Forever

Author's Note: Hello! Welcome to my first Zoicite and Sailor Venus fanfiction! This takes place right after Aino Minako's death (sob!) in Act 47, because I believe in happy endings. So, read, review, and enjoy.

Minako's Point of View

As I slowly walk towards the enveloping white light, my thoughts wander. The Princess... Mars, and the others...was my letter enough? Did it tell them my unexplainable grief? I never could fulfill the mission from the past life, even though I tried so hard. Princess, you never knew what an indescribable friend you were to me. I grew to love you, not just as my princess, but as you, Usagi. And Rei.. To me, you were my best friend. You and I argued, but you still helped me through so much. Ami, Makoto... you were my strength, the ones I knew I could rely on. And Artemis... words cannot describe how important you meant to me. No, still mean to me. You were like my right hand.

I keep on going, unknowingly quickening my stride. As sad as I am, I begin to feel excited. I hope, I pray, that somewhere beyond this blinding light, someone will be waiting, waiting to embrace me once more...

As I near my destination, my feet begin to slow down. My heart sinks, and my palms sweat. I shiver. It was silly. Silly to think he'd be here...

Suddenly, my heart lightens, for I just noticed him up ahead. I could not see him at first, due to his silver hair and uniform.

"Zoicite!" I cry in excitement. Though surprised at my own glee, I can't help but shake with anticipation.

He turns slowly. So extremely slowly it's aggravating. His silvery eyes sparkle with... what is it? Happiness? He lifts his white gloved hand, as if beckoning me forward. "Venus..." he shakes his head. "No...Minako."

Tears of happiness spring from my eyes as I fly to his open arms. "Oh, Zoicite!!"

He tightly wraps his arms around me, tenderly embracing me. "It's been a long time," he whispers.

"Too long." I agree.

"I'm sorry that you had to leave them before your time," he sadly whispers into my hair.

"It's all right." I look up at him.

He leans over and kisses me. It is all right. No longer tied by the obligation to our masters, we are finally together...forever.

The End
