A Quartermasters Tale

A/N: Once again, I apologise to Chaucer. But he's dead. So he can't sue me. Oh, and be thankful... I'm not using medieval language.

Here beginneth the Quartermaster's Tale:

They built a ship of light and grace

To race through depths of darkest space

To explore and meet for Earthen glory

But that – I fear's – another story

For while that ship is in this tale

It's mission – were it met or failed

Is not the story laden here

With laughter, and perhaps with tear

'Tis not a tale of officers brave

But many a craven, desperate knave

And the many schemes they will devise

On this vessel they call Enterprise.
