Hey guys :)
I'm back!
Don't ask me where I've been
It took me a while to figure out where to go with these lovies!
And also I almost finished writing the birth of the baby, which is literally parts away..
To be continued…
Maeve stayed the night, as usual when they had a weekend ahead of them, when she woke up the next morning she felt completely light. This was good, perfect.
She was still snuggled up in Otis arms, who slept peacefully next to her. It was the first morning since weeks when she woke up and didn't feel nauseous, which surprised her, but she didn't complain tho.
"Thanks bean", she muttered with a very sleepy, raspy voice into her pillow that smelled like him. As she opened her eyes, she saw Otis' face, and it was beautiful.
How bizarre? Otis was never one of the cool kids. He was 'sex kid', with his striped shirts and his old jeans. He never made much out of him, and that's why he was completely invisible to almost everyone. He had friends, sure, but no one ever saw him how Maeve did.
She liked him and couldn't really explain why.
She fell hard, and it was right just like that. She was in love with "Sex Kid" and everyone should see, because she didn't really care what the others think about it.
"Good morning", Otis muttered with eyes still closed, and a voice as deep as the ocean.
"Morning hun'", she hummed back, but snuggled more onto him.
"Yesterday was extraordinary, you know that?", he smiled, stroke over her arm slightly before letting out a deep breath.
"Just because you're so amazingly skilled", she giggled a bit as he laughed out loud.
"Stop, I am not… we just… work good together", he concluded, and leaned over to kiss Maeves mouth deep.
"Hmm, I like that", she hummed against his lips and felt his hand moving up to her breasts.
"And I really like these two", he smiled and gave her left boob a tight, surprising squeeze.
"Ow, shit..", Maeve whispered because it actually hurt a bit. It sometimes happened when she was close to her period, but now this must be the first physical signs of pregnancy besides the nausea.
"Oh, sorry", Otis twitched back and looked at her.
"It's fine. Just… maybe try to touch them softer?", she frowned but pulled him down into a kiss, as he slightly brushed over her nipples which let her belly tickle again.
"Love that", she sighed and got lost in his touch.
"I love you", Otis breathed and kissed her neck.
"OTIS!", a loud yell from downstairs, cut the morning mood rapidity harsh.
"Arrrgh", he growled and moved his head to the door.
"WHAT?", he yelled back, and Maeve just giggled.
"OTIS DARLING?", Jean yelled again because she probably didn't hear him answer. They both heard steps coming closer, and before they could prevent anything, Jean crashed the door opened.
"Otis, are you awake?!", she asked into the room without noticing Maeve. She obviously knew that Maeve was there, but seemed to completely forgotten about it overnight.
"MOM!", Otis almost jumped to catch a blanket to cover with of them, who were still completely naked.
"Oh, Maeve! Oh, sorry, love", she closed her eyes but remained in the door frame.
"What do you want, mom?", Otis hissed.
"Breakfast's ready…", she said and opened her eyes again when she thought they had time enough to cover themselves.
"Thanks…"
"Sorry for interrupting. I hope you used protection!", she smiled and looked around the room.
"Mom!!", Otis buried his face into the pillow.
"You did, right?", Jean, took a suspicious look into the bin next to Otis door.
"Yes! Could you get out now?", he whispered and covered his face.
"Breakfast is waiting for you two", Jean smiled and closed the door behind her again.
As the room remained silent again, Otis took a deep breath.
He had just lied to his mother and felt unbelievably guilty of it, because no, they didn't use protection. When they realized that it was getting serious between them, they both got tested for STD'S and both were clean. Still, they prevented with condoms because pregnancy wasn't on their agenda, but since this happened anyway they decided to skip that part yesterday for the first time.
Otis had to admit that it was completely different and somehow brought them closer together.
"Fuck sake, Milburn.", Maeve looked at him and rolled off of the bed. She had to get dressed before another interruption might happen.
"Sorry, love. I'll talk to her", he nodded knowingly and stood up again.
"You're so beautiful", he noticed as she almost jumped into her panties.
"Thanks dickhead. You're too"
"Is it weird?", he asked as he had walked over to her to close his arms around her still naked waist.
"What?", Maeve smiled, a bit confused.
"I can't wait for everyone to know about it", his hand found her flat belly again.
"I- uh.", Maeve stuttered because of the sudden confidence of him.
"We should really talk this through, right?"
"Probably, but let's have breakf- uhoh", she nodded but felt her stomach drop by the thought of food. It was a great morning so far, but she knew that it would eventually lead to her throwing up at some point.
"Sorry", she managed before stumbling away, almost slipping on the two steps in front of his room. The bathroom door crashed loud as Otis remained in the silent room, but followed her immediately. As he opened the door quickly, he found Maeve sitting in front of the toilet, wiping her mouth and closing her eyes.
"Gosh…", she breathed and reached up to flush.
"Everything's okay?", Otis stepped in, closed the door again and knelt down in front of her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders.
"Obviously not… but it's fine… I guess", she whispered and moved her forehead to his shoulder.
"Morning sickness, right?"
"Urgh, yes. Hate this", her head tilted back just so much that she could wipe away her hair. She looked stunning even in this condition. Otis couldn't help but smile by the look of her. With her big eyes, that kind of watered. With her oversized shirt of him and her hair.
"What!?", she asked, kind of rough.
"You're just beautiful.", Otis shrugged and get up to fill his toothbrush cup with water to hand it to her carefully.
"Here, drink something"
"Thanks, but I am not beauti-"
"Shhh, you are. Want to brush your teeth?"
"Mmmhm", she nodded and tried to get up while swallowing the water.
As she placed the cup on the counter next to Otis, he grabbed her hand.
"I am sorry that you have to go through this"
"It's fine. It actually got better already. Just a week ago I had to puke a hundred times a fucking day, now it's just the mornings."
Her head moved around, as if she had to adjust her neck, before she grabbed her toothbrush from the shelf above the sink.
"I'm going to brush my teeth. You go have breakfast with your mom. I'll be down in a minute"
"I'll make you some tea… black or green?"
"Green. Black made me throw up yesterday", she smiled and ran the water to soak her toothbrush before applying the toothpaste.
Otis gave her shoulder a supportive squeeze and stepped down the stairs.
"Everything's alright, darling? I've heard the doors"
"Oh, yea. Everything's fine. How did you sleep?"
"Oh, good, good. Where's Maeve?", Jean's mouth formed a tiny smirk and Otis noticed.
She knew, he knew that she knew. Obviously. His mother was like a crystal ball. She always knew things way before he did.
"Upstairs. Brushing her teeth. She'll be down in a minute.", he smiled, took the kettle and ran the tap to fill it up. His heart pounded hard and fast as his back faced his mother, because he knew that she would lecture them endlessly.
"I see.", she hummed and grabbed a slice of bread. "Mind is I start?"
"Oh, no, it's alright!", the boy turned on the water and prepared the tea.
For a minute it was deadly silent in the room, just the water started humming as it started boiling.
"Otis, dear. Are you alright?"
"Sure. Why?", his voice trembled, his lungs tightened, and his head started spinning slowly.
"You seem… distracted… want to tell me something?", she demonstratively took her cup to take a zip.
"Ah. No…", he smiled shy as the kettle went off. Thanks god! He thought, took the kettle and poured the tea.
"Otis… please. Sit down for me", Jean pointed at the chair opposite of her, with the mug in her hand.
Otis swallowed hard, as he sat down with Maeves tea in his hand.
"I am only asking this because I am your mother, and I am worried about you…", she started with a strict look. The mug hit the wooden desk and the world stopped spinning.
"Did you impregnate her?", she frowned, as if the seemed to process her words precisely now.
"God. Mom!", Otis sighed silently. His heart a proper mess now and his breath gone.
His cheeks started burning uncomfortably.
"Otis…", Jean sighed too. The atmosphere in the room was so tense that only a knife could have cut it.
"Mom, I— no.", Otis mumbled. His eyes shaking.
"So she's not pregnant then?"
"Uh…", he searched for word but couldn't find any. He couldn't tell her! He couldn't dare to tell her without Maeves permission.
"Mom, she's not", he looked down to his knees and felt like a traitor.
"I am…", Maeves voice echoed through the kitchen like a salvation.
He looked up and saw her standing at the end of the stairs. Looking directly into his eyes. It seemed like an apology, as she stepped closer to him, eyes glued to his.
"Yes, I am pregnant, Jean.", she repeated her word, while she sat down next to Otis. His hands now completely sweaty.
Jean breathed in very sharp.
"Obviously. I figured. Well, what are you guy going to do now?"
"I'm definitely going to keep the baby…", Maeve started as Otis grabbed her hand. It made her smile wide. He was perfect, definitely.
"Mom, we haven't had time to talk it through properly…", Otis stepped in as Jean wanted to talk. "Please, give us time."
The rest of the breakfast remained silent. Maeve drank her tea, swallowed a few bites of toast and watched Otis, who ate with a still embarrassed look on his face.
Later that day, they decided to take a walk in the forest.
They walked side by side, hands linked together.
"So, a Baby, huh?", Maeve sighed after a while.
"Looks like it.", he answered and pointed to a bench next to them, "let's sit down"
They walked a few steps further before sitting down.
Maeve stroke her hair behind her ear and nervously searched for the package of cigarettes in her pocket. How bad she wanted to smoke was unbelievable. She needed it!
"Can you imagine how bad I want to have one of these right now? This scares the living shit out of me Otis!", she held the package under his nose, as he grabbed it and stored it in his pocket.
"No. No cigarettes for you now, love.", he gently took her hand.
"But you can kiss me if that helps"
He smiled as she nodded and gave him a little peck on the lips.
"I know that this is scary, but we're in this together. I'll help you through it, and I'll protect you from everything.", he remained and never let go of her hand. Those beautiful, soft, small hands
"And school? I can't just leave school now."
"Skip a year. I'll be finished by then, you could take care of that… pumpkin… and when I graduated you could go back and finish. Your grades are amazing. I am sure you could complete cope a year off", he suggested with a shimmer in his eyes. Glowing, bright, blue diamonds.
"Yea, probably. But how should I pay for a child if I am full time back at school? Or even after it's born. I need to find a job as long as I can work", she looked into his eyes and felt the panic crawling up.
"No. Maeve, don't worry about the money. I'll get a job after school. I told you that. And I am serious. You could move in with us, I mean, only if you want to.", his voice lowered at the end.
"Your mom probably won't be happy about a crying baby and an annoying stressed out new mom in her house", she answered and swallowed hard.
"Maeve, stop saying that. You're not annoying at all. You're perfect for me and I love you so much! Yes, we have to talk about this with my Mom seriously, but I am sure she would love her grandchild around", Otis squeezed her hand tight.
"God… her 'grandchild'. Sounds crazy. We're going to be parents", her pupils expanded.
"And that's exciting. I know that's scary, but also pretty exciting, right?", Otis smiled wider as he saw how Maeve started to smile just a tiny bit in her mouth corners.
"There you go. Show me that beautiful smile"
"Otis!", Maeve giggled.
"I love you", he whispered.
"I love you too", she answered.
