Chapter 9: Mary's Homecoming

Mary smiled to herself as she watched for Wilson to come pick her up to take her home. She was getting agitated waiting for her husband to come and get her when she saw him enter her room. Wilson came over to see his wife.

"I am so glad to be going home," Mary told her husband.

"I missed having you next to me in bed, and Billy missed your night kisses," Wilson said.

"Where is our son," Mary asked looking around for her son. Wilson squeezed her tight and kissed her.

"Well Billy is at our house with your family," Wilson said. Mary stood up and the two of them walked hand in hand together.

Back at the Camden house Ruthie was doing her homework in the living room while watching TV when she heard the doorbell ring. Ruthie went to the door to answer it.

"Who is it" Ruthie said as she before she opened it.

"It is Jenna and Hannah," the girls called to her. Ruthie opened the door to see them in the doorway.

"What are you doing," Hannah told her.

"Working on homework then going to my sister's homecoming party," Ruthie told them.

"She is coming home today," Jenna said to Ruthie in a surprised voice. Ruthie nodded as she led her friends in to the living room so she could finish her homework.

At the Kinkirk house Billy was finishing packing when Lucy came in.

"Are you ready to go?" Lucy asked her nephew.

"I can't wait to see mom, but what about you I will miss you," Billy said to his aunt.

"You will see me and your uncle your family still will be in Glen Oak," Lucy said coming over to hugging her nephew. Lucy then helped Billy finish his packing.

At the West home everyone was there waiting for Mary to come home. It was almost like a family get together the last time she had surgery many years ago. Wilson walked with Mary into their house to see their families waiting at home for them.

"Mom," Mary heard a voice call to her. Mary walked though the crowd to see her son waiting for her with Lucy standing with him.

"Aw there is my son," Mary cooed to her step son. Mary knelt down so her step son could come over to her. Billy ran over to his mom to hug her. Mary scooped her son to hug him tight. She stood up with him still in her arms. Mary walked around visiting with Billy in her arms still.

"It is so nice to see your back home," Eric told his daughter.

"I am glad to be back home with my son and husband," Mary said as she hugged Billy and then gave him a kiss. The homecoming party slowly died down. Sam and David fell asleep together on the couch with Ruthie sitting between them. Billy fell asleep on the floor. Mary picked her son up and carried him into bed. Mary got him into him into bed. She kissed him good night and turned the light off and went back to the party.

Once everyone was gone Mary and Wilson cleaned the house.

"Thanks for the party," Mary told him.

"Your welcome, I love you very much and I was so scared," Wilson said.

"I was so scared to and I am glad to be in your life still. I love you and our son," Mary told her husband. Tears started rolling down Mary's cheeks of what may have happened to her. Wilson put down the wash cloth and came over to his wife to wiped a tear off her cheek.

That night Wilson and Mary laid snuggled together in bed after checking on Billy.

"This is the way I want to stay," Mary told him. Wilson smiled and nodded in agreement. Mary then did something she hadn't done in a long time with Wilson. She put her arms around his neck and started kissing him.

The next morning Mary could feel someone else on her bed. She opened her eyes to see Billy half crying.

"What is wrong," Mary whispered to him. Billy ran quietly over to his mom's side of the bed and climbed in.

"I had a bad dream that I lost two moms you, and my birth mom," Billy said.

"That is just a bad dream that is true, because I am here and always love you," Mary said kissing his face. Billy smiled at his mom.

"I love you too mom," Billy said hugging his mom. Mary then brushed Billy's hair as the two of them back to sleep.
