When You arrive inside the palace, You follow Aisa's lead and wind through the castle's hallways toward your destination of the throne room. The palace is oddly spotless, almost as if barely anyone has even set foot inside since Argades' death.

Seraphine: It's unsettling, isn't it? I would have thought that Samiya would want to break the place in as her own, but as long as we were coming for her, I guess she realized she didn't have that option.

You nod but decide to press on regardless. You eventually arrive outside the imposing doors leading to the throne room, and You turn to Aisa, Roy, and Cordelia with a frown on your face.

Cordelia: She's going to be on the other side of these doors… Is everyone ready for the fight to come?

Roy: This is what we've been waiting for all this time. I don't think I've ever been more ready and more terrified of something simultaneously.

Aisa: This fight will not be easily won, but after everything we have done, we must give it our all until Samiya falls.

Cordelia: Then let's get in there and show her what we're made of once and for all. Never again will she bring such pain to the land of Fódlan!

You and the other members of the church push forward, and the doors open before You. Inside, You see Samiya on the other end of the throne room sitting on the throne. She wears a twisted smile, and she stands at the sight of You and your allies.

Samiya: I see that you have finally arrived… Good. I have been looking forward to this battle for quite some time.

Roy: You shouldn't have gotten too excited about it. We're not going to let you win this war after everything you've done.

Samiya: You will not need to 'let' me win anything. I am not afraid to seize victory as ruthlessly as I must, and soon enough, you will understand as much.

Cordelia: If you won't surrender, then your fate is already sealed. We won't hold back, and I know you won't either.

Samiya: You do not understand what you are doing. You are dooming Fódlan by continuing to side with someone who has brought this land to ruin.

Roy: And you believe that you would be able to save it from us? You think that you would be able to change this continent for the better?

Samiya: I know more of what is best for this land than you ever could. You refuse to see it since you have so much belief in your twisted sense of righteousness. What this continent needs is someone who understands it, and I have always comprehended Fódlan more than you ever could.

Cordelia: If this is the choice you wish to make, then so be it. I hope you're ready for the fight of your life, because this is going to be the last day you draw breath!

Aisa: I am sorry that it had to end this way, Samiya… But know that I will do everything I must to bring this to an end here and now.

Samiya: I invite you to try. You could not defeat my side of the war a thousand years ago, and you will not be able to defeat me today either. Make peace with death, Atropos… I think it is high time you finally met the goddess to pay for your sins!

You and the rest of your forces sink into combative positions in preparation for the battle ahead. Samiya and her forces are scattered throughout the throne room with the leader of the enemy army sitting on the throne herself. Everything about her expression is dark, and You can tell that this battle will be much harder than every previous encounter with Samiya has been. You refuse to allow her newfound determination to stop You though, and You brace yourself for a difficult battle.

Through much force and determination on your side of the battle, You and your allies manage to push through to Samiya. Defeating her will end the battle once and for all, and You press forward with intentions to end the war at long last for the sake of each person who has suffered under its weight.

If You initiate combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Samiya: You… You should not be here. Surely you know of the holy power that flows through your body. Surely you understand that you should be fighting for the good of this land rather than siding with those who have brought it so much damage.

You say that You intend to stay true to your convictions as to what is right to the end.

Samiya: So you will not listen… Hmph. I had been hoping that someone with the power of the divine would be willing to hear my words out, but I see that was a mistake. If this is the path you wish to follow, then so be it. I will not be holding back in the name of my own convictions. May you finally see the hellfire that awaits those who play to the hands of such treachery!

If Aisa initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Aisa: I did not wish to fight with you, Samiya… Truly, I did not.

Samiya: If you did not wish to fight me, then you would not have sided with Nemesis so many years ago.

Aisa: I did not ask for that to happen. Each day since then, I have worked to try and make up for my actions during the War of Heroes. It may not be worth much after all of the harm I brought to the people of Fódlan in ancient times, but I still must try it with everything I have.

Samiya: You are right. No amount of reparations will be able to fix this now. Nothing will be able to save your soul after the evil you have brought to this world.

Aisa: You are justified in wishing for vengeance against me. I will not say that you are wrong for wanting me to feel the pain that you came to know all too well in ancient times. Still… If you hold grudges toward me, then I would ask that we work them out on our own terms. You did not need to drag the entire continent into a fight that should have stayed between us.

Samiya: Your grip was simply too strong. Nobody would have wanted to oppose you. If they heard whispers that promised power and a place in the new world I was going to create though… If they could escape the ever-growing discontent among the nobility of this iteration of the world… Things would change.

Aisa: I wish we did not have to fight, but… I see now that there is truly no way for me to escape this conflict. As long as you wish for a battle, then I will give it to you.

Samiya: You were unable to best me in times long gone, and you will be unable to best me today. Try it with everything you have… If you dare to face me again, Atropos!

If Roy initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Roy: After a thousand years, your desire for revenge still burns hot enough to cause a war that could have destroyed everything.

Samiya: You could never hope to understand. Nemesis… He and his allies took everything from us. He destroyed everything I ever knew and loved. In siding with him, Atropos brought about the greatest tragedy this world has ever known.

Roy: And you think that causing yet another war in the name of destroying her is just? You think that the people of this land who will suffer along the way are fine sacrifices as long as you get the chance to kill the woman who did you wrong against her will a thousand years ago?

Samiya: She should not have turned against the hands who fed her if she did not want this to be the way it ended.

Roy: You were right… I couldn't ever understand. You think this world is just another stage for your vengeance rather than a place full of people who have suffered under your heel. As long as this is the life you've doomed so many others to… I see no qualms with ending yours here today!

If Cordelia initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Cordelia: I've been waiting for this day… At long last, this is when everything comes to an end.

Samiya: This assumes that you will win. What do you think will happen if I claim victory?

Cordelia: I'm not going to let that happen. This world has seen enough misery, and I'm not going to allow you to make it any worse.

Samiya: Hmph… Your arrogance is impressive.

Cordelia: That's an awfully bold thing for you to say after everything you did to start a war and send this land into hell.

Samiya: Then perhaps we will simply need to see whose strength wins out.

Cordelia: I can assure you that it will be mine!

If Chris initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Chris: You've been planning all of this from the start, haven't you? This entire war… You had it all mapped out before it could even begin.

Samiya: I could not allow anyone to interfere with my plans. I have been waiting for the moment to reclaim power within Fódlan for centuries, and I refused to let it fail now.

Chris: I see… Then Argades claiming I was responsible for the emperor's death was just another piece of that. Trying to kill all of the heirs of the three nations was the tip of the iceberg.

Samiya: If you had died, all would have been much simpler… But you stubbornly lived on.

Chris: I've been known to do that for better or worse. But as long as I'm here, I want to end this once and for all. First though… I want to know one thing.

Samiya: I will grant you that.

Chris: Evenor… Why did you choose to ally yourself with someone you should despise?

Samiya: Alliances are unstable things, and at times, desperate times call for desperate measures. I did what I had to in order to claim power over Fódlan.

Chris: So you condone her actions… Good to know. Now, I don't need to feel bad about striking you down here and now.

If Hegias initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Hegias: I wish I had something to say now that I'm here to face you, but… Nothing quite comes to mind.

Samiya: You are Evenor's protege, are you not? She spoke of you quite a bit in the conversations we shared.

Hegias: I see… I'm surprised that she brought me up, but I'm more surprised that you two worked together for so long to begin with.

Samiya: She wished to pull apart the Adrestian Empire for all that the previous emperor had done to her. Beyond that, her people sought vengeance against this world. I wished for revenge as well, so it felt like a natural arrangement.

Hegias: I've heard of the history between our people… The Nabateans and Agarthans fought for many years in many bitter wars. Were you really alright working with those you despised in the name of utility?

Samiya: At times, we must make sacrifices to achieve our own ends, and this was simply another matter I had to settle with.

Hegias: You truly thought of nothing but revenge to the bitter end…

Samiya: I could not allow that woman to remain on the seat at the peak of Fódlan. After everything she did… I simply could not allow it.

Hegias: I see… Well, I can't allow you to press on after everything you've done. For the sake of everyone you've twisted and cast aside… We end things here and now.

If Magnolia initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Magnolia: I never would have imagined that there would be someone out there who had done so much in the name of revenge… But I suppose I should have known this entire effort was too coordinated to be filled with rogue elements.

Samiya: As long as you believed that there was no mastermind for long enough for the world to crumble, all would have been well.

Magnolia: You've been planting the seeds of discontent for decades… Just waiting for the perfect moment to pull everything together, and in doing so, pull apart the world.

Samiya: Leaving this land in the hands of its enemy was something I simply could not allow. I did what I had to in the name of our greater future.

Magnolia: I would ask you how you could possibly rationalize your actions as heroic, but I know that there won't be a point to it. You've already decided that you're in the right, and there's nothing I can do to stop that now.

Samiya: I did what I found to be for the best.

Magnolia: If that's what you believe… Alright. I would be more than happy to show you what I find to be right though. You brought this world to its knees, and I will be the hand it needs to stand and fight once again!

If Falon initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Falon: Tell me, Samiya… Have you truly been masterminding all of this from the very beginning?

Samiya: I have been planning my revenge for centuries. Everything had to go exactly as I was hoping.

Falon: I see… Then you knew most of the things that the people under your command were slated to do.

Samiya: They sided with me in the name of gaining more power, and I could hardly deny them that.

Falon: Power… I see. Selfish bastards, each and every one of you. All this time, you haven't cared at all about the people you might hurt, and the people under your command are just the same.

Samiya: You could not hope to understand.

Falon: You're right. I don't understand. Why did you let the people under your command do as they so pleased? Why did my father have to die?

Samiya: Someone else made that decision. As long as she was willing to ally herself with me, then I understood. Sacrifices had to be made.

Falon: Sacrifices… Tch. If that's all you see human life as, then I would be more than happy to make you the next sacrifice of the bunch, and if all goes well, you'll be the last!

If Raithius initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Raithius: You know… I haven't been able to stop thinking about everything that you must have caused in the name of this war. You knew there were many people dissatisfied with the world around them, and you used each and every one of them.

Samiya: The pressures of the world were too much for them, and something finally caved for each of them. I was simply the hand they needed to be lifted from the darkness.

Raithius: You thought that they would be useful in destroying each country… Each nation that you once fought for with everything you had centuries ago.

Samiya: This land has fallen into the hands of those who cannot be trusted… The hands of those who would rip this realm apart if they were given the opportunity.

Raithius: So war is your best option in response to that… I see. There wasn't going to be any reasoning with you from the start. You already made up your mind likely before any of us were even born.

Samiya: You could never hope to understand even if you tried.

Raithius: Time can fix all things… But it can destroy them too. It's a shame you had to fall into the latter category.

If Eli initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Eli: All this time, I've struggled to fully understand how a person could do so much harm without caring… I still don't think I comprehend it completely. How could you be so callous towards the people you hurt without caring?

Samiya: I know what must be done in order to save this world, and I refuse to bend to the whims of those who will only bring it greater harm.

Eli: Your perceptions of reality are not necessarily how the world is. Even if you think that Lady Aisa's judgement is imperfect, war… War will not fix this.

Samiya: She took the seat of power from those who would never betray their comrades. Her treachery must be met with compensation.

Eli: Still, I… I don't see how you can look me in the eye now and say that you really think all of this was justified.

Samiya: I cannot expect someone like you to fully understand it. You have not seen the years that I have.

Eli: I wish I could have done something to fix this before it grew so terrible… Time can bring with it pain and bitterness, and I'm sorry nobody was there to catch you when you began to fall.

Samiya: I do not need saving. I chose this path on my own, and I intend to see it through as well.

Eli: I wish you could see the truth… But if this is truly what you want, then so be it. Let this war end here and now for us all!

If anyone else initiates combat with Samiya, the following dialogue plays out.

Samiya: Thank you for coming here to the palace… It certainly spares me the trouble of needing to track you down myself. Now, I can make this castle your tomb with my own two hands!

When Samiya is defeated, the following dialogue plays out.

Samiya: No… How could this… Be…?

After the battle, You stand alongside Aisa and look down at Samiya with a dark frown on your face.

Samiya: I-I do not understand… How could someone like you… Defeat me…?!

Aisa: I did not wish for this to be the way the war ended, Samiya. Your hatred toward me is justified, and I will not pretend otherwise. Still… I wish to defend those who have suffered under your actions, and I am sorry that this is how it had to be.

Samiya: D-Do not pity me! This… This realm should have never fallen into your hands!

Aisa: You are the only one of your kind left… Seiros and the Four Saints perished centuries ago, and now, you are the only trace of the past that remains. You are alone in this world, and… You fight against it.

Samiya: You could never… Hope to understand me…

Aisa: You are right… But I wish that I could. For your sake, I wish there was someone who could reach out and understand everything you have been through. In starting this war and bringing such tragedy to this land… All of that changed and fell out of your control. I simply wish it could have been different.

Samiya: This world… It will not s-survive under your rule alone…

Aisa: No… But no land can thrive without the aid of others. I mean to do everything I can to bring peace to the people who have suffered so deeply, and while it may not be the world that you wanted… I pray that it will be enough to keep the people at peace.

Samiya: This will not undo… The sins of your past…

Aisa: I understand that. I will not pretend that this will change the damage that I have done previously. But… I will still do everything I can with hopes that perhaps others can benefit from my actions in the future. The past is out of our hands, but the future is ours to control as we see fit. I simply wish your ideals for the future did not lead us down such different paths… Perhaps we could have fought together in some other world.

Samiya: N-Never… Not with you…!

Aisa: I am sorry, Samiya… May the goddess welcome you to her side kindly.

Samiya falls limp, and You stare down at her body for a long, silent moment.

Aisa: And so it ends…

You ask Aisa how she feels in light of Samiya's death.

Aisa: I do not know… But I meant it when I said that I would fight in the name of peace for this land. The people who have suffered so much under her heel deserve as much. It may not be the future any of us wanted or asked for, but this is what we have been given, and I intend to do everything I can with it.

You smile and say that You will stand by her side no matter what happens next.

Aisa: Thank you, Professor… I know it may not mean much after all this world has suffered through both at my hands and due to the actions of others. Still, I pray there is something more we can do to make the future something worth fighting and living for. Samiya had her own ideals for the future, and as twisted as they were… I understand that she would have wanted the best for Fódlan in her own way.

You nod and tell Aisa that You have faith in her vision of the future to bring Fódlan to peace.

Aisa: Thank you. I ask that you join me in facing this path ahead. None can say what it will bring, but I want it to be a world we can all believe in.

You smile and take her hand when she reaches it out to You. For a brief moment, You and Aisa both hesitate to look down at Samiya's body before moving toward the doors of the throne room and the brighter dawn that awaits You beyond the palace's walls.

The scene will shift to the Goddess Tower if an S-Support was chosen. Their S-Support scene will play out here, but if no person was selected, the next segment will show immediately instead.

The Church of Seiros returned in full after the war ended, and Aisa was reinstated as the archbishop looking over the land. She went on to lead the continent to an era of peace to follow the chaos that had so readily consumed them, doing all she could for those who had suffered the most under the weight of the conflict. Many who crossed paths with Aisa after the war claimed that she seemed different in a way that words struggled to articulate, but those closest to her knew that she was carrying on the torch of regrets and ideals long gone. The Church of Seiros was never so beloved, and Aisa was at the forefront of it all. In the decades to follow, a silver snow of tranquility and stability fell across the land of Fódlan, and all would remember it as an era of beauty like nothing they had ever seen before, healing every broken heart with the flow of time.

The credits roll.
