"Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist!"

Garou could feel every inch of his master's attack from every corner of his body, pummeling and beating him down until his body could barely take them anymore.

The assault continued when he felt the side of a foot slamming him in the cheeks, hurling him away to the nearest pole.

Hitting his back against it, he could feel the bones cracking from the force alone.

"OLD MAAAAAAAANN!!" Garou could feel a rush of something. An alien urge, pushing him to kill, to violate his opponent in the most humiliating way possible.

"I can feel an external energy coursing through you, Garou." Bang said, "That's why you fight like an animal from the start. What is it?"

Garou charged forward, wildly swinging his claws around in the air, where Bang used to stand. He kept avoiding the attacks like they were a nuisance.

"YAAAAAAARRRGHHHHHH...!!!"

Bang caught both of his pupil's hands, twisting them to the side, before kneeing him in the ribcage, causing him to splutter some of his blood from his mouth.

He spun the young man in the air, before doing a side kick, catapulting Garou against the ground.

Bang took the initiative and lept into the air. When he descended, he brought down all of his weight into his fist. Garou couldn't react much to the attack, safe for shielding himself with both his arms, but it was futile.

The force alone coerced his body to go straight through some of the asphalt, creating a large, encircling crater around him.

Crap.. I'm blacking out..all I did back there..was just blindly flailing my arms around like an untrained kid. I don't know what, but something is pushing me, something dormant.

Garou never relented, trying to block all of the attacks coming from all directions.

Damn you, old man. Attacking your best student when he's at his most vulnerable? That's a bit unsportsmanlike.

When he noticed that the old man was about to deliver the final blow, he swiftly made a side motion with his arm to scatter the dust in the air.

Bang looked slightly distracted. Garou used this to his advantage, before breaking free of the martial artist's grip.

He used the nearby building to build his momentum, using his feet to propel himself in the air towards Bang.

Bang immediately squared up, using his feet to move himself to the side, avoiding the attack.

After, he tentatively grabbed his former student's legs, locking them in-between his armpits, then spinning him around violently as a swirl of wind formed around them.

Meanwhile, Nana could only watch as the principal himself give his former student a hell of a beatdown. All because she sent her current location to the wrong party.

She opened up her phone, trying to contact Yagi, but it was too late.

As it seems, his phone was dead, or at least that's what she thought judging by the checkmarks.

Garou could do nothing as his former master spun him around. He felt nauseous, but hell, as if he'll throw up in the middle of a battle.

He'll hold onto this to the end.

Garou could feel his adversary's grip on his legs loosening, and in an instant...

He could feel the wind wildly blowing against his skin, when he crashed through the ground, his head colliding against the concrete wall.

He could feel the swarm of darkness clouding his vision, his consciousness slowly fading away like a dispersed flame.

No..

It can't end like this...

...

...

The hell is this?

He was suddenly placed in front of a familiar place.

"Let's play heroes and monsters! You're gonna play as well, right, Garou?"

"Yeah, c'mon man!"

"Okay!"

"Justice man is here!"

"Justice Kick!"

"H- Hey...watch out, that must've hurt."

"Hm?"

"Fine, you can be the monster next round."

"What?"

"You heard me right."

Garou could only watch these past events unfold as a spectator, with nothing he could do about it.

...My life is flashing right before me? Everything about this sucks. Wait...

Garou noticed a particular kid. The one that he kept having visions about.

What was his name again? Tacchan?

"You're the monster now, got it?"

He was always the popular kid in my class, while I was just a shitstick loner with nothing to live for. Couldn't help but envy him. He probably has both his parents intact...

Nah, who am I kidding? I bet he snuggles in his parents arms after he beat me up.

Garou could see his younger self standing in the middle of the class, the desks around him either flipped or theashed.

"We were just playing with Garou, but out of the blue he just...went completely ballistic on us. What is even wrong with him?"

"Can you differentiate between playing pretend and a real fight?!"

"Sir, I..."

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT! You risked the wellbeing of my students, and that in itself is enough to get you expelled! Don't you realise the severety of your misbehavings? This has always been your problem, your uncontrolled temper. Maybe that's why your mother left you."

"...What?"

"You think anyone could stand the thought of living with an unruly child like you?!'

"..."

Damn it. Damn it! Damn it! Stop it!

"Mom...where are you going?"

"Somewhere far.."

"Why?"

"... Can't stand the sight of you."

"What?"

"You remind me of him. Everyday I see your face, that hair, that white, ashen hair, that wicked smile you always wore, it sickens me. It just takes me back to the time where...where I used to love. I want to be away, overseas, away from everything, away from his legacy, away from...you."

"M- mom..."

"Please..."

"Please...!"

"PLEASE...!"

Damn her. That fucking witch. Left me stranded because of her own selfish needs, her misplaced emotional turmoil. I'm not like him. I'm not like him at all!

I have convictions, goals to achieve, not like him! I want everyone to be made aware of the issues that are left unattended! I want to become the symbol of fear that plunges humanity into an era of terror!

It's not fair, how we, the hated and the unpopular, have to find ourselves constantly being held in gunpoint, staring at the barrel of the gun with nothing that we can do about it. I will put an end to this disparity. I'll alter everything, every injustice invoked upon us, every discrimination that were neglected!

I want to strike the blow for the little guys!

Garou's eyes jolted up, his consciousness suddenly returning back to him.

He caught the glimpse of his old master walking towards him at a slow pace.

"This is the end for you, Garou." He said.

However, a rush of anger reeled through his veins. His muscles suddenly tensed up, his fists clenched, his nails digging through his palm to the point of causing a good quarter of his blood to stream down from it.

"Nothing's..." Garou slowly stood up, raising both his fists...

And in the next moment...

Both his fists pummeled the ground so hard, the ground began to crumble, causing everything to shake, "ENDED YET!"

"What the-?!" Bang was even pushed back by the sheer force of this power alone, "What is this abrupt increase in strength?!"

"HHRRRRRRAAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH...!!!!!" Garou released an outcry that rippled the air around him, releasing shockwaves on a miniscule scale.

"Mind if I tag along?" Nana said as she walked towards where Bang is, albeit a bit struggling due to the wind pushing them back, "You look like you could use a hand."

"I told you to stay back, Shimura, he is-"

"Our responsibility." Nana interrupted, "Now shut your trap, I'm taking a part in this fight whether you like it or not."

"Hm." Bang then returned his attention back to Garou, "If you wish."

Tedious as it is, Metal Bat had to kept waiting for these two jerks to fuck right off so he can get back to his daily activities.

"You guys having fun?" Bad decided to initiate a conversation out of boredom.

They didn't respond.

"What gives? You were in a talking mood earlier." Bad remarked, to which, they did not respond as well.

"Fine. Keep the silent treatment up. I'm sure it'll do you wonders." Metal Bat scoffed, as he looked at the ceiling. I wish something comes up already.

As they always say...

Be careful what you wish for.

Not long after that, something crashed through the roof. The chef's and the waitresses immediately rushed outside as a means to gain a distance from the danger.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't our potential meat shield." A creature amassing hundreds of arms throughout it's extensive body spoke.

Metal Bat kept a tightened grip around the handle of his bat, "I was hopin' for things to stir up, and you don't disappoint."

The man he was guarding cowered, taking his son by his hand.

Metal Bat took the chance to make the first movement, charging towards the monster violently, swinging his bat rapidly towards the creature, but to his surprise...

It didn't even flinch. It then splashed a form of thick fluid from it's lips, to which Metal Bat reacted by dodging swiftly. He swung his bat repeatedly, but nonetheless, the creature endured the relentless assault.

But before he could deal the final blow, he was flunged away through the concrete wall with a single swipe of it's tail.

He landed outside of the buffet, his head still shrouded in pain that were caused by the solid wall that he crashed through earlier.

W- what the hell was that thing?!

He could see the pair of the people that he was assigned to protect running away from the scene, with the goddamned centipede chasing after them.

He let out a cry, as he rushed between it and the man, launching another attack with his bat, and this time..

It made a slight dent in the centipede's armor.

"You reek of secrets, foolish one. How did you managed to grow in strength in such a short timespan?" The centipede asked.

"Fuck reasons..." Metal Bat wiped the blood from his forehead, "IT'S FIGHTIN' SPIRIT!"

But before he could continue with another attack, something bigger came from the ground.

A centipede so massive, that it levelled the entire city without so much as a trouble.

Protruding from one side of the city to the other, the centipede continued to wreck havoc and devastate the city.

Metal Bat was shocked by the emergence, and the creature beside him could only chuckle.

..

Bang could feel the fierce aura emitting out of his student. He never felt such an intense aura before. As if his student's culminated anger was amplified tenfold.

And his movements was even faster than before. He could barely see the motions made by the Hero Hunter, though he managed to dodge every single one of them, at the expense of most of his stamina.

Nana was on the offensive, though every single one of her attacks ended up not landing on the man either.

As Garou launched another attack, Bang immediately used the back of his wrist to thwart the attempt, deflecting it back to it's sender.

Garou was sent hurling to the air, before immediately recovering and landing on a near lamppost.

"You've lost your touch, Garou." Bang said, "Your abnormal increase in strength has clouded your judgement."

Garou didn't respond. He only seek to throttle this old man until he spat his own blood, and eventually die.

But then, Nana emerged from his behind, putting him on a headlock, "Now!"

Bang propelled himself from the ground, preparing to deliver a double palm strike.

But as it seemed..

The tide of the battle goes against them.

Garou immediately grabbed Nana in the wrist, bending his waist down below, using his weight to throw Nana into the front, putting her in-between him and the incoming attack.

The force of the attack alone flinged Nana, rocketing to the air above where she could no longer be seen.

Before Bang could ponder on his mistake, Garou was already on the offensive, bouncing back and forth from one lamppost to another.

Bang could sense a movement from behind his back, before doing a smooth flip in the air, using the momentum to kick the incoming Garou right in the jaw, sending him sliding across the ground, his teeth gritted.

Prudent enough to not underestimate the seemingly weakened villain in front of him, he kept his keen senses to track whatever movements Garou was planning.

Whether it is to take the left, the right, or even to do a sucker punch..

He'll be on guard.

"Friendly fire isn't what I would expect from the great Silverfang." A sound of a feet landing from his behind could be heard.

"It was a simple blunder."

"One that could cost the chances of our victory." Nana retorted, "We should coordinate our moves properly next time."

After a long while of being on guard, he noticed that Garou wasn't moving.

As if he lost the spark that he just gained earlier. A spark of mysterious energy originating from a source that is still unknown.

"He's not moving." Bang said.

Moments passed, and Garou could feel the energy leaving him. Feeling limp, his body almost collapsed into the ground.

"Hnnnn..."

Can't fall here.

Must right the wrongs.

Scatter the terror around the world.

Unite their hearts.

Unite their resolutions.

Until this disparity is gone.

He could hear the voices from his conscience telling him to keep moving. No. Not his conscience.

An external entity.

In a split second, his eyes opened, and he could see a massive figure towering above both Bang and Nana.

This figure's features were grotesque, as if he left his own rotting corpse unattended inside a morgue.

The creature's neck twisted to the side, and a voice could be heard,

"Garou."

He felt overwhelmed by this entity's presence. It overcame his bravado. What the hell was this? He couldn't have been hallucinating.

The damned thing was in front of him, staring at him, baring it's eerie eyes towards him, as if it was penetrating his soul like a sharpened blade.

It felt as if he was facing a creature of divine origins. Godly, commanding, and powerful.

He took a step back, earning a concerned looks from both the heroes in front of him. But as soon as he did, the creature vanished out of his sight.

"Garou?" Bang called out in front.

"You don't mean to say.." Garou pointed to the sky above, seemingly empty, "You're not seeing...all that?"

"Oh great, as a last resort, the great hero hunter tries to ensnare us with his elaborate plan of doing the classic 'look behind you!' trick. Can you get more creative than this?" Nana snarkily said.

"No, you moron! I saw it."

"Saw what?"

"Some sort of...divine entity?"

"HUMAN MONSTER!"

That voice again, belonging to the one and only Phoenix Man.

He tilted his head to his behind, only to see the monster he fought from before in the air, flapping it's wings while circling around the ruined area where they fought.

Multiple monsters emerged out of the ground from their backs.

Before the heroes could respond with their own attacks, however..

Suddenly, a spray of purple smoke emitted out of the monsters collectively. As the substance entered their nostrils, they could feel their vision fading away.

Aw fuck.

Both the heroes slumped into the ground, their consciousness lost.

"Old man!" Garou tried to move, only for his pain to strain his body back. Damn it. They fucking took them by surprise. What a bunch of cowards!

"Is this your plan from the start?!" Garou shouted, "Weaken me enough by luring these pro-heroes so you can capture me?! "

The monsters didn't respond.

Garou couldn't even move his muscle to fight. There's no last resort that he could use to beat the shit out of these monsters. Even at his best, he could barely graze these monsters, let alone in this weakened state.

He decided that it would be best if he stood his ground, face these assholes head on without so much as a reluctance. Mortality chances be damned. He swore from the beginning that he would take massive lengths in order to achieve his goal.

He tried to take a step, only for a spasm to throb throughout his body.

His muscles felt sore, and he could barely move. The blood gushing out of his forehead slightly obscured his view.

But then..

He could feel something clenching itself from his back, gripping his shirt tight.

In moments, he could feel himself being lifted up from the ground.

That was when he realised how fucking hopeless this situation was.

He was at the mercy of these monsters.

"CENTICHORO! YOU CAN COME HERE AND DEVOUR THESE HEROES!" The Phoenix Man shouted to the heavens.

The ground rumbles, as the rattling of concretes and glasses alike could be heard throughout the street, the vibration alone is enough to rupture the average eardrums.

A massive creature could be seen crawling it's way to the unconscious pro-heroes, using it's numerous arms to increase it's velocity.

But when it closed it's distance, something small stood in front of the pro-heroes.

A man wearing a yellow jumpsuit, with a pair of red gloves and red boots, with also a golden buckle wrapped around his waist.

Letting the cape flutter in the wind, he slid his right feet backwards, cocking his fist back,

"Killer Move. Serious Series."

The man thrusted his fist forward, and the massive centipede knew to relent.

But it never did.

"Serious Smash."

What follows next, was a shockwave that nearly shattered the nearby buildings, and subsequently, eternal darkness.

TO BE CONTINUED!
