There was silence for a couple of moments, before Miyuki and Hikaru shared a glance. "What do you think, Hikaru?" The one-eyed girl had begun thinking of a plan, but didn't know who their next opponent would be. She figured they needed to start planning now so they had an advantage.

Miyuki observed Hikaru mull over his thoughts, before he spoke. "We should probably investigate to see if MetalGreymon Alterous had a hideout. If he did, we can search it for anything he left behind. Like notes or whatever."

Miyuki nodded. "Good idea." She paused to look at her Digimon. "Are you okay, Dracomon?" Miyuki noticed that he was oddly quiet and was fidgeting for some reason. Why was he so quiet? What was wrong?

Dracomon hesitated, before swallowing. "… He was my teacher."

"Who?" Miyuki asked, confused by the comment.

"MetalGreymon Alterous was my teacher. I was his student."

Well, that was a thing. Miyuki stared at Dracomon in shock, before her eye moved to Hikaru. She saw that he was just as surprised. "I was not expecting that. That's definitely news to me." Miyuki honestly couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Dracomon launched into a tale of various stories that told of the relationship between MetalGreymon and himself. From what Dracomon was saying, the Perfect level was quite a benevolent Digimon, always helping others in need. Miyuki was brought to tears from her Digimon partner's stories. She glanced at Hikaru and saw he was shaking from repressed crying.

It took Miyuki a little bit to regain her composure, but she finally managed to wipe her eye free from tears. She sniffled once before seeing that Hikaru had stopped crying as well and then Plotmon spoke up.

"What do you recommend we do now?"

Miyuki exhaled. "We go hunting for MetalGreymon Alterous' hideout. If we can find that, we can find if he left anything behind."

Hikaru nodded. "Sounds like a plan." Pausing for a moment, he then continued. "Where do you think we could look though?"

"He was a tall, muscular Digimon, so probably somewhere tall." Dracomon piped up, thinking on possible areas. Then he had an idea, Miyuki noticed. "Oh! What about Tokyo Tower? It's a tall landmark, so my mentor's hideout could be there."

Miyuki's eye widened and she turned to Hikaru, as a triumphant noise came from her mouth. This could be what they were looking for. "Hikaru, let's try there." An odd kind of giggle came from her mouth, which caused Hikaru to give her a look.

"Are you alright, Miyuki?" She heard him ask, as she watched his face.

Miyuki nodded. "Never better. Just excited that we're finally getting somewhere in this damn mission that we never even asked for."

Hikaru sighed and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that's true. Still, it's on our shoulders now. So we have to complete it. Being chosen be damned. No offence to our partners, of course."

Dracomon didn't say anything, but Plotmon let out a wordless exclamation.

"What, Plotmon? I said no offence to you guys." Miyuki listened to Hikaru try to explain to his partner.

Miyuki mentally facepalmed and settled for just shaking her head at her friend, before Plotmon X went off on her Chosen.

"Doesn't matter!" She snapped back. "You insulted us regardless. Apologize."

She watched Hikaru sigh and take his time for a few moments, as if wondering whether to really apologize or not. Miyuki observed as Plotmon seemed to sense his reluctance and bit his ankle to force an apology out of him.

"I said apologize!" Plotmon barked, keeping her teeth near Hikaru's foot. Miyuki had to clamp a hand over her mouth to not laugh, but the muffled sound was still heard. Hikaru simply looked at her and exhaled, knowing he had been beaten through actions.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry, Plotmon. I really did not mean to offend you at all."

Plotmon X gave him a hard stare, Miyuki noticed, as if the Child Digimon was determining if the apology held up in her eyes. Finally, Plotmon simply nodded her head and looked away from Hikaru, seeming satisfied with her partner's words.

Bringing her hand away from her mouth, Miyuki spoke. "You won't want to do that again. Just because our partners are Chosen Digimon doesn't mean they have to forgive what we do every time."

"I know. Don't rub it in, Miyuki. I said sorry." Hikaru replied, his shoulders slumping.

Miyuki placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's all good."

With the apology done and out of the way, Miyuki glanced out the window. It was time they headed out to try and find MetalGreymon Alterous' hideout, or it would be sundown before they even started looking.

"Let's go. The sun won't wait for us, after all." She commented quietly.

"You're right." Hikaru replied and got up off the sofa he had seated himself on. He grabbed a spare water bottle from the fridge and started heading out the door, with Plotmon X following him.

Miyuki and Dracomon trailed after them, her stride confident. She wasn't sure what they would find, but hoped the Perfect had left something behind that they could use against Vamdemon's generals.

On their way to Tokyo Tower, Miyuki discussed stuff with Hikaru and their partners. "It was a good choice that we decided to come straight to the tower. We would've wasted our time otherwise."

Hikaru nodded, slow. "Agreed. That would have been pointless in the long run." He asked Miyuki what she was hoping for when their mission wrapped up after Vamdemon was defeated.

Miyuki thought for a moment. "I don't know what kinds of stuff Vamdemon had Alterous do, but ideally I'm hoping to find some insights he may have had on Vamdemon's other generals. That would give us so much more knowledge on how to take Vamdemon and his army down."

"I think he would have some stuff that he hid." Dracomon remarked, his voice soft. "At least, I hope he does."

In making their way to Tokyo Tower, Miyuki found herself appreciating the district sights more. Was it because she had almost lost her life to Musyamon? Eh, whatever. Right now, we have to focus on getting clues to help us defeat Vamdemon. Our Digimon need to become stronger. Miyuki sighed.

Eventually, the pair and their Digimon arrived at the base of the tower and glanced up at it in awe. It was so tall, it was ridiculous. "This thing is massive." Miyuki's jaw dropped at the sheer height of the metal masterpiece.

"Holy shit." This was all Hikaru could say in response. He, too, was amazed.

After a couple of seconds just staring at the tower, Miyuki realized something. "Wait… I hope there's like a lift or something. There's no way I'm walking up the stairs for this. We walked to get here so an easy time would be nice."

Luckily for them, Dracomon had started searching as soon as they had arrived and found what the humans called an elevator, which he brought to the attention of his partner and Hikaru.

"Over here." He insisted happily with a wave of one small clawed hand. Miyuki, Hikaru and Plotmon X hurried over as Miyuki and Hikaru cheered.

The small group entered the elevator and Miyuki pressed the button for the top floor. As it was going up, she wriggled in excitement a little. Here was a new place she was coming to, a former hideout. What secrets were hidden here?

When the bell dinged to alert them that they had reached the top floor, Miyuki carefully made her way out after the doors opened. And she was almost instantly confronted by things in MetalGreymon Alterous' hideout.

Things she had not expected to see in her life, ever.

Miyuki was silent.

There were notes all over the walls on pinboards, fastened by tacks. There was a box off to the side, though she wasn't sure if it was locked or not.

"Wow…" She breathed, trying to take in everything at once. This really was amazing, but not necessarily in a good way. No, they had to find out things from MetalGreymon Alterous, find out why he had served under Vamdemon.

Miyuki wasn't going to lie, though. Part of this felt wrong and right at the same time. It was like the Perfect level was giving them clues without giving actual words.

She walked over to the pinboards and studied the notes, removing the tacks from them and taking them off the boards. Wait… Miyuki looked at one particular note closer and her eye widened. She checked the others and realized they revealed similar information.

"Hey Hikaru, Alterous left tips on the generals and how to beat them. He also said he left a note for Dracomon in the box." Miyuki explained as Hikaru came over to her with a note he had retrieved from the box.

"Here." He showed her the note and her eye began to water.

Oh my god… Miyuki didn't know what to think. All of what they knew so far about MetalGreymon Alterous was wrong, so completely wrong that it threw her opinion of the Perfect level off by a wide margin. She felt even worse now; why did she continue to think badly of individuals?

There was a growing feeling of dread forming in Miyuki's stomach at the realization that MetalGreymon Alterous had not been willingly working with Vamdemon.

"I can't believe this." Miyuki murmured quietly, still in a bit of shock. The Perfect level had sacrificed himself to being a soldier for the vampire in order to protect Dracomon. She took a shuddering breath in and glanced at her partner. When should she show Dracomon the note? Miyuki didn't want to upset him anymore; he had been upset enough at this point.

She hesitated for a moment, before crouching down with the note. "Dracomon, I… uh, need to show you something." Miyuki's voice broke as she presented the note to her Digimon partner.

Dracomon looked at his Chosen, his eyes narrowing in concern as he then glanced at the paper in her hand. He accepted it and started to read it and froze almost immediately. "Teacher…" His eyes flicked over the sentences and Miyuki noticed his eyes getting moist.

I'm so sorry, Dracomon. I wish it hadn't been like this. Miyuki thought to herself, before jumping slightly when Dracomon started crying.

"Forgive me, teacher. We killed you thinking you were evil. I'm sorry."

Miyuki's world spun at the revelation and she felt she was watching from a distance as Dracomon dropped the note and collapsed to the metal floor. The small dragon was full on sobbing now and Miyuki managed to ground herself enough to pull the note out of the way quickly.

Hikaru continued looking through the notes, taking notes mentally on which generals were coming up and how to beat them. "This isn't going to be easy, Miyuki." He remarked as he looked over at her and she acknowledged him with a jerk of her head.

"I know. But we have to do this for him, since he was forced to do this against his will." Miyuki replied, her voice soft. She felt bad that MetalGreymon Alterous had been manipulated and felt even worse that they'd killed him without knowing everything. But what's done was done and they had to move forward now.
