Hey all- thought I'd post something different, since I can't get to 'Dandelions' at the moment. Just a little songfic starring a certain Haruka-sama. A little note before beginning- this is partly based on an old role-play I used to participate in. It would still be going, but I can't ever catch the others in the group anymore. Reviews are welcome, as always, especially if you think I'm portraying Haruka wrong. Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon, or 'Here Without You' by 3 Doors Down. If I did, you think I'd be working for an airport concessions company?

Here Without You

A hundred days have made me older since the last time that I saw your pretty face, A thousand lies have made me colder and I don't think I can look at this the same..

Haruka sat in a window in her apartment, lit up by the last dying rays of sunlight. Her head bent down, she stared at a photo in her hands, a photo of Michiru taken not long before she left. How long ago was that? Haruka couldn't even begin to remember anymore- a long time she knew.

She had tried to move on, mind you. Not that anything worked. You just can't forget about your soulmate. Haruka had even begun to love another, but then Haruka had to leave her for awhile and when she returned her new love had married another. She'd turn to Hotaru for comfort, but she was living with her father now and never had time for her old Haruka-papa anymore.

But all the miles that separate disappear now that I'm dreaming of your face. I'm here without you baby, but you're still on my lonely mind, I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time..

Once Haruka had called Michiru's old number, just to see if she was still there. A stranger picked up the phone and hung up on Haruka. All she wanted to know was how Michiru was doing, what she'd been up to, that sort of thing. But nobody could tell her. Not even her usual racing could clear her mind of that aqua-haired goddess.

Everywhere I go, and everything I know, it gets hard but it won't take away my love, and when the last one falls, when it's all said and done, it gets hard but it won't take away my love

As Haruka lay in bed that night, she thought about the latest rumor she'd heard about Michiru- that she'd gotten married to a nice man a few towns over- and just stared out into the surrounding darkness. Of course it wasn't true- how could it be true? Michiru would surely come back to her someday, once she was through with whatever reason she had for leaving. She'd be back, wouldn't she?

I'm here without you baby, but you're still with me in my dreams, and tonight girl it's only you and me...

Wouldn't she?
