None of them knew any cleaning charms, so they had to remain dirty for the entire train ride. The only thing they could do was clean their faces and wash their hands. Once the train was close to the station, Harri excused herself to change in her compartment where Hedwig was still sleeping. Harri smiled wistfully at having Hedwig back with her. Harri changed into clean robes and Scorgified her face and body and put her wand away back in her holster and let Hedwig out of her cage so that she could go to the owlery and find her place.
As the train stopped, she boarded the train and followed Hagrid voice. Not even pretending to hide her laughter from the surprised gaze that Hagrid gave the dirty students. But not Harri, she looked like the definition of a model student except for the small mischievous spark in her eyes that she couldn't hide when she was happy.
She was the first to reach Hagrid and beamed at him. He smiled at her, and his heart immediately melted, recognizing Lily in her and recognizing her father's gleam. But before he could greet her, he noticed that dirty first years as well as the rest of the school and immediately suspected the only clean student in the lot.
"firs'-years, firs'-years" Hagrid called out in his booming voice attracting the attention of all of the first years. Everyone noticed that she was the only clean student and glared at her. She placed her best innocent face that she had copied from Sirius and smiled at her classmates. Fred and George hooted and patted her head as they passed by, dirtying her clean hair, she smirked at them promising retribution, but she quickly returned to her innocent face.
"No more'n four in a boat!" Hagrid called out. Harri got into a boat with Theo, Hermione, and Bulstrode. Harri smiled at Hermione, and she gave Harri a wary look. Aware that Harri was the one that has set the chocolate frogs on the train. Harri turned to Theo wanting to talk to him a bit more before she was sorted into Gryffindor.
"Would you like me to clean you up?" she motioned to his dirty robes and hair. Smiling at the irony that she was repeating words that meant something different the last time that she had said that to him so many years ago. Theo flushed as bit, understanding that her words could be taken both ways, but he still nodded at Harri. Harri Scorgified his face and hair, as well as his shoes, and part of his robes, not wanting to get to close to his body in case she hugged him out of habit.
"Thank you" he nodded at her. Not grazing her with a small smile, that he used to share with her all the time. Harri nodded at him and offered to do the same to her other companions.
Hermione insisted that she could do it herself, but after failing a couple of time she finally agreed and Harri cleaned her up as well as Bulstrode. They quieted down when Hogwarts came into view and Harri immediately felt the warmth of the castle welcoming her back after such a long time. Harri felt the powerful magic of the Hogwarts and smiled at her first real home. They continued in comfortable silence and Harri played with the giant squid and poked his tentacles to the horror of Hermione and Bulstrode. Theo looked intrigues but he didn't say anything about it.
Hagrid led them to the great doors of Hogwarts with all of the filthy first years following behind him to enter into the warmth of Hogwarts. Harri cleaned her hair and robes once more and stood up straighter.
When McGonagall first looked at the returning students, she almost lost her composure and almost yelled at the Weasley twins, positive that they had something to do with this. But they swore that they didn't plan any of it and were just as much victims as the rest of the student body, leaving out their participation in dancing with the culprit and causing more mayhem on the train. After Snape reluctantly verified that they were telling their version of the truth they were let go. But then she saw the sorry state of the first years, a migraine threatened to appear, and for the second time that day, she almost lost her composure at seeing all but the small group with Harriet Potter clean and presentable. Then she saw that damned puppy dog face on Harriet that she had no reason to know or even be able to imitate that yelled out Sirius black, an expression he had often used on her, and regretfully had worked a couple of times. Then she immediately knew who the culprit was just by that expression. Not wanting to delay the sorting ceremony, she decided to deal with her after all of the students had retuned to her dorms and she spoke in her no-nonsense voice.
"Welcome to Hogwarts, the start of term feast will begin shortly. But before you are seated, you will be sorted into your houses. While you are here, your houses will be like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with your house, eat with your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend your free time in your house common room."
"The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and has produced outstanding witches and wizards…" Harri drained out the information and looked around at her peers, everyone is that same as she remembered them and as she was musing on the little things that she didn't catch the first time around McGonagall lined them up and marched them to the great hall. Harri looked over to the tables and noticed the seventh years at the end of the table closest to the first years and she gave them all a coy smile. Already picking out men that she should be aware of and sorting them in her mind, giving them each a profile.
Some of the seventh year hot blooded males were quick to notice when a witch gave them such an ardent stare, and they were surprised to see that the ardent staring came from the tiny first year shamelessly eyeing them up like a piece of meat and they elbowed the others to stare at the pretty red headed girl that was already eyeing up them up like if they were the feast and still refusing to turn away when she noticed that they had taken notice of her. She gave them a wink and coyly hid behind her hair. McGonagall noticed the antics of Miss Potter and lamented that she took after James and felt a blood vessel ready to pop when she saw Harri gave up on her hiding and put her red hair behind one of her ears and gave them a smirk that promised trouble, and Merlin help her, she did not want to know what type of trouble Harri promised. Some of the seventh-year males actually blushed and were teased by their peers. Some of her classmates noticed her flirting and were quick to blush when they noticed what Harri was up to this time.
McGonagall stood between the men and Harri, and send the males an unamused look that immediately had them turning back in their seats. Harri pouted and looked to see the displease face of McGonagall as they continue up the great hall. Harri turned away and noticed the sorting hat on the stool, and just as soon as she noticed it the hat came to life and started its annual song.
After the song ended, the Hall burst into applause and the sorting began. Everyone went into the same house that they had originally been in and then it was Harri's turn.
"Harriet Potter!" and the Hall broke out in whispers as Harri walked to the stool and sat down and kept repeating over and over in her head like a mantra 'Gryffindor, Gryffindor, Gryffindor' but as soon as the hat was over her head, it hadn't even touched her hair like it at least touched Draco's before exclaiming to the entire Hall
"SLYTHERIN!" Harri stayed their shock and frozen on the stool as well as the professors and student body. That hat wasn't even on her head yet for Merlin's sake! Everyone was also shocked that the hat hadn't even touched her head yet, but she was the first to recover and Harri was not happy. Harri had already made a plan in her head about how she would spend her 7 years in Gryffindor tower, and this completely threw everything down the drain.
"MERLIN'S BLOODY H.I.V POSITIVE SLUTTY INFESTED BALLS" Harri screeched at the top of her lungs causing everyone to jump and snapped them out of their thoughts and looked on shock at the colorful vocabulary of the first-year girl, and some of the Half-bloods and Muggleborn students laughed at her creative insult and payed extra attention to her insults.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!" Harri continued with her rant glaring at the hat with all her might.
"AT LEAST SORT ME PROPERLY, YOU USELESS PIECE OF MUGGLE DUNG!" Harri snatched the hat from McGonagall's hands and her wand snapped into her wand from the holster she had it kept in.
"MAYBE IF I BURN YOU A LITTLE, YOU WILL TAKE THE TIME TO SORT ME, YOU SORRY, USED, POOR EXCUSE OF A DIRTY GONOORRHEA INFESTED BLOODY SON OF A BIT…"
"MISS POTTER!" Professor McGonagall cut her rant before any of the students could learn anymore of Miss Potter's colorful vocabulary. When Professor McGonagall finally had her attention, red in the face and ready to take points from her, the hat finally spoke again.
"You are Slytherin through and through, so once again SLYTHERIN!" before Harri could go on another rant the hat was snatched from her hands and professor Snape led her to his table with a pained face. Now she's stuck in his house and has to deal with his mood swings! Harri grumbled to herself and sat next to Theo. Snape stayed there just in case she tried to make another attempt at the hat. As the sorting finished, the older students still chuckled at her expressions and wrote them down for future use. And before Harri could think any more of it, Dumbledore welcomed them, and the feast began. Snape glared at her and Harri met his unwavering glare with an unamused glance.
"I promise to behave long enough for the feast to be over" he stared at her and finding what he was looking for her, he glared and nodded and headed to his place at the head table.
"Harri reluctantly dug into the feast and ignored the amused and calculating gazes from her house. Harri ate in silence until Pansy decided to grace her with her biting words.
"Nobody wants a filthy foul-mouthed Half-Blood like yourself at this table Potter" Harri laughed at this and dropped her silverware with a clatter causing her half of the table to turn and pay attention to her. Harri turned her cold gaze at the girl, immediately the conversation at her side of the table hushed down to hear what she would say, and everyone turned to her in anticipation to witness the first first-year political fight that would determine their standing in their house.
"Filthy? Have you taken a look at yourself Parkinson?" Harri gestured to her chocolate covered robes.
"Funny enough you mention my blood, considering that your father was a little too eager and kissed my hand in delight and your mother had to greet me."
Pansy didn't seem to notice her slight to he father preferring minors, but the thirds years and older did as well as Theo and Zabini. Many people gasped at the well-kept secret that Matthew had shared with her.
"Don't speak about my parents Potter!" Harri gave her a cruel little laugh and leaned in closer to her across the table where she sat next to Draco.
"You aren't ashamed of them, are you? I mean if I had a father like yours, I would rather stay an orphan then have a father like that." Some people gasped and others held their breaths at that. Harri had acknowledged that she was an orphan and would rather her parents stay dead than have a disgrace of a father.
"Your parents greeted me like an equal, what does that make you? What does that make your parents? Not to mention that I was greeted like an equal by everyone's parents at this table, what does that make everyone else?" Harri derided. Everyone looked pensive by her words, their parents had curtsied to her, kissed her hand, and kissed her cheek during their pleasantries. More people began to listen in, even some people form the Ravenclaw table that were close by and noticed the tension that was building at their neighboring table.
"Wouldn't that mean your parents are so low that they greeted a half blood like me? or would you rather think of me in a high social standing so that your parents' actions aren't so dirty to you?" Harri quirked her head to the side and gave her a mocking smile, not quite done with her yet.
"Your mother looked miserable next to your father, is that the life that is also waiting for you? and arranged marriage to a man that on the best days you dislike? Getting married to a woman that doesn't put out and is always frowning in your presence?" Harri copied Bellatrix baby voice and then returned to her normal voice.
"I get that it's important to continue bloodlines, but with each bloodline that purebloods are forcefully made to marry, each offspring gets significantly weaker.
No one said a thing until Harri spoke again. "Here's some food for thought, it's easier to have children with someone that you actually want to shag" Harri added as an afterthought rather crudely. Harri picked out some Treacle Tart and ate like she had no care in the world.
