"Alright, Naruto. We're here." said the voice of Tobi.
"Whoa, this is supoer cool! I wish mom would've let me come here earlier!" Naruto declared.
"Haha, yeah. She would have both of our heads for sure. Anyway, I want you to meet some people." Tobi said as the two entered through the doors.
Naruto saw the different individuals inside the room. The one that caught his attention the most, Kisame Hoshigaki, former swordsmen of the hidden mist. The idolization of the swordsmen was something Naruto held dear to him. Tobi noticed this and smiled under his mask. "Kisame, come see." ordered Tobi.
"Ah, yes. Lord Madara." Kisame said while his gaze shifted to the young blond.
"This is Naruto Uchiha, son of Mei Terumi and Zabuza Mommochi." Tobi said.
Naruto gave a respectful bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you, ." Naruto said. His nervousness didn't go unnoticed by the shark man.
"Relax, gaki. It's nice to meet you." Kisame said.
Naruto looked back up and inspected the man. While he wore the traditional black robes with white clouds, Naruto was in aw, at seeing the gills and blue colored skin. The most noticible features, were Kisame's razor sharp teeth. "How did you do that?" Naruto asked as he pointed to his teeth.
"Oh, these? As a member of the seven swordsmen, it's protocal to have sharp teeth. It gives for an intimidating appearance. Why? Do you want some?" asked Kisame.
Naruto's eyes opened wide. "Can I? That would be so cool!" Naruto shouted.
"Haha, I like you, gaki. Later, we can talk and I'll do the jutsu." Kisame said as he dismissed himself.
"He'll be assisting you in the art of kenjutsu. I know your father wanted to teach you, but I think Kisame is a better fit. Especially since he's also known for his large reserves." Tobi explained. It was then, Tobi remembered something. "Hidan, Kakazu, come here." Ordered Tobi.
"What the fuck do you want? Another mission?" asked Hidan lazily.
"I will ask that you don't use such language around the boy." Tobi said in a stern tone.
"Why the fuck not? Who is he?" asked Hidan as he glared at the young blond.
"My godson. Now, unless you want to live in the Kamui universe, you'll watch yourself. Naruto, this is Hidan." Tobi said.
Naruto looked at the man. "What's your ability? I mean, aside from the stupid scythe that you have." Naruto said.
"I'm immortal. It means I can't die." Hidan declared.
"Really? How did you become immortal?" Naruto asked.
"Lord Jashin. He's the one that blessed me with such an ability. All I have to do in return is kill in his honor. Are you interested in joining?" asked Hidan.
"What? Your religion is based on ending the lives of others? What happens when everyone dies?" asked Naruto.
Hidan stopped and thought about the kids response. "I dunno, I never thought about it that much." Hidan admitted.
"Seems like a waste. You're immortal, so you won't get old and you won't die. Yet, you dedicate your life to killing. Pretty damn stupid if you ask me." Naruto said as he glared at Hidan.
"Naruto, this is Kakazu. While he may not look it, he's over ninty years old. In fact, he's fought with both Hashirama and Tobriama Senju." Tobi explained.
"Really? Wow, you must be super stronger!" Naruto shouted.
"Strength isn't everything. That's why I lost in my battle." Kakazu muttered.
"I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. From what I heard, even Madara Uchiha struggled against the man. Though, one day I'll become just as strong, if not stronger." Naruto declared.
"Tell me, what is it you desire more than anything?" asked Kakazu.
Naruto adopted a thinking position. "I want world peace. OF course, being the Mizukage is my first dream. I want to unite all the villages as one. I want a world with no hatred, no war, and no pain." Naruto said with a bright smile.
"Hmph. That's a fools dream. As long as there is shinobi, the cycle of hatred will continue." Kakazu muttered to the blond. "Do we have a mission?" asked Kakazu.
"Yes, but not right now. You two are dismissed." Tobi said. "Don't take it the wrong way, Kakazu and Hidan are essential members of the Akatsuki. They both have a form of immortality. Kakazu is also our accountant and medic. Hidan, well... He's our guy we send in to scale a powerful foe. Since he can't die, it's never a loss." Tobi explained.
"I see. He's pretty weird. Kakazu though, he's kind of interesting. Though, Kisame is my favorite." Naruto said.
"Come with me, I've got someone I think you'll be happy to meet." Tobi said as the two proceeded out of the common area and into the training dojo. "Naruto, this is Itachi Uchiha. He's actually the former best friend of Shisui Uchiha." Tobi said.
"No way. Really?" asked Naruto in disbelief.
"Itachi, please come here. I would like you to meet the Uchiha clan's newest member. Naruto Uchiha." Tobi said.
Itachi had long black hair. Stress marks under his eyes, an emotionless face, and a fish netted suit under his robes. "Hello, Naruto. It's a pleasure to meet you." Itachi said in a low tone.
"Did you really know Shisui Uchiha?" asked Naruto.
"I did. I take it you've heard about him and his reputation?" asked Itachi.
"Yeah! I'm currently learning the Hiraishin. I'm hoping to give myself a title. I met the tailed beast without a tailed beast, , Immortal Hidan, Kakazu of the Earth Grudge, and now you. But, I don't really know why you're famous." Naruto said.
"Go on, tell him, Itachi." Tobi said.
Itachi sighed. "I'm known as many things. Itachi of the Sharingan and the youngest anbu of all time. However, the most common name I've been given, is clan killer Itachi." The man said emotionlessly.
"You killed your entire clan?" Naruto asked as he took a step back.
"Don't fear him. Konohagakure was in danger from the Uchiha clan. In fact, the two of us eliminated them, except for one young boy and his mother. However, none of that is important. Itachi will teach about stealth and infiltration. He's also intelligent. You'll learn lots from him." Tobi said.
"Okay." Naruto said as he thanked Itachi for meeting with him after bowing.
"The other two, Deidara and Sasori are currently away. You'll meet them when you return. Now, on to business. I bleieve there are two people who you would benefit from meeting. One of them, you'll meet in a few years, once you have grown stronger. The other one, we'll meet her in about six months." Tobi said.
"Why six months?" Naruto asked.
"You will be trained for six months. Kisame will focus on your water element, Itachi on your fire element. Kakazu, he's gifted in the Wind release. You'll master your three basic elements under them. You'll also learn about shinobi history and finances from Kakazu. I will teach you taijutsu." Tobi said.
"Sweet! When do I start?" Naruto asked with excitement in his voice.
"Tommorow. I have a few things to take care of. Here is your room. You have a desk, a few blank scrolls, and some books. I've also got you a pallet to sleep on. Please, feel free to explore the base. However, you are not to leave, no matter what. Unless you have my permission." Tobi said as he vanished in a swirl.
Naruto went to his room and sat at his desk and opened the Hiraishin scroll. "Wow, this is really complicated. No wonder the Yellow Flash is feared among all. But not me! I'll master this jutsu and take it to new levels!" Naruto declared to himself as he began breaking the jutsu into the smallest bits possible.
With Tobi
"As you see, we've got a new plan." said the man with an orange mask.
"Do you really believe he's the boy of prophecy? The one that's supposed to bring peace to the shinobi world?" asked a man with orange hair and piercings down his face.
"Yes. Not only does Naruto possess the power of two tailed beast, his soul is pure. I couldn't corrupt him even if I wanted to. This brings me to my next point. Pain, you and Konan will watch over the boy in my absence. I don't want anything happening to him." Tobi explained.
"Yes Lord Madara." Pain said.
"What are his abilities?" asked the blue haired woman named Konan.
"Naruto has an unnatural affinity for Fire, Water, and Wind. The affinities are so high, I believe he's got the potential to use some of the advanced elements. Kisame will train the boy in the water style, Kakazu in the wind style, and finally, Itachi will train him in the fire release." Tobi explained.
"I see..." Konan said.
"He's currently working on the Hiraishin. I doubt he'll learn it anytime soon. But, he will be with us for about three years. So this will be the perfect amount of time to train him." Tobi said as he vanished away in a swirl.
"What do you think?" asked Konan.
"I believe we should place our faith in the boy. I mean, he's our former sensei's student's son. So let's see." Pain said.
Four Months later
"Water Release - Demon Shark Bomb!" Naruto shouted as he created a massive shark that exploded on impact. "How was that?" Naruto asked.
"Your control is getting better. I'd say in a few years, you could give Tobriama Senju a run for his money." Kisame said with a smirk. This brightend Naruto's face.
"I'm really excited for my mission in two months. I wonder what Fu is like?" Naruto asked.
"From my understanding, Jinchuriki are hated inside their villages. In fact, I wouldn't' be surprised if she snapped and tried to attack." Kisame muttered.
"That's stupid. People shouldn't Jinchuriki. We're just like everyone else. I know that when I take over Kirigakure, I'm going to recruit all Jinchuriki and we will live happily ever after." Naruto said with determination.
"You certainly think positive. I've never met anyone like you." Kisame told the blond as he ruffled his hair.
"My dad and sister taught me a long time ago that crying about things and having a negative view of the world will only cause things to get worse. As long as I look at things on the bright side, I'll be overrall way more happier." Naruto told the shark man.
It was long before Pain entered the training field. "Naruto, please come." Pain said and the blond bowed to Kisame and followed the man. As the two were walking, Naruto noticed a strange feeling coming from Pain.
"Hey, are you alright?" Naruto asked.
"I am. Why do you ask? asked Pain who continued looking forward.
"Your chakra, it seems to be under some kind of stress." Naruto pointed out.
"It's always in distress. As long as there is pain in this world, it will always be this way." Pain said.
"That's not true. As long as you look at things half empty, you'll never be satisfied." Naruto shot back.
"I believe the term you were looking for is, if you look at a glass of water and see that it's half empty, it shows your perspective on life." Pain said.
"Whatever the term is, you know I'm right. Shoot, even aunt Konan is right." Naruto muttered.
"Anyway, I've come to inform you that your mission will be starting two months earlier. It seems that the hidden Waterfall village is becoming less trusting of their Jinchuriki." Pain said.
"Is everything going to be alright?" Naruto asked.
"Yes. I've decided to send you along with Kakazu and Hidan. Kakazu is a form member of Taikgakure. He'll know how to get there." Pain explained.
"Man, can't I go with someone else? I'll even take Deidara and Kisame. Oh, what about Zetsu? Can't he get us in?" asked Naruto.
"No, now get ready. That's an order." Pain said in his stern tone.
"Man, aunt Konan really needs to lay down with you." Naruto muttered before going to pack his things.
"Are you sure it's wise to go against Lord Madara? I seem to remember him saying that he was going to speak with them first. Why send the two most blood thirsty shinobi?" asked Konan.
"You're too soft on the boy. Talking things out and remaining civil will only delay what's bound to happen. Anyway, I believe this will give Naruto good experience." Pain explained.
"Whatever. Just make sure you tell Lord Madara that it was your call, not mine." Konan said as she looked out at the pouring rain. "Be careful, Naru." Konan silently thought before leaving the office.
