Donut Friendship – Chapter 27: Donuts and Love
Nezuko was currently in the backroom of the company kitchen, putting on an apron that she borrowed. She was about to teach Kokushibo and her friends everything about making donuts, so that they could also make them. After putting on her apron, she left the backroom and walked to the kitchen, where Kokushibo made a designated area for everyone. Everyone was already waiting, ready to begin.
"You ready?" Kokushibo asked as he glanced at Nezuko
"Yes!" Nezuko said confidently
Kokushibo nodded and looked at the rest.
"Alright, listen up. From here on now, she is your boss. You will follow her instructions and do everything that she tells you. Your goal is to make the same donuts as the Kamado bakery, and failure is not tolerated." Kokushibo explained
"Understood!" said Kaigaku and got ready
"Let's do this!" said Mukago with determination
"Whatever… Let's get this over with." said Rui, as he was still trying to put on his apron
Nezuko chuckled and moved over to help Rui.
Kokushibo nodded and sat down.
"You know what to do. Give it your best." he said…

…and started reading a magazine, to which everyone just stared at him.
"Hm? What is it? My job is to make sure that you don't burn down the kitchen… And I don't feel like standing the whole time." he explained and continued reading
Nezuko nodded and faced the three.
"Ok! I am going to show you how to make donuts! It's very easy, so you just have to follow my lead and everything is going to be fine!" she said
"First step! The dough!" she added

STEP 1
Nezuko told everyone to prepare the ingredients and to get ready to mix them. Everyone had a bowl in front of them, with flour, sugar and milk ready. They were told to put the flour with the sugar into the bowl and add some milk. After that, they were supposed to mix it together and make the dough.
"Mix it just like that!" said Nezuko and showed everyone her bowl
Everyone started mixing and Nezuko noticed some mistakes. She went to each of them and helped them.
"Kaigaku!" she said
"Ehm… yes?" he asked as he mixed the ingredients in the bowl
"You're doing it too slow! You need to mix it faster! Here, I show you!" said Nezuko and moved next to him
"Igh!" he jumped back, surprised
"Hm? Is something wrong?" asked Nezuko as she was standing right next to him
"N-No! Everything is fine! Haha…" he replied awkwardly
Nezuko smiled and took his hand. She moved it and showed him the perfect speed for mixing the dough.
"S-S-She is holding my hand! And our bodies are touching! S-She… is so close to me and she… smells so nice…GULP*" thought Kaigaku as he was blushing
"Like this! See?" Nezuko asked with a smile and let him go
"Y-Yes! Thanks!" he replied and nodded
Nezuko smiled and went to Rui.
"Rui! You're doing it too fast! Look! You're spilling some of it!" said Nezuko, to which Rui slowed down
Nezuko walked up to him, took his hand, the same way she did with Kaigaku. She moved behind him and showed him how to make the dough.
"I have a question." said Rui
"What is it?" asked Nezuko and turned her head… at the same time as Rui
Now, both of their faces were right in front of each other and the two could feel the other one's breath. Rui just stared at her with a plain expression, but Nezuko gulped and blushed.
Seeing the two, Kaigaku gasped surprised.
"IGH! Their faces are so close!" he thought to himself
"What happens if I don't slow down?" Rui asked in a normal voice
"Ehm… you… w-well…" Nezuko mumbled, as she felt Rui's breath on her face
"You spill… it out…" she added and slowly moved her blushing face away
"Oh… ok." Rui replied and continued mixing, without paying any attention to the situation
After letting his hand go and pulling her face away, Nezuko took a deep breath.
"Huh… that was close!" she thought to herself and faced her last friend
"STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE*"
"…"
"STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE*"
"Ehm… Mukago… are you alright? Haha…" Nezuko asked awkwardly as Mukago was staring at her with a death stare
"DID YOU TWO… JUST TOUCH HANDS… AND MOVED YOUR FACES CLOSER TOGETHER…?" Mukago asked
"GULP*" Nezuko gulped, as she remembered that Mukago had a crush on him…

STEP 2
"Alright! Now that we have the dough, we can shape it!" said Nezuko and handed everyone a rolling pin
She moved back to her table and put her dough on the table.
"You roll it over like this, and then you use the donut cutter!" Nezuko explained and showed everyone
"Looks easy." said Kaigaku
"Good! So now, it's your turn!" said Nezuko and handed Kaigaku the donut cutter
"You don't need to use the donut cutter! You can also just use a knife and shape the donuts yourself!" Nezuko added
Kaigaku and Mukago both used the donut cutter and managed to cut the dough pretty evenly. Rui on the other hand…
"Ehm… R-Rui…?" Nezuko asked as she saw his creation
"Yes?" Rui asked and glanced at Nezuko, who was standing next to him
"I know I said that you didn't need to use the donut cutter, but why…" she asked and looked at him
"…why did you cut out one huge donut instead of a few small ones?" Nezuko asked and pointed at his dough, which was one huge donut
Rui looked at her and then at his dough.
"No idea. Though it might look good…" he replied and stared at it
"…" Nezuko just stared at him and his huge donut

STEP 3
"Alright! Now we are going to put them in oil and fry them!" Nezuko explained
Both Mukago and Kaigaku looked at their donuts and nodded. Rui glanced at his big-ass donut and then at the fryer.
"Is it… going to fit…?" Rui asked concerned
"You should have thought about that earlier… dumbass…." Kaigaku murmured to himself
Mukago looked at Rui and spoke up.
"Don't worry Rui! We have a big fryer here! I am sure that it will fit!" Mukago said with a smile
"Alright…" Rui replied as he glanced at her
Mukago put her donuts in her fryer and then moved over to Rui, helping him put his donut into the fryer. Kaigaku put his donuts into his fryer and noticed Nezuko standing behind him.
"Is everything alright? Do you need any help?" Nezuko asked with a smile
"Ah! N-No! Thank you!" he replied and faced her
Nezuko nodded and glanced behind him.
"Ehm… you sure?" she asked
"Huh? What do you mean?" Kaigaku asked and turned around…

…and found out that he didn't turn on the fryer, but instead the stove, that was burning his apron.
"AHHHH!" he screamed as he found out his apron was burned a little bit and still on fire
"YOU IDIOT. I TOLD YOU NOT TO BURN DOWN THE KITCHEN!" yelled Kokushibo as he walked towards him and put out the fire by beating his apron, while Kaigaku was still wearing it
"I am sorry… ugh…" murmured Kaigaku as Kokushibo put out the fire… and beat the crap out of him in the process…

FINAL VERDICT
"And that's basically it!" said Nezuko as she showed everyone her donuts
Kokushibo put his magazine down and walked up to Nezuko, wanting to see the results.
"Show me your results…" he demanded
Everyone just looked at each other and showed him their creations. Seeing them, Nezuko gulped.
"Oh dear…" she said and her smile left her
Kaigaku showed the two his donuts. All of them were black and hard.
"Ehm… they are edible… I think. Haha…" he laughed awkwardly
Kokushibo just stared at him with a murderous expression.
"Eat them." Kokushibo demanded
"HUH?! Are you nuts?! No! I am not suicidal-AAAHHHH!" Kaigaku screamed as he got knocked out by Kokushibo with one punch
Nezuko nodded with a blank expression, and the two moved over to the next one.
"So… uhm… I think… I took them out too soon…" Mukago said as she showed them her donuts, which were still pretty much dough
Kokushibo blinked a few times and moved over to the last one.
"…" Rui didn't say anything, just stared at him
"What did you make?" Kokushibo asked
Rui glanced at the table and pointed at his creation. One huge donut… that looked pretty edible.
"N-Not bad… but next time, try making smaller ones!" Nezuko said with a smile
After looking at it for a few seconds, Kokushibo turned around and faced Nezuko.
"Do you think that you can teach them how to make good donuts in 3 days?" he asked
"…" Nezuko didn't say anything, just stared at him and smiled
"Alright… looks like my job is on the line yet again." Kokushibo replied as he thought about what to do next
