The rain fell quickly as a young woman ran swiftly down the street.
She ran as fast as she could, turning a corner and down an alley. She swore she wouldn't run, but her legs seemed to have a mind of its own...
Dead End.
She looked for an exit. A ladder! She climbed up the ladder and onto the balcony. She thanked silently the person who was dumb enough to leave the ladder unlocked. She climbed quickly to the top. Narrowed eyes looked up the ladder. They followed as the woman's legs disappeared onto the roof. The figure chuckled darkly and disappeared.
The woman froze. "Kagome didn't I teach you..." Kagome shook with fear. "Not to run from your master?" continued the menacing voice. Kagome didn't respond. The eyes narrowed further.
A harsh slap met Kagome's cheek. Kagome cried out in pain, feeling her cheek bleed.
"Now Kagome.... What did I tell you about answering when being spoken to?" said the figure flash its white teeth.
"To always answer when spoken to Master." Kagome said spitting out the word 'master'. "Hmpf... I'm surprised you got fight left in you. But I'll let that tone of yours slide." said the male.
Kagome was about to leap up and strangle him. But she knew was out-matched for now. Kagome felt a smooth finger run across her cheek.
"My pretty Kagome... so beautiful. But not as lovely as your sister, Kikyo, but then again we all have our flaws." He laughed cruelly as her world turned black.
(Kagome Dream sequence)
Kagome was in a dark void. She looked around and sighed. Nothing.
"Just like before...?" said a voice almost mockingly. She turned around, only to see darkness. Kagome frowned curling herself into a ball. "I don't want to be alone again..."
Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her. "Shh... don't be said, Kagome." Said the stranger. She sobbed.
"Don't cry my pretty." Kagome suppressed her sobs, but it turned out into sniffles. "Ah. See it's better not waste your tears on things like this." The stranger said. Kagome nodded. "Who are you?" said Kagome. "Me?" Echoed the stranger.
"No one, and yet, someone at the same time." He answered. Kagome frowned.
"Please tell me your name?" She pleaded softly. "Well tell me yours first." The stranger commanded, helping her up.
"My name is Kagome." Kagome tried to look at the face, but it was hidden beneath a mask.
The stranger looked at Kagome. "Kagome a simple name, a lovely name, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Kagome smiled.
"Thank you." Was her reply..
"I must go..." he said suddenly, making a move to leave..
"WAIT! I didn't get your name!" Kagome yelled. Then it was dark again.

Kagome's eyes flew open to meet with crimson ones, screaming at what she saw..
