AC: Hey everyone and welcome back for more one piece.

Dusk: And this time it's Zoro's birthday.

Eclipse: Happy birthday, you awesome swordsman.

AC: Yep so let's get this story started.

A cat with coral fur and blue eyes walked around the ship, minding her business while avoiding bumping into someone. She kept walking until she spotted someone "Robin."

Said woman looks up and smiles. She beckoned the cat over, who obliged, coming towards her. Robin kept quiet until the cat got close before speaking "what is it, Clarity?"

"Have you seen Zoro?"

"In the crow's nest."

"Thank you Robin." Changing into a hawk, she took off leaving Robin in her chair. She giggles for a bit before going back to her book, a smirk gracing her face.

In the crow's nest, Zoro is training by lifting weights. He's in a squat position as he lifts the weight. Sweat dripped down his body but he paid no mind as he focused on his training. He panted, lifting his arms then pulling them down. The swordsman was so busy with his training, he failed to notice a hawk flew in, he also didn't notice the bird landed on the bar or that it turned into a little mouse.

Clarity twitches her nose before going down his arm then stops at his shoulder. She stares at him, watching him, letting silence fill the room. The silence went on for only two minutes until Zoro stopped and frowned.

"How long are you planning on staring?"

"Glad you finally noticed me, Zoro." Said swordsman rolled his eyes as he put down the weights before standing up. He rolls his shoulders a bit then cracks his neck. After he was satisfied, he lifted his hand to his shoulder, which Clarity walked onto, before pulling it back so he could look at her properly.

"So Clarity?" He walked over the bench then sat down "what is a mischievous shapeshifter, like you, doing here?"

"You think I'm mischievous?" A raised eyebrow was her answer "okay, fine Mr. grouchy pants." She smiles when she gets a 'hey' for her comment "I was looking for you."

Zoro blinks his eyes "me?" A nod "why were you looking for me?"

"Well you see Zoro." She looked away then looked back "little ole' me wants to give a special someone a special gift." Zoro raises an eyebrow.

"What kind of gift? And for whom?" The little mouse smirks before jumping off his hand, changing into a cat in mid air before landing on her feet. Her back was facing him which confused him before turning around. The swordsman stares at the cat in complete confusion until he notices something. Hanging from her mouth is some kind of string, but why is it in her mouth?

Reaching out his hand, he watched Clarity stretch her neck and put the object in his hand before pulling it back. Now seeing it close, he realizes it's not some string instead it's a necklace. The necklace had a long black string and hanging on the string is a shark tooth. He blinks his eyes and stares, his thumb tracing the tooth.

"You like it?" He looked up to Clarity who was smiling before looking down.

"Yeah it's okay."

"Good cause it's yours." He snapped his head up and stared in shock.

"What?" Clarity smiles turn into a grin.

"Happy birthday!"

It took him a few moments for the words to sink in, but once it did, he shook his head.

"That's why you're here, you sneaky little cat." Said cat chuckles.

"Yep. So I still think the gift is okay?"

"Yes." She laughs making him smile until a thought crosses his mind "say Clarity?" The cat tilts her head "why do you give me a shark tooth necklace? Not that I'm complaining, just wondering."

Clarity shrugs her shoulders "maybe because I think it will look cool on you, wearing it and stuff." She smirks "either way, it's perfect and maybe you can use the tooth as a dagger, like destroy your enemies."

Zoro stares at her with a blank look on his face, processing her words. Suddenly, he began to laugh, clutching his stomach. He was so busy laughing, he didn't notice Clarity staring at him or that she began to change.

"Did you laugh?" Zoro opens his eyes to see a grinning snake.

"No."

"Yes I did. I did make you laugh." Zoro chuckles as Clarity continues to speak "I can't believe it. I made the grouchy swordsman laugh. It's midnight miracle everyone, mama has a sense of humor." He laughs causing her to smile. She then leaned in and nuzzled his cheek. Zoro smiles, enjoying the nuzzle before closing his eyes.

"Thanks Clarity."

"You're welcome, Zoro."

Kuraigana Island, a dark and gloomy place that lies in the Grand Line. It's also a residence of Mihawk, one of the seven warlords. It's also the island where one of the straw hats members, a swordsman of the group, who's been here for a year, training.

But they're not the only ones on this island. Walking around while avoiding detection is a coral-furred ocelot. Her blue eyes looked around the area like she was looking for something or perhaps someone. As she walks, she hears a sound of a sword clashing. She turns her head to the direction it was coming from before following it, hoping she can find what she's looking for. She ran and ran and ran until she finally made it to her destination. She slows down to a walk, following the sound until she stops.

Sitting down near a huge rock, she focuses her attention on the scene in front of her. She sees two swordsmen fighting each other, honing their skills. One of them is the warlord of the sea, Mihawk but that's not who she is looking at. Now she is watching the swordsman he is fighting, Roronoa Zoro.

The swordsman has been training with Mihawk for a year now, hoping to get stronger. To protect his friends and to protect his captain. He pants as he continued to attack the swordsman with everything he got only for it to be blocked or deflected. He growls a bit in anger but before he can strike, Mihawk raises a hand thus stopping him.

"Let's stop for now." He said putting his sword away "get your energy back then we'll resume." After that he walks back to the castle, leaving Zoro alone. The swordsman didn't move from his spot as he clenched his fist, then relaxed before sighing. He turned around and began walking but stopped to stare at the sea.

One year. One year since he separated from the others. One year since he appeared on this island. One year since he got the message from his captain. And ever since then, he's been honing his skills to be a stronger swordsman so he can help the others and Luffy. Besides, every pirate king needs a greatest swordsman on their crew.

He smirked a bit at that thought before looking away. Right when he's about to move, a meow was heard, catching his attention. Turning around, he searched the area, trying to find the culprit until he saw movement from the corner of his eye. A spotted tail peeking out from rock, covered in coral fur.

Wait, coral fur?

"Clarity?" Zoro whispered, putting away his swords before walking towards it. As he got closer, the tail thumped the ground but stayed at the same spot. It wasn't until he got real close that it disappeared behind the rock "wait Clarity." He said, turning around the corner, hoping to catch her only to see nothing.

Wait a minute. Did she disappear into thin air? But he could've sworn he just-

"Meow."

"Huh?" Looking up, he sees an ocelot cat staring at him. A spotted tail swaying behind her as she sat perched on the rock. Blinking his eyes, he stares at the cat before he whispers "Clarity?" As if she was responding, the cat smiled before pushing something off the rock. Catching the object in his hand, he looks down and opens it. His eyes widened in shock to see an emerald stone, shaped like a tiger. Underneath is a strip of paper saying happy birthday.

He gasps then looks up to see nothing. The swordsman looked around to find her but couldn't. Walking out from behind the rock, he frowned until he looked down at his gift. Soon a smile appears on his face and as he traces it with his thumb, he whispers the words.

"Thank you Clarity."

Back on the Thousand Sunny, the straw hats crew had reunited after two years, and on another adventure. And as last time, Zoro is in the crow's nest, training as always. Using the weight as a sword, he lifted it up then brought it down before doing it again. He didn't anything no mind. Just focusing on his training.

"Of course this is where you'll be." He stopped his movement "I mean after two years of separation, the first thing you do after reuniting is coming here. Why am I not surprised?" A smirk appears on his face.

"Well miss shapeshifter." He turned his head to see Clarity, in her human form, sitting on the seats, a frown on her face "here to scold me?"

"I only scold when my little ones are doing something dumb, which is almost every day." He raises an eyebrow.

"I'm not little."

"So? I consider all of you my little ones."

Zoro shook his head before resuming his training. It was quiet between them. The room was filled with silence which is very calming. It wasn't until a few minutes in that it was broken "you've gotten stronger." He hums in acknowledgment "I can tell Mihawk have put you through rough training." Another hum "two years of honing your skills, to get stronger." He hums again "but so did the others." Another hum "especially Sanji." This time a scoff was heard "oh don't be like that. You know he gotten stronger." He rolled his eyes. He can tell that she's pouting without looking. It was quiet for a moment until it was broken.

"Zoro... can you come over here."

The swordsman stops what he's doing. He turned his head to Clarity, an unreadable expression on her face. Putting the weight down, he walked over to her, rolling his shoulders before sitting down. He stares at the coral haired women, trying to read her but it's kind of difficult with her mask on. The two just stare at each other, none move a muscle or say a word.

Soon Clarity starts to move, and without breaking eye contact, raises her hands. Opening them, a clump of sand that looked like it was made of stardust, sat in the palm of her hands. A look of confusion is shown on his face and before he can open his mouth, she blows, causing the dust to fly everywhere. Zoro coughs, swatting the dust away. Once he calms down, he opens his eyes and silently gasps in awe.

In front of him is a display of him when he was young, swinging his sword, but he wasn't the only one. Fighting the younger him was Kuina, his childhood friend and rival. They were training together, laughing and playing. It was peaceful.

"So?" He looks over to Clarity, a soft smile on her face "do you like your birthday gift?" He stared at the women before looking back at the display. Soon a soft smile appeared on his face as he spoke.

"It's nice." Clarity giggles before leaning on his shoulder.

"Glad you like it." He chuckles.

"Yeah and Clarity."

"Hmm." Leaning his head on hers, he spoke.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, sweetie and happy birthday."
