The young woman walked into the bar, letting her red eyes wander
around until her eyes landed on her target, a young Spike Speigal. She
pushed her black hair behind her ears and sat at the bar table,
ordering a vodka. She pulled up her black top which covered more of
her partly-covered dragon tattoo. She smiled and took a sip.
"Target in sight." She whispered into nothing, so it seemed, as
she tapped the butterfly broach that was attached to her shirt. "I'm
gonna approach him."
"No--he'll come. He can't resist a pretty face." The rich
baritone male voice whispered from the broach. The woman nodded and
pulled out a cigarette. A few seconds passed, and a flame lit the
cigarette, only it was not the woman's lighter that lit it. She turned
her head.
"Thought you might need a light." The brown-haird Spike looked
at the woman carefully. The woman's lips curled into a smile.
"Thank you. Would you like to have a seat, Mr....?"
"Call me Spike." He replied, sitting on a bar stool and ordering
a beer.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Spike. I'm Ivie." (Pronounced eye-
vee) She held her hand out for a shake but instead, got a kiss on her
wrist. She blushed. "Are you always this forward with girls you've
just met?" Spike smiled.
"Only if they're beautiful." Ivie's blush reddened and Spike's
smile turned into a smirk.
"So, why are you here; at this club? You seem like the type to
be at a club or something like that."
"Me? I'm lookin' for a bounty."
"Ah, a bounty hunter." Ivie nodded and looked around. "If you're
lookin' for Yokonama, he left. I just talked to him a short while ago,
before you came in." Spike's eyes widened.
"The one worth five million Woolong!?"
"Cha..."
"You hang out with criminals like that?" Ivie shrugged.
"Not really. I just kinda meet them as I go along; but if I had
known that Yokonama was worth five million; I would've captured him
myself!" She said with a giggle. Spike gave a weak smile.
"Do you know where he's headed?" Ivie blinked a few times.
"I can't say. It was a promise not to tell." She smiled and
Spike blinked.
"How about....If you tell me; I'll capture him and we can have a
romantic night with the money...?"
"Hmmm....." Ivie thought about it for a minute. "I think he's
headed to Mercury, but I can't be sure..." Spike stood and kissed her
cheek.
"Thanks." He headed for the door when Ivie turned to him.
"Wait; what about our date?..."
"I'll come to you." Spike replied as he smiled and walked out
the door.
"You sure will, Spike Speigal, you sure will."
