceiling. On the other side was the big key, which the magical key made obsolete. And the room with the indentation in the floor. Which we noticed fit the spinner, and upon using opened the way to a tall chamber that had the boss room at the end.

Inside we found it was dark, and had a dead fossil inside. As we approached though… Zant appeared on the skull.

"You three still live… how astonishing… no wonder some call you three heroes. But this is truly a bittersweet reunion… truly! For I fear this is the last time I will see you alive!" Zant said before summoning a giant sword and stabbing it in the skull, sending red energy through the fossil. "Now if you will excuse me… I have another appointment."

With that he vanished, as the fossil returned to life an attacked as the sand turned into quicksand. This was Twilit Fossil Stallord. Luckily it was rather easy. Saria distracted it, while dodging its flame breath, I floated over the quicksand to deal with the stalsoldiers it summoned as defense , while Linkette rode the spinner to attack its spine from behind. After three hits it was destroyed leaving only the Skull as the quicksand started slowly disappearing.

"This could take a while," I noted while we waited.

-Meanwhile-

I was walking around Kakariko Village, wearing a hood so I would not be recognized, as my fairy Kone flew around me.

"It will be soon," I said remembering that when Linkette, Saria, and Luna returned from the Arbiters grounds Kakariko had been destroyed. I hoped to stop it, or at least save the people. The problem is… I did not know how it happened, I did see Colin, heading to the field outside the city on a request from Renado. To help heal Ralis… but I hope it will be enough. Looking at the gates i saw Hanch and Sera arrive. Renado having sent for someone from Ordon to come pick up Talon who was still trying to turn the others against Luna, and he decided it would be better if he gets picked up before bad things happen. Hanch and Sera were the only ones free, and wanted to take the time to see their daughter Beth as well. They were some of the ones I wanted to save. Suddenly my head snapped up to the sky, as Zant appeared.

"This will hurt those heroes when they find out," Zant said as he released a small army of Shadow Beasts, while pinning Eldin to the ground so he could not fight back. Though luckily he did not steal his light. He wanted the spirit to watch as he failed to protect Kakariko.

I instantly lept into battle as I used my mix of Forest, Shrinking, and Twilight magic to destroy the shadow beasts. Luckily there were so many I did not have to worry about them resurrecting the others. Unluckily there was so many I couldn't save everyone. I would destroy some, only to come across them later dead or transforming into shadow beasts themselves. I knew Malo had saved Ilia by leading her to the cellar and leading the shadow beasts away, acting like he tried to get there but couldn't reach in time. I tried to find him, but was too slow, when I found him he was in the midst of transforming. I kept trying, eventually seeing a Shadow Beast still wearing Talon's clothes, though they were falling off. I had to use a shadow shield to stop him from attacking Beth and Luda. After I got in front of them I prepared to fight when everyone stopped as a voice rung through our heads.

"Enough!" Eldin said, managing to get free due to Zant thinking the battle was over. "I may have failed to save Kakariko, but I can stop you from spreading from here."

With that I felt a massive build up of power as my eyes widened when I realized Eldin did not know some were safe. While Colin was outside the city, and Ilia would survive what was coming in the cellar. Beth and Luda would be destroyed. I turned around and grabbed them before warping the three of us and Kone to safety, as with a flash Kakariko was destroyed.

-Meanwhile-

When the quicksand finally stopped there was another spinner indentation. When we finished it raised a pillar up to the top of the room, where the sand used to be, when we turned around and spread out when we saw the Skull was still alive for round two. Me and Saria managed to get out of the way, and Linkette dodged the skull trying to ram her, only for us to pale as it turned around and shot her with a blast of fire. When it disappeared she was gone.

"NO!" we yelled as both of our magic surged out, and despite being in the middle of the desert massive vines burst out and crushed the skull into fragments, that my power finished obliterating.

"Figures she would fail," Navi sighed, but we were too depressed to care as we went to where she had died, only for our eyes to widen as the shadow she had been standing in started rising as she came out of it.

"Linkette!" me, Saria, Ember, and Midna yelled as we hugged her.

"What happened?" she asked, "the last I remember was the ball of fire coming at me."

Midna was the one with the answer.

"Faron did say you had Twili blood," she said, "you instinctively used Twili magic to hide in the shadows to survive. I can teach you other uses later."

"I'm glad," Saria said as we nodded.

With that we gathered ourselves and entered the mirror chamber.
