Cullen
Rachel and me have been married for over a year.
I had got the First Year Anniversary band engraved.
It took the jeweler 60 hours to hand engrave it the way I wanted it.
It connected to her Engagement ring just like her Wedding band does.
I was picking it up.
I walked in the shop.
"Is it ready?"
"Of course it is, Mr. Crisp. I'm never late with an order."
He slid me the band.
It was exactly the way I wanted it engraved.
"We agreed on the price."
"Yes."
I paid him the $4,000.
"Thank you for your business."
"Mm-hmm."
I walked out.
I headed home.
I opened the front door.
Rachel was standing in the Kitchen, cooking.
Junior was in his bouncer in the Living Room.
She looked up.
Rachel sighed.
"I'm sorry Dinner's not ready yet. It's taking longer than I anticipated."
"You're fine, baby."
She flinched as I wrapped my arms around her waist from behind.
"Relax, baby."
Rachel slowly relaxed.
"Ring."
She slid her Engagement ring off her left ring finger.
I took it from in between Rachel's fingers.
She continued cooking.
I continued the First Year Anniversary band to Rachel's Engagement ring.
It fit perfectly on the other side of her ring.
"Hand."
Rachel gave me her left hand.
I slid the Engagement ring back on her left ring finger.
Rachel looked back at me when she saw the First Year Anniversary band.
"I am sincerely sorry for scaring you last night. I promise you it won't happen again."
She nodded her head.
