A/N: This is not The Tales of version of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods or Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, but rather The Tales of version of a book I got of Greek and Roman Mythology I got in Rome Italy. The settings will be after 'The Tales of the Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus' so please read that before getting in this story. Think of this story as something to pass by until The Trials of Apollo books.
Amycus
Bigger doesn't always mean better, and Amycus is proof of that.
Amycus was a giant, a son of Poseidon and king of the Bebryces in Bithynia. Savage by nature, he used to force strangers to box with him. He invariably killed his opponents.
When the Argonauts landed in his country, Amycus challenged them to a fight. It was Pollux-brother of Hellen of Troy-who took up the challenge. Despite having the height advantage as well as brute strength, Amycus was defeated by the skill and suppleness of Pollux.
In Apollonius Rhodius, Amycus was killed, but in Tneocritus he was knocked out, and Pollux was satisfied with making the giant promise that he would refrain from harming strangers in the future.
It just shows greatness comes in all sizes and strength. Especially when there were stronger heroes among the argonauts who could have fought Amycus.
Next is one of the Danaids who left for Argos and ended up bringing water back to the place.
