Chapter 14

Harri kept laughing hysterically as she made her way to transfiguration without her classmates, letting them make their way on their own for once. She had detention with Snape after dinner, and Harri for once in her life was looking forward to it, wondering what he was going to make her do. When Harri arrived at the classroom, she saw a single tabby cat sitting in the middle of the small podium at the front of the classroom. Harri sat herself at the front of the classroom staring at McGonagall in her cat form. Becoming an animagas was something that she had always wanted to try to do in her first life, but never got around to doing. Harri decided to add that to the list of things she wants to do in this second chance of life. Afterwards, Hermione entered the classroom and sat at the very front at the opposite side of the classroom on the Gryffindor side.

Hermione noticed that she wasn't the first one there and send Harri an unimpressed look when Harri smirked at her and waved at her.

"Really? Romeo and Juliet?" Hermione questioned. Harri laughed at her comment and nodded at her amusingly and before Harri could say anything Hermione added,

"I always took you more of a Hamlet or Othello type." Harri snorted and asked,

"Do you think that I'm the anti-hero type and will have a hand in my own demise?" Hermione scrunched her face in concentration and nodded at her,

"You certainly aren't a Juliet type, more of a Richard the 3rd type" and at this Harri cackled.

"You think I go around causing trouble just for my own amusement?" Harri smiled at her in amusement. Hermione was certainty cleverer than she had realized when she was originally 11 years old.

"Yes" Hermione deadpanned. Harri smiled at her innocently, the same damned Sirius smile that unnerved her professors.

"Wouldn't I have to lose everything I care for first to be the tragic Hero?" Harri asked, already knowing the answer.

"Well yes…" Harri interrupted her.

"Then I'm not a tragic Hero, I can't lose any more than I already have" Harri regretted saying that immediately when she noticed Hermione's crestfallen face at the mention of her dead parents. Harri decided to change the subject to something lighter.

"We should do this more often Hermione, just talking about anything, and discussing muggle literature. It's nice to have someone to talk to about these things" Harri opened up to her, wanting to establish that she wanted to be friends with her. Hermione's breath quickened and she nodded timidly and hurriedly, happy that she had found a friend similar to her.

Well, thought Hermione, more like the same interests. Harri was outgoing unlike her and seemed to make friends much easier and Harri never followed the rules and always managed to weasel her way out of trouble with her charisma, going as far as kissing a fifth-year boy in front of the entire school!

"We can meet in the library?" Hermione hastily recommended, wanting to assure that Harri wouldn't change her mind.

Harri nodded and then said, "We could meet in the library for homework and leisure reading, and also take walks around the grounds just to talk about anything, you're more than a study partner Hermione!" Hermione blushed, happy that Harri wasn't just using her to do her homework. "You're going to be my partner in crime!" Harri exclaimed and Hermione immediately gasped and refused.

Seeing the two younger witches, McGonagall was fondly reminded of Remus Lupin and James Potter. James always roping poor innocent Remus into the marauder's schemes. Not knowing the Remus was often the brain to all of their operations.

Hermione looked horrified and Harri just chuckled at her expression and said, "I'll make a rebel out of you yet." Hermione immediately refused to get roped into her schemes.

"Absolutely not! I refuse to take any part of this!"

"We won't get caught Hermione." Harri shrugged casually.

"You have always gotten caught Harriet." Hermione pointed out.

"Call me Harri, and I have only gotten caught because I wanted to get caught." Still, Hermione was not having it and went on a rampage.

"If we get caught, we will get expelled!" Harri laughed at the similarity to her original Hermione.

"They won't expel you for that, if they did, Fred and George would have been long gone by now." Hermione thought about that and still vehemently refused.

"That doesn't mean you have to break the rules, the rules are there for a reason!"

"Stupid rules were made to be broken." Harri replied back and before Hermione could respond the Gryffindor's made their presence known.

The Gryffindor's took their seats meanwhile Dean was arguing with Ron and Seamus about football and Neville looked a little nervous to be in the classroom. The Gryffindor's noticed that Harri was the only Slytherin in the classroom and they smirked at her thinking that they had the edge without a known professor in the classroom. Ron came forward and spoke cockily at her.

"Where are the other Snakes, Potter?" Harri gave him an indulgent smile and shrugged.

"All lost without me, I reckon." Ron not expecting this answer was put out for not getting a rise of her and her tried again.

"Doesn't surprise me really…" and Harri cut him off before he could continue.

"Ron, do you hate me?" Purposefully using his first name to gain familiarity with him. Ron blanched and the rest of the Gryffindor's paid closer attention to Ron, including Lavender and Parvati, hoping to see a romantic love story and infighting with the Weasley brothers.

"Wha'?" Ron spluttered.

"Do you hate me?" Harri repeated back. Ron went tomato red and stuttered,

"you're mental" Harri grinned at Ron.

"Maybe that's why your brothers like me so much, they always come back looking for me" Harri implied.

Ron realized what she meant, and he argued with her, "My brothers would never get involved with a first year" Harri laughed at this and mused,

"Maybe not, but what about in our fifth year?" Ron looked at her even more scared.

"They wouldn't dare!"

"And why not?" Harri questioned.

"Because you're a Slytherin!" she smiled at his childish logic and then nodded.

"That's why they took me away from my table when I was minding my own business right?" Ron realized that she was right and shook his head.

"My parents would never allow any of my brothers to go out with you!" Harri eyed Ron up and down before answering him,

"Sure, they will, your mom defended me in the Howler, and thinks of me as an innocent girl."

"That was before your sorting" Ron shot back.

"A bloody sorting hat that was too lazy to do its job properly" Harri continued with ease.

"You speak to snakes! You're meant to be in that house, the house for dark witches like you!" Harri laughed a charming smile, catching the attention of the other Gryffindor boys, making her look so much like Lily Evans.

"Your grandmother was in Slytherin Ron, Cedrella Black." Harri gave him a crooked smile. "Not only was she in Slytherin, but she was also a Black. One of the darkest families in England. What right do you have to preach about dark witches?" Ron was left speechless, and everyone was shocked that a Muggle-raised witch like Harriet Potter would know any genealogy. Harri nodded at Ron so that he could counter her with anything, but her had nothing to say to that. He can't speak ill of his late grandmother that never showed nor acted like she was an evil snake. Harri nodded at him, and before turning away to pay attention to the front of the class she gave him a wry smile,

"If I do decide to go after any of your brothers, judge me because of me and not because of my house" Harri stated. Knowing that he would still be appalled to find who she really is.

The doors to the class were about to close when the other Slytherin students came speed walking in, not wanting to look like common witches and wizards and run like peasants. All of her classmates turned to stare at Harri in disbelief and some in betrayal for not waiting for them at the great hall to lead them to the classroom. Harri stared at the girls in the eyes to pick up any signs that they might remember something. None of the looked afraid of Harri, but Pansy did avoid Harri altogether because of a horrid nightmare that involved the flaming red headed girl. Millicent sat next to Harri without hesitation, Harri was happy to note.

The doors to the classroom closed with a snap and everyone took their seats and McGonagall reverted to her human form, getting surprised astonishment from her students. Harri politely clapped and took out her writing utensils. Harri took more notes in a muggle notebook with her pen so that she could write faster. That day, they continued to practice turning matches into needles. Harri read her erotica after helping Millicent and proving to McGonagall that she could transfigure multiple needles at the same time. McGonagall nodded approvingly and gave her 5 points for her achievement.

Afterwards, having Harri leave early because she was done with her assigned homework and finished the assignment, Harri headed to her first DADA class with Quirrell.

The classroom smelled like Garlic and herbal fumes. Harri put her occlumency barriers up and sat at the front of the classroom, leaving her alone with her thought until Quirrell came out and noticed the young first year Slytherin. He immediately put his bumbling fool act and greeted her.

"Why Mi-Mi-Miss Po-Potter, nice to-to-to se-see you so-so early" Harri nodded at him, already tired of his fake stutter.

"Likewise, Professor." Harri took out her erotica and pretended to read, keeping her professor in view just in case he tried anything. Quirrell kept her in his view as well and continued setting up for class.

When it was time for class to start, the Gryffindor's sat at their side of the table, and the Slytherins made it on time this time, gathering that Harri will no longer serve as a personal guide. The class started and they never once picked up their wands to practice their magic. The class was as much as a joke as she remembered, but she continued writing down notes, and jotting down interesting spells that Quirrell sometimes mentioned.

Not long after, Harri was the first to leave and went to History of Magic and didn't even bother paying attention to Binns. Harri sat at the back this time, and time passed by quickly when she read her novel and sometimes when the story got too spicy, she would sneak a peek at Theo from the corner of her eye and stare into nothing meanwhile she daydreamed and returned to reading again only to do it all over again. The students noticed that the class was a joke and they also started to look for their own entertainment. Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle spend their time making origami and learning how to enchant them. Meanwhile, Pansy read Witch Weekly, and Daphne and Tracy looked at a robes catalogue. Millicent kept quiet and looked ahead, not bothering to hide that she was reading a quidditch magazine with handsome blokes on the cover. Harri snorted and Millicent looked over to see Harri rating the blokes on the page she was on. Millicent blushed at being caught but Harri didn't condemn her or anything and kept staring at her magazine. Millicent put the magazine in the middle of both of them and together they wrote made up characteristics on each player,.

'Sleeps with his teddy at night'-H

'Is afraid of spiders'-M

'Has an extra toe on his chest'-H

'Has a secret affair with the seeker of the Chudley Cannons'-M

Each one getting more outlandish and having them go into a fit of giggles. After class ended, Harri had the rest of the day off. Harri went to lunch with Millicent and then separated from her to go get the Diadem. Harri walked to the room of requirement and walked back and forth three times thinking of a room to hide things. A door opened and Harri hastily entered and closed the door.

It took Harri more than thirty minutes to find the diadem, having trouble looking over treasure troves with her tiny body. But when she did find the diadem, Harri felt the diadem react to the horcrux inside of her wanting to join its soul and be one. She quickly put it away in her pouch and noticing a nearby good broom also took that as well and stuffed it in her pouch before turning around and leaving to her dorm room where she would leave the horcrux in her trunk.
