Paul's mind was completely puzzled now. He found the object Monica wanted him to find. He recognized it as Monica's time capsule, but he hasn't yet told her what he found. He just sat on a roof and dug through all of it. Finding that time capsule also brought back the memories he thought were erased when reality was warped. In order to save his mother's life, he had to give up his marriage and reality was altered so that their marriage never happened. He now remembers what his life was like before, but he wasn't sure what to do.

"This nuts." Paul said as his head felt like it was spiraling. "One minute, I'm in committed relationship. The next, I remember that I'm married. What am I going to do?" Those memories coming back has also brought back the feelings and love he has for Monica. If it weren't for that deal, they still would be together. Now, he's in love with Sabella. He loves two women now and he has to choose, but he doesn't know who. If he chooses Sabella, Monica will never know the truth, but he'll be living a lie. If he chooses Monica, he has to end it with Sabella when she's done so much for him and knows how much she loves him. Even if he does end it with Sabella, he doesn't know if Monica will get all her memories back like he did. He just doesn't know what to do. At times like this, you need people close to you.

Harris

Paul decided to pay Harris a visit at his law school. He waited until he was available for lunch and joined him in the cafeteria. They both grabbed their own food and helped themselves to a table.

"I don't think I've eaten like this since we were in high school." Paul said as they both walked over to a table and sat down with their food.

"Yeah, but the food here is even better, but you have to pay for all of it." Harris said as they helped themselves. "Honestly, high school is cheaper." The two of them had a good chuckle as they ate.

"Anyway, I'm sorry to bother you while you're at school. I know you must have a lot going on." Paul said. "Probably isn't easy. You're raising a kid, have a part-time job, you're trying to be a lawyer... Harris, I'm a little surprised you even have time for little old me."

"I always have time for my best friend. Besides, you know I cut back on some of my law school so I could take care of Tony. It might take me a little longer to be a lawyer, but I like to keep some time open for Tony." Harris said. "Besides, you know you're like family. I want Tony to consider you his uncle."

"How is he doing by the way?" Paul asked.

"Tony? Growing like a weed." Harris said. "I don't care how hard it is to balance law school, work, and raising a family. I'm glad I have him in my life." Paul was so amazed with Harris. Harris has a lot of pride in being a father and he's proud of his best friend for that. "Okay, let's get down to business. I can tell this isn't a social visit. What's going on? Everything okay?"

"Uh... It's complicated." Paul said as he know Harris wouldn't know the half of it.

"Wait. I bet I know what it is. It's about that virus, isn't it? The one that Librium stole, not to mention that road rage between you, them, and Sable International." Harris said.

"How do you know about that?" Paul questioned.

"What happened on the streets is all over the news. As for how I know about the virus, Monica told Jessica and Jessica told me." Harris said. "You know those two are close. Plus, Monica is a reporter and likes to share the news and the truth."

"I'll keep that in mind for next time, but that's not why I'm here." Paul said.

"Everything okay?" Harris asked.

"Again, complicated." Paul said as he wasn't sure how to do this without exposing the truth. He had to choose his words carefully. "Look at what you've done with your life. You're married, have a family, and you're working on becoming a lawyer. It's all amazing for you. So, let me ask this, and it might sound weird or such. You loved something before, but you don't have it anymore. Would you take it back even if that meant you had to let go of something else you love?"

"I...don't follow." Harris said as he didn't really understand what he was saying. "Talking about my life...? Paul, are you feeling insecure about yours or something?"

"Sure, let's go with that." Paul said as he just tried to went with it.

"Paul, you're Spider-Man." Harris said as he made sure no one was listening. "You do what you do and save lives. Sure, you had to make some sacrifices, even when it came to the people you love. In the end, you put others before yourself. You might be taking photos of yourself to feed that lousy paper, but you're doing what you love."

"Thanks." Paul said, but that doesn't exactly help him.

"You also asked me if I would get something I love back, but lose something else I love, would I do it? I don't quite understand that." Harris said.

"Let's take Jessica for example. For while, you two broke up at one point." Paul said. "You did get back together, but what if there was something else going on. Let's say you were dating some other girl at the time, but you knew still loved Jessica and you believe she still loves you. Would you still try to get her back?" When he asked that, it had Harris thinking there were problems between Sabella and Paul.

"Paul, are you thinking of dumping Sabella?" Harris questioned. "I thought you actually loved her. She seems like a real keeper. She's gorgeous, smart, strong, and a whole lot of other things. She's basically a perfect ten, the complete package."

"Careful. You don't want Jessica to know about this." Paul joked.

"I just don't understand. Are you going to end it with her?" Harris asked. Paul figured he couldn't outsmart Harris easily, but he still cant' reveal the whole truth.

"Harris, all I can tell you is that I'm trying to figure something out." Paul said. "I just need you to trust me." Harris was concerned for Paul, but he did trust him.

"Well, if I had a chance to get something I loved back, even if it meant letting something else I love go, I would have to say it all really depends on what I love more." Harris said as he was respecting Paul's wishes and privacy. That helped Paul and he was grateful Harris respected his boundaries.

"Thanks, Harris." Paul said as he finished his food and was getting ready to leave.

"Good luck with whatever you're figuring out." Harris said as all he wants is for Paul to have his own happiness. As Paul was going, Harris' phone went off and saw it was his mother wanting to video chat. He answered and saw his mother with Tony in her arms. "Hey, Mom. Is there a problem? Is Tony okay?"

"Everything is fine. I think someone is just getting a little cranky from not being with Daddy." Mrs. Harper said as she gestured Tony. Harris humored his little boy as they chatted and played over phone. Paul saw it go on and it had him thinking that it could have been him. He and Monica were going to have a child, but she ended up having a miscarriage. It was the hardest, most tragic, and depressing moment either of them went through. However, they got through it because they were together. Paul would have loved being a father, but he had to put that on hold because of Monica. He could have that with Sabella, too. Would it feel the same? After all, if he hadn't made that deal, he and Sabella never would even be together. Reality changed around because he did give up something he loved for something else he loved: his marriage to save his mother's life. Putting all that to mind, he knows what he has to do.

Sabella's Apartment

Later that night, Paul waited anxiously for Sabella. He's come to a decision and he needs to make it clear before it's too late. Soon, Sabella came in and she was happy to see him.

"Hey. I'm sorry, but there's been no word about he virus yet." Sabella said. "Looks like Librium is being sure they don't waste it, but since we don't know what they plan to do with it, we don't know how to act. My brother and his men are searching the entire city, turning the whole place upside down to find it. He's also not pleased with Spider-Man." Sabella went on and on like that, but she could tell something was bothering Paul. "Are you okay?"

"Not exactly." Paul said as he braced himself. "This isn't easy for me to say, Paul." It took some time to explain himself, but it certainly wasn't easy. Paul tried his best to get through it, but Sabella couldn't believe what he was telling her. She was devastated at the news. She could barely even look at him anymore. After hearing all that Paul had to say, he gave Sabella some space.

"How did this happen? How did you come up with this?" Sabella said with her back to him.

"I'm really sorry. I wish it was easy for me to explain, but it isn't." Paul said.

"I moved all the way to this country in hopes of being closer to you. My whole life changed around because of. I waited all these years for this, and you're now saying it's over?" Sabella said. That made the pressure Paul was feeling even worse. He wished he didn't have to, but he be lying to her if he kept going like this. "I loved you!" She shouted as she turned to him with tears in her eyes. "You said you loved me!"

"I'm sorry... I really am..." Paul said as he felt such guilt for this. "Something in me just clicked."

"Something in you just clicked? You basically told me that you love someone else, someone you loved before! Is that really all you have to say?!" Sabella said as she wasn't satisfied with that answer. "You claim it's someone you loved before! That feels even worse because that feels like you didn't love me enough! Is that really all you're going to tell me?! Do you understand how this makes me feel?!" She cried as Paul felt her heart breaking with each word. "There's something you're not telling me! There is, isn't there?!" She wasn't satisfied with what Paul was saying. He didn't really give her a real explanation as to how he came to this conclusion. It's not like he can claim reality was rewritten and that he was married before, and he still loves his wife. He just stood there and didn't really answer her. "Get out. Please just leave." She can't bare to look at him as she just turned away from him as Paul was leaving, but he stopped at the door.

"I'm sorry, Sabella. I really did love you. That much was true." Paul said before leaving. He did love her, but there was something he couldn't say because he couldn't do that to her. He couldn't say that their relationship didn't feel real anymore.

Librium

"Sir... Are we ready yet?" A member of Librium asked. They were hiding out somewhere and speaking with the one who was in charge.

"Soon." The mastermind said as he held the virus and was working on some computer.

"No, I think we've done enough of your work!" The member said as he appeared to have ran out of patience. "You said that if we help you, you help us get the boss back! We got that stupid virus! We did everything you said! If you're not going to keep your end of the deal, you're a dead man, freak!" He took out a gun and aimed it right at him, but the mastermind wasn't having that. Something came at the Librium member and smashed against him with him also being thrown into the wall. That made the other members quiet.

"I assure you that I will keep my word. In fact, your boss, as well as a few others, are a part of what I have planned next. The time is almost upon us. I shall destroy...everything!"

Monica

As for Monica, she was asleep in her apartment. She waited to hear from Paul about what has her mind puzzled, or about the D-EL8 virus. So far, nothing. So, she just slept in bed, but she woke up when she heard something. She looked up and saw Spider-Man crawl in with the time capsule.

"Paul? What are you doing?" Monica questioned as she sat up.

"There's something I want to show you." Paul said as he removed his mask. He's hoping this works. "This is what you wanted me to find. Open it up and have a look." He's hoping this does bring Monica's memories back or he gave up Sabella for nothing. Monica didn't quite understand what he was doing, but went along with it. She opened up the time capsule and dug around in there. Everything in there was something she put in there herself.

"These photos..." Monica said as something was jogging.

"You made this time capsule yourself and buried it in Central Park." Paul pointed out. Monica looked through all of it and she was going through the same thing as Paul did. She felt a sharp pain with flash images of those memories coming at her. When her mind was beginning to settle, Monica looked right at Paul with him hoping this worked or their marriage could really be gone for good.

"I knew we find each other again!" Monica said with such joy. like a tragedy has been undone. She threw herself in Paul's arms and the two held each other. They held each other as close as they could for even though they were so close to each other, it felt like they were so far apart for so long. It really worked and now Monica has her memories back. Two lovers who were torn apart from dimensional powers have finally been brought back together.
