Zabuza tossed Taiga on his butt, causing the boy to wince in pain. The bandaged shinobi regarded Taiga for a few seconds before speaking. "You might have fooled them all, but you can't fool me."

Taiga flinched, "what are you on ab-"

Zabuza placed his ninjato's tip against Taiga's neck, causing the boy to stiffen up. "You act a little too mature to just barely not be a toddler. You're also a little too bold for your own good. You might be a Kaguya, but even the pureblooded brat is mourning his family, you don't seem to be doing much of anything like that."

"Different people hav-"

"Don't spout some philosophical crap either, kid…" Zabuza said the last word with a sneer. "You sound more like someone with a good bit of life experience, too much for your physical appearance."

"Do you think I'm in a disguising jutsu?" Taiga asked, "wouldn't it have been dispelled by now? Can't you sense my chakra?"

Zabuza smirked, "all of these are valid excuses, they all make sense, and any 'rational' ninja would realize that they were being overly cautious doing this to a child who by appearance, smell, weight, sound, sight, and chakra sensing, is simply a child." He leaned towards Taiga. "I'm not a rational shinobi, so let's play a game."

"...What?" Taiga asked in confusion."

"I'll ask questions, and you'll answer them. If your answers dissatisfy me, I'll take a finger."

"Y-" Steel flashed, interrupting Taiga. He felt a cold pinching sensation, almost feeling like when scissors cut his hair right next to his ears and on his scalp. He looked down at his left hand, eyes widening as he stared at his missing index ring finger. Before he could scream, Zabuza covered his mouth. The mist began to creep in around them.

"Before you say anything, you better remember, any peep I hear from you that isn't you answering a question I ask and I'll kill you." Zabuza's eyes gleamed with killing intent, causing the boy to tremble in fear, but he hardened himself. He didn't know what would happen if he revealed the truth to the mist swordsman

Taiga glared at Zabuza, in the spur of the moment he opened his mouth to bite down on the shinobi's fingers. Zabuza snapped his fingers back, smacking the boy to the side. "You're going to answer my questions now."

2 minutes later and with all his fingers and toes gone, Taiga curled over as he began bleeding to death.

"Well, that was easy," Zabuza smirked as he raised his blade

"Easy…" Taiga whimpered out, "I, didn't… tell you a thing you motherfucking bitchass-"

The mist cleared away.

Taiga widened his eyes, looking around in confusion, they were still in the middle of the forest, but the mists were not nearly as thick. He looked at his hands, he had all his fingers. He was standing, instead of sitting on his ass, and Zabuza was standing before him, a hand in the dog seal.

"...Genjutsu…" Taiga's face blanched.

Zabuza laughed, "you're quite quick-witted… Hector." Zabuza said the word oddly, a little like he was pronouncing a foreign or unfamiliar word. Taiga got into a combative stance. Zabuza laughed at the boy, "oh please, calm down, if I was going to kill you, you'd not be here right now. Besides, why would I kill such a valuable source of information?" He turned to return to the camp. "I've received my payment of information, so I'll escort you and your friends alongside that electric dumbass. I'll even set my sights on Haku."

Taiga looked on in confusion, standing alone for a few seconds. "What?"

"You heard me, dumbass, I put you in a genjutsu, you sang like a canary." He frowned, "I don't necessarily believe everything I got out of you, but I also know you are not lying, at least, you don't believe you are lying." He shook his head, "knowing that that bastard Gato will eventually betray me is extremely valuable information, and knowing when he plans to do it… well." He laughed.

During the Genjutsu

Zabuza stared at the boy, whose eyes glazed over. If there was a time to put him under a genjutsu, it would be now, while everyone was exhausted. When he had grabbed the child from Raiga's care, the other shinobi barely glanced at him, proving that while he was hired to protect Taiga's physical well-being, he cared little for the boy's emotional or mental health. After some threatening gestures, and by using the mist around the boy, he was able to perfectly hold the child in a genjutsu. By the look of things, the child was struggling with all his might. Eventually, however, the expression on his face relaxed, meaning he had finally succumbed either to the wounds or to the intense question Zabuza threw at him in the illusion.

"What is your name?" Zabuza began.

"Taiga Gobetsu-Kaguya." Taiga replied.

"Is that all your name?" Zabuza asked.

"It is the name that my mother evidently gave me when I was born here, it's the name everyone calls me, it's the name I choose to keep."

Zabuza raised an eyebrow. "The name you choose to keep, so you have another name?"

"Yes, another name, from before I was born here and regained my memories."

"Regained you- never mind, before that, what is your name?"

"Hector Rodriguez."

Zabuza wracked his brain, thinking of any clans with such a name. He remembered a folk tale about a supposed mystical clan known as the Ryu Clan of Mount Koryu, but that name wasn't anywhere near similar enough to this name. Then there was the interesting fact that the boy often defaulted to speaking someone's given name then family name, as opposed to the standard of a family name then given name. The boy, for all intents and purposes, seemed to be a foreigner of some sort, yet also was the biological child of the Kaguya clan, raised by them even. He would need to ask more questions. "You said regained your memories, correct? Tell me more about that."

"I regained my memories from the time I was on Earth."

Zabuza snorted, "this is Earth we're on kid, you're standing on it."

"A different Earth, one without Chakra or Jutsus or bijuu or jinchuriki or ninjas who're more like wizards."

Zabuza narrowed his eyes, "You're claiming you come from another Planet Earth? What are you, some sort of alien?"

"I am not an alien, I'm a reality-hopper."

Zabuza laughed, those were outrageous claims from an even more outrageous-looking child. "Okay then… reincarnation, you say you have the information I'd want, what pray to tell were you going to tell me?"

"That the Forth Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi, is under the genjutsu, or at least under the influence of a shinobi who goes by the name Tobi, a member of the Akatsuki."

"The Akatsuki?" Zabuza laughed, "well… that's interesting news." He knew of their existence, a group of supposed freedom fighters from the Rain Village who ended up allying with Hazo to protect their land after it was ravaged by the 3rd great Ninja War, only to get betrayed, ending in their deaths and disappearances. After that, Hanzo closed up his nation, and not a peep was heard, either in or out. The fact that such a group was still alive and decided to reach their fangs into Kiri was outlandish. But the fact the boy knew about the name of a group that only ninjas of Jonin rank or clan elder rank and beyond would know of played into the veracity of his claims in a strange way. He was either lying, insane, or telling the truth.

"So… what purpose would the Akatsuki have to manipulate Kiri?"

"I don't fully understand." Hector shrugged, "It was never really elaborated into deeply, but I remember mention of the idea that the villages would be weakened by the Akatsuki to cripple them. Weakening the land by getting rid of bloodlines would be a simple way, by my reckoning, to weaken a village, it also makes everyone hate Yakura, meaning when they attack and kidnap him, there won't be much of a fuss to rescue him or find out where he is, even if he is the Jinchuriki of Isobu."

Zabuza raised an eye, taking out his sword. Only a few people were privy to the knowledge that their Fourth Mizukage was a Jinchuriki. "Isobu, being…"

"The three-tailed bijuu," Hector replied. "You're a little slow on the uptake, pendejo. I mean, you know that yourself, don't you?" He pointed at Zabuza. "You'd be using the Kubikiribōchō if not for Juzo Biwa stealing it when he deserted. It's because so many of your predecessors lost their lives in the attack on the Leaf. Both Juzo and… wait, does he do that yet?"

Zabuza was beginning to worry, this child knew too much information, information that he would normally kill someone for knowing. "Does who do what yet?" He asked, gritting his teeth underneath his mask like bandage wrappings.

"Kisame Hoshigaki, he's a member of the Akatsuki as well." Taiga put a finger to his chin, "I vaguely remember something about him having to kill cipher agents to stop them from leaking intel to Konoha's interrogation department, then having to kill your leader, Fuguki."

'So that's where that bastard slithered off…' Zabuza sighed, Kisama had been distant since the death of Fuguki, and while he had supposedly been a part of the resistance, he often left as soon as the meetings ended. He would ask the child where he learned all this information, and depending on the answer, he'd kill him. But first, "Knowing that there is someone behind the 4th Mizukage's actions does not change my goal to overthrow him."

"Your plan fails."

Zabuza paused, "what!?"

"You're going to set up a coup against Yagura, you will fail. Because one of your soldiers will betray you. You and Haku will barely escape with your lives and will lay low for a while, building up fame and money as a missing Nin. Then you end up getting betrayed by Gato when he hires you to get rid of a bridge builder in Wave Country." Taiga was frowning, "but… those are spoilers…"

Zabuza felt a chill run up his spine. "You can see the future?! Who betrayed me?"

"No," Taiga responded. "Unfortunately… CANNOT SEE THE FUTURE~" The older ninja winced at the singsong voice that left the boy's throat. "And I don't know who betrays you."

"Where did you learn this information?"

"From… Masashi Kishimoto."

"Who the hell is Kishimoto? Where is he?"

"I don't know pendejo, somewhere on Earth, in Japan, or some shit." Taiga's eyes began to clear themselves.

"Did I not add enough chakra?" Zabuza wondered aloud. Adding more chakra. "You said Haku and I escaped together." Taiga's demeanor became normalized.

"Originally, you would have met Haku first after he killed his father. You'd recruit him to train up a powerful weapon. Eventually, you get betrayed and fail to Assassinate Yagura and become a missing Nin. You take Gato's job to kill the bridge builder, Tazuna, about 7ish or more years later. Then you are stopped because the one they hired for your escort was a team of Genin, led by their Jonin sensei Kakashi Hatake."

Zabuza laughed, "I die to the copycat ninja?" He grits his teeth, "don't fuck with me." He brought his blade to the boy's throat. "You're just screwing with me at this point."

"You have me in the genjutsu pendejo, I couldn't lie if I wanted to. In fact, asshat, I'm annoyed with you, you fucking tall-ass no-teeth-having sadistic selfish stupid son of a bitch." The boy's eyes were still glazed over, but his monotone voice was slightly agitated. "I swear to god you're such a puta, estúpido. Hombre estúpido, Dios mio lo odio."

"What the hell are you saying?"

"Español, pendejo, eres tonto?" Taiga continued cursing in Spanish, though to the Jonin before him, it sounded like unintelligible gibberish. Unable to get any more from him, Zabuza ended the genjutsu.

Taiga glared at the back of the Shinobi's head with enough intensity that he was surprised the man hadn't spontaneously combusted. Zabuza for his part started humming a little ditty, an act that sent shivers down the boy's spine.

'How much does he know?' Taiga wondered to himself. If the shinobi knew everything, it would be extremely dangerous, just because Zabuza knew that he was betrayed wouldn't mean he'd be able to find out who did it. Nor did he know whether or not the man would make the choices that would lead to the least amount of deaths. Just because Zabuza knew say… of Madara Uchiha, didn't mean he'd have the power, patience, or resources to deal with him. This wasn't even counting the fact that two other people from Hector's Earth were probably somewhere in this world. 'Unless they're dead', he thought, 'Like I'll be if I'm not careful.'

Zabuza for his part ignored Taiga's obvious gaze when the two re-entered the clearing, Kimimaro and Haku were still awake. Raiga was seemingly asleep on a makeshift hammock, legs crossed and head guard loosened and placed over his eyes.

"You two look miserable." Taiga smiled wearily. "Didn't that masked asshole tell you to go to bed?"

"We couldn't just leave you to die," Haku said.

"I told them that prick wouldn't kill you," Raiga said, lifting his bandana from his eyes. "These two brats couldn't leave it well enough alone and sleep."

Zabuza looked at the two, "I told you two to sleep. If you want to make it to the ferry on time, you're going to sleep, now."

The next day.

The most annoying part of the Land of Water, in Taiga's opinion, was the fact that it was composed of several islands. This drastically slowed down their ability to make it from island to island, in many ways Taiga was lucky that the island the Yuki clan primarily situated themselves on was close to the capital of Kiri, where the Kaguya clan resided and where Kirigakure.

"So… where is our final destination?" Raiga asked.

Taiga stared at the Shinobi. "Wait, don't you know? We're finding a ferry to Tea Country!"

"And what island would you find that on?" Zabuza asked, smiling.

"I… I don't fucking know?" Taiga shouted, "that's why I had that guy escort us!" He pointed at Raiga, "aren't you a jonin? How do you not know where someone could hitch a boat ride out of the country?"

"Forgive him, he's an idiot." Zabuza pointed at an island near the south of the Land of Waters' borders. "Here, there's a major port town in that area." He looked at the children, "if we are lucky we will get there before the Daimyo shuts down the ports. And you'll be on a ferry to Dagarashi Port." He pointed to a small point in the middle of Tea Country. "Now… before we continue." He looked at Taiga. "Why are you heading to Tea Country? Why do you want the other children to come with you?"

Taiga frowned, 'Did he not get that information from me using genjutsu? Or… is he testing me?' Taiga couldn't read the jonin's expression. "I simply want to escape the bloodline purges, I don't know what we'd do in tea country, but its only close neighbor is unlikely to invade it, so we at least have a chance."

Zabuza smirked. "Sure… whatever you say."
