"Ah Meowth did you just see that?" James asked standing up and joining Jesse after seeing the first flash of lightning,
"see what?" Meowth asked before they were nearly blinded by a great flash of light,
"...O that" he said.
"Well I guess the twerps did it" Jesse said
"well come on get moving I'm not standing around in the rain any longer then necessary" she yelled at James before kicking Meowth out of the way.
The rain was now falling hard as the digi-destined ran along through the grass towards the City with Ash, Misty and Brock,
"are we nearly there yet" Kari asked her brother Tai who was running up ahead,
"I dunno, I hope so," he said,
"Yeh same goes for me here" TK added as they kept running.
"Hey why don't we just Armour Digivolve then you two and ride on us?" Gatomon and Patamon asked TK and Kari.
"Oh, great Idea Gatomon!" Kari said before smiling at TK,
"Gatomon Armour Digivolve into Nefertimon" Kari yelled,
"Patamon Armour Digivolve into Pegususmon" TK yelled before they jumped onto their newly digivolved digimon and took to the sky.
"Ay that's no fair" Matt yelled out from the ground as he saw his little sister and TK soar into the night sky.
"Hey look it's Vermilion city," TK said pointing towards the now bigger and closer glowing area of lights,
"wow it looks so nice from up here" Kari added as they neared it while the others ran as fast as they could to keep up below.
"I wish I had chosen a flying Pokemon now" Sora said out loud though to no one in particular, she was beginning to tire,
"Same here... or I wish I had Tentamon with me" said Izzy.
Mimi and the others kept running, she was pretty fit though she soon began to tire, Matt watched as she began to fall behind to where Ash and Izzy were before stopping and drawing out his poke ball.
"Go Growlithe digivolve into Arcanine": He yelled before jumping onto Arcanine's back as Mimi caught up and soon Arcanine was off and running gracefully after TK and Kari with Mimi tightly holding onto Matt afraid she'd fall off.
Meanwhile the members of Team Rocket were still running trying to catch up, "Oh I wish we had flying pokemon or what ever those other 2 things are" James said as he tried to keep up with the others.
"I wish I had wings I think it would be a lot more fun then a pokemon," Jesse added as she tried to gain some ground on the 'twerps.'
"Will you two just shut up and keep running we need to gain some ground here and we wont do that by you two talking all the time" Meowth yelled back at them.
"hey Meowth I just had a great idea why don't we capture not just the pokemon but those two other flying things as well" James said.
"Now that's I good Idea James" said Jesse making James smile finally getting some credit for something. . .
"actually it is a good idea but I got a better one" Meowth said,
"you have..." James and Jesse said together,
"yes I have... I mean if we are going to take the pokemon and the two other flying things we might as well take the things those digi kids wear" Meowth said.
"What I great Idea Meowth why didn't I think of that...oh that's right cause it would be close to impossible to complete a mission like that" Jesse yelled at him.
"It could work we just need a foolproof plan" Meowth said,
"well you can come up with the plan by yourself now or wait until we get to some form of shelter because I'm not thinking until I get out of the rain" Jesse said ending the convocation.
TK and Kari where the first to arrive at the outer edge of the city and after their digimon had dedigivolved Matt and Mimi arrived and sometime later the others came panting heavily. Ash, Brock and Misty lead them through town to find a Poké Centre.
"There it is" Brock said pointing to a big circular building around the centre of the City as they all continued to run through the rain until they were inside the building.
"Ok that's enough running for me" said Ash as he slumped down on the ground,
"same goes for me" said Misty who soon joined him on the floor, 'pika pika' said Pikachu as he slid off Ash's hat.
"Hi there can I help you" they all looked up to see the Nurse Joy of Vermilion City Pokemon Centre standing there, Brock was about to go over to her but Misty grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
"Ah yeh we were just wondering if we could stay the night here?" she asked politely,
"sure... there are lounges spread out around the main room take your pick" Nurse Joy said before leaving them to it.
"How about those ones over there" Tai suggested to a cluster of lounges by the far wall away from other people who were coming and going.
"I don't see why not" Izzy said as the group made their way over to where Tai had been pointing.
