Wawanakwa Go Wild

It was past noon in Playa des losers. Nine former contestants and the intern Martha were in the docks, working in a trap to capture the Psycho killer after other losers disappeared. The idea was to dig a tiger pit, cover it with a carpet, and immobilize the killer by throwing a table over him.

"This looks like a Rube Goldberg machine. I wonder if the table or the carpet were made by Acme?" wondered Noah after looking at the ex-contestants working in the trap.

"Haha don't be silly Noah. It's a tiger pit, not a machine," said Katie, chuckling.

"For someone with such a big head, he's such a scatterbrain," said Eva chuckling. She was digging the hole with Cody and Zeke.

Noah sighed. "Just forget it, explaining it'll be even more tiresome."

"My question is why we're digging this here instead of using one of the pits we made to capture the woolly beaver?" asked Zeke while drying the sweat off his forehead.

"Because in the forest he can use the trees to hide, while here on the beach the psycho killer will be totally exposed," said Martha making a big grin.

Noah glared at her. "Where were you? After suggesting we should build the trap, you disappeared."

"I was preparing a secret weapon," said Martha, making an impish smile. "If we can't trap him with the table, we'll stop the killer forever."

"Forever?"

"Yes, forever, he'll regret messing with us." Martha's words sounded dreadful, so Noah decided to ignore them.

After some more digging, Justin and Bridgette put a stair on the hole so the diggers could climb out, and the BFFFLs covered it with the carpet and sand.

"Hey homie, the carpet will be fine, right? I don't want to walk on the cold floor when I wake up in the morning," said Zeke frowning at the trap.

"Yes, it will be fine … probably," Noah shrugged and smirked. "But you can also sleep wearing socks and avoid walking on the floor barefoot."

Zeke took a second to think about what Noah said before being interrupted by Lindsay.

"It's my turn already?" asked Lindsay, making a lovely smile.

"Yes, do you remember what you need to do?" asked Noah, raising an eyebrow.

The blonde girl smiled. "Of course I do. I just need to sit next to the trap and do my nails while waiting for the killer."

"And…"

"And if the killer appears behind me, I need to lure him toward the trap, running away from him," Lindsay interrupted Noah, making a big smile.

"Wow, you remembered…"

"And if I can't escape or lure the killer into the trap, then I need to scream and cry as loudly as possible so everyone knows he's here," Lindsay again interrupted Noah, raising her head proudly.

"That wasn't part of the plan."

"I know, but I thought it would be good to have an extra plan if everything else fails," Lindsay winked.

Noah blinked a couple of times. "That's actually a good idea. As they say, never judge a book by its cover."

"Haha, don't be silly Noah, of course, you judge books by their cover. If not, how can you know if it's a boring book?" said Lindsay covering her mouth while laughing.

"Or maybe a pipe is just a pipe," muttered Noah while sighing.

After some more minutes, the trap was ready. The ex-contestants and Martha hid while Lindsay sat next to the trap and began to do her nails. Everything was prepared to capture the Psycho killer with the chainsaw and the hook.

It was night already, Lindsay had finished her manicure a couple of hours ago, and the Psycho killer didn't attack. The rest of the campers were hiding in wait, especially Eva, whose job was to cut the rope to let the table fall into the tiger pit once the killer fell into it.

"He isn't coming," said Justin in an annoyed tone.

"Yes, yes, we heard you the first 50 times," Noah replied, as annoyed as him.

Justin huffed. "Then I'll take my leave and rest in my room."

"What? You can't do that!" whispered Cody, frowning at the model. "What if the Psycho killer attacks you?"

"Then I should stay here and sleep like them?" Asked Justin, pointing at Katie and Sadie, who were sleeping soundly, one laying against the other.

"And the darkness doesn't help," said Zeke, who was looking for the boat of losers. "Why do we have to turn off the lights?"

Noah rolled his eyes. "It was Martha's idea. It's so the killer can't see the trap."

Cody sighed. "Maybe he isn't coming like Justin said. Should we call it a night?"

"I think we should wait for at least a little more so Lindsay's efforts aren't in vain," Bridgette whispered, "look at her, she's doing her best to attract the killer."

"Yes, because doing a manicure, then a pedicure, and now playing with a thread on her eyebrows is so hard," said Noah in a snarky tone.

"Ouch" said Lindsay as the thread pucked some of her eyebrows.

"She isn't playing. She's threading her eyebrows. It's a beauty technique," said Cody, smirking.

Justin chuckled. "I guess you aren't as smart as you presume if you don't know something basic like that."

"Ouch," said Lindsay again.

"Sorry for not being interested in vain beauty treatments," said Noah rolling his eyes.

"Shhh, someone is coming," said Eva, watching intently at the docks.

A couple of shadows walked toward Lindsay. She was too busy looking at her mirror with the thread plucking her eyebrows and didn't notice them.

The shadows watched her and walked in her direction as planned, falling into the trap.

"WHAT ARE YOOOOOO!"

"MOMMAAA!"

There were two screams, one deeper and one high-pitched. Noah reacted immediately.

"EVA, DON'T CUT THE ROPE," shouted the Indian guy

However, it was too late, Eva cut it in one swing, and the heavy table fell over the people in the tiger pit.

"Noah, What's happening? What did you want Eva to stop? Didn't we catch the killer?" asked Cody, as confused as the rest.

But the Indian guy ignored him, turning toward the prairie boy. "Zeke, did the boat of losers arrive?"

"Eh? Yes, it's on the dock."

"And why didn't you tell us?"

"Because you tell me to watch for it, not to tell you when it arrived." Zeke took out a notebook, "So I took note of the time it arrived but didn't want to interrupt you. It was 8 minutes ago."

Noah put his hand on his face and sighed. "This can't be happening."

A loud shout mixed with the sounds of the table shattering interrupted their conversation. Pieces of wood flew out from the pit after Chef punched it.

"What's the meaning of this?" asked Chef, his voice more menacing than ever.

But there was one person who didn't realize it.

"Ha, you fool! You fell into our trap. Prepare to die, psycho killer!" shouted Martha, who was on the roof of the infirmary. Next to her was an improvised sled with a gas tank pointing at the tiger pit.

"WAIT!" shouted Noah, but it was too late.

In the dark resort, the only light was Martha's lighter, which she used to ignite the gas tank to create an improvised rocket. Chef pushed his head and torso out of the pit and watched the intern.

"Holy mother of…" The co-host sentence was interrupted by a huge explosion. The resort's windows broke, and for an instant, a huge fireball was visible around the lake.

The 10 former contestants were in the lobby. The only sound was the helicopter and Ned's voice, who was outside.

"I know the joke I made about sending more interns, but honestly, we can't keep having these accidents. You must be more responsible. If this keeps happening, the municipality of Muskoka will send an inspection, and you'll have to cover the fees," said the paramedic in a stern voice.

Then another voice replied in a lower and more apologetic tone.

"Well, fewer apologies and more hard work. We'll charge the fees to the usual account and be grateful. An accident like this could be a lot worse. I'll call you tomorrow."

The conversation ended, and the helicopter went away, the rotor's noise becoming fainter and fainter.

Suddenly the door of the resort opened, startling all the presents.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!?" shouted Chef, his eyes bloodshot.

Lindsay, Zeke, Katie, Sadie, DJ, Bridgette, and Cody looked terrified while Noah and Eva rolled their eyes in annoyance. Justin just watched his image in his hand mirror, trying to not frown.

"I'm thinking if staying awake so late will hurt my skin," said Justin, pressing his cheek with a finger.

Chef stomped, making the room tremble. "I don't care about your beauty sleep. I want to know why you did that silly prank?"

"I don't know! We were bored and scared and thought it would be funny," DJ said, covering his head.

"Kid, you just arrived with me. You weren't on the resort when this happened," said Chef, glaring at the Brickhouse.

DJ rubbed his neck. "Sorry man, I get nervous when people shout questions like that."

"We were trying to catch the Psycho killer," said Eva in a cold tone.

"WHAT?" Chef shouted at her, shocked.

Eva elbowed Noah, who nodded. "We read in the newspaper that a Psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hand hook was on the run in this area."

"And you thought he may be hiding on the island?" asked Chef, glaring at the genius.

"Yes!" said both BFFFLs at the same time.

"I mean it wouldn't be the weirdest thing that happened here…"

".. and it seemed like a good idea." Katie and Sadie continued, completing each other sentences.

Chef nodded. "Well, I can't believe it, but it was actually a good idea. We just captured the Psycho Killer on the other island," said Chef, smirking.

"You captured him?" Asked Noah, looking at him with wide eyes.

"Technically, he turned on himself, but it doesn't matter," Chef shrugged and then put his hands on his hips. "But that doesn't justify what you did to Martha."

Bridgette raised a hand. "But we didn't do anything to her."

"You let her go with her silly plan to use a gas tank as a weapon!" shouted Chef, pointing outside. "She was lucky to get only some minor burns and a broken wrist."

"I just wonder why it blew like that instead of flying like a rocket," said Lindsay putting a finger on her cheek.

DJ folded his arms and nodded. "I guess because we're lucky, I don't think Chef or I would leave that hole unscathed if the gas tank blew us."

"Also is impossible to use a gas bottle as a missile like that, eh!" said Ezekiel, folding his arms. "If you want it to be propelled, you need to…"

"WAIT!" Noah interrupted the prairie guy, raising a hand. "Do you really want to tell these people how to make a homemade rocket?"

Zeke looked at the contestants. Katie and Sadie were whispering and jiggling, Lindsay was playing with her hair, and Justin was looking at his reflection in his hand mirror.

"You're right homie, let's leave it at that," said Zeke, nodding.

"Anyway, we'll have another intern soon, so this time if they try to do something dangerous, STOP THEM!" shouted Chef, his eyes bulging. "That's all, now I'll go to sleep. Today was too stressful."

Cody stood up and ran behind the big man. "WAIT CHEF! And what will happen with the others?"

"Others?"

"Yes, the people kidnapped by the psycho killer…"

"… when will they come back?" asked Katie and Sadie, completing each sentence.

Chef scratched his head. He was so angry that he didn't realize that some losers were missing from the lobby. "I guess they'll return to the hotel tomorrow after the police find them. Don't worry about it."

"Are you sure? Because I miss Tyson!" shouted Lindsay, cupping her mouth with both hands.

"His name is Tyler, eh?" said Zeke raising a hand.

"I'm sure whatever his name is will come back, so stop nagging and go to sleep!" shouted Chef, who then went to the boat of losers and left the island.

Eva scoffed. "He cares less and less about this damn place."

"I think as long as the others aren't in New York, it's not his problem," said Noah shrugging.

The rest began to walk toward the elevator, the atmosphere much relaxed now that the Psycho killer was caught.

"I can't wait to meet Ty…ler and Beth tomorrow," said Lindsay jumping happily.

Bridgette chuckled. "And Courtney, I guess she'll be upset because the show didn't try to rescue her."

Zeke walked and patted DJ's back, "yoyoyo homie, let me show you where your room is, yo."

"Thanks but, can you stop talking like that? It makes me a little uncomfortable," said DJ, raising an eyebrow.

"B-But that's how the Zeke talks," said Ezekiel, looking at him with wide eyes.

DJ sighed. "If it's how you talk to everyone, I guess it's alright. Show me where my room is, man."

Zeke nodded happily and the remaining contestants went to sleep after a long day.

The next day Eva went out of her room and met with the BFFFLs. Usually, only they, Zeke and Beth woke up before 7:00 a.m. But these past days the farmer girl wasn't there.

The three went out of the resort and began to jog around the island. And as always, Katie and Sadie talked about something useless, like make-up, clothes, or boys. Eva never participated in their conversations, finding them annoying.

However she realized Sadie breathing was better and she also ran longer distances. Even then Eva never praised her, it wasn't her style.

As they passed the beach, Katie and Sadie began talking about a new subject.

"Do you think the others will come back soon to the resort?" asked Katie, tilting her head.

"I think the Psycho killer trapped them in an old shack, and it'll take some time until production finds them," Sadie said, her breathing a little uneven.

Katie shook her head. "Why the Psycho killer would trap them in a shack?"

"I don't know, but killers always take their victims to shacks in the forest."

Eva sighed, this was the kind of useless talk that annoyed her.

"That's not true. Sometimes they took them to old haunted mansions."

"But there aren't haunted mansions on the island?"

"Maybe it's a hidden mansion."

The strong girl made an effort to ignore them, but the BFFFLs continued.

"Why would someone build a mansion on an island with a summer camp?"

"Let's ask Eva," said Katie, frowning.

"I don't know, and I don't care," replied Eva rolling her eyes. "Those annoying guys will come back before we realize it, so there is no use in thinking about it."

Katie pouted. "That's a boring answer."

"Sorry for being boring," said Eva in a snarky tone.

"Hahaha, you start sounding like Noah," said Katie, smiling.

Eva gave her a death glare.

"I say it as a compliment," said Katie in a lower tone.

"Whatever," replied Eva, accepting the apology.

Sadie stopped, heavy breathing. "I think I'll go back to the resort. See you later."

"See you Sadie," said Katie waving, Eva watching her through the corner of her eye.

"Did you realize she already runs 2/3 of our route!? I'm sure she'll run with us the whole island soon," said Katie, making a wide smile.

Eva scoffed. "Don't count your chickens before they hatch. I'll believe it when I see it."

They kept running in silence, Katie looked at Eva, and after shaking her head, decided to ask her.

"Eva, is something bothering you?" asked Katie, making a sad smile.

The strong girl didn't show any emotion, "why do you ask?"

"Because you're angrier than usual, and you're not enjoying the workout," said Katie, running behind her.

"It's your silly imagination. I'm always like this," replied Eva in a harsh tone. "And if you keep annoying me, I'll show you how I look when I'm angry."

Katie nodded, and instead of cowering in fear, she smiled. "Ok, but if something is bothering you, you can count on me. Maybe I can't fix it, but at least I can worry with you."

Eva muttered something and began to run again. There is no way she could thank Katie for her words, much less tell her what was troubling her. But the small gesture made her feel a little better.

Justin entered the cafeteria, he had finished his beauty treatment and wanted to take a fruit salad. But the space was filled with the sweet aroma of pancakes. He didn't like food with so many carbs, but these smelled delicious.

Inside the cafeteria were Zeke, Bridgette, and another girl. The stranger was dressed in the blue and khaki uniform of the interns. She had long, platinum blond hair in a braid that reached her lower back, light blue eyes, and pale skin.

The intern was shuffling a deck of cards and putting them face down in front of the prairie boy. She then revealed card, which was a picture of a tower, "Oh my, it seems you'll be in danger soon."

"Oh no!" said Bridgette covering her mouth.

"Don't worry homie, danger is my second name," said Ezekiel making a clumsy wink. He then rubbed his neck, "well, not literally. Ezekiel Danger would sound very silly, eh?"

The intern and Bridgette chuckled as Justin walked toward them. "Are you reading the tarot?"

"Yes, want to try it?" said Bridgette, smiling.

The intern blushed but made an effort to keep her composure. "My name is Nadia, and I like to read the omens in the card and help people fulfill their destinies. Do you want to try?"

"I'm Justin and no, I don't do that kind of thing," said the model, winking, "and you shouldn't either."

"I'm surprised that you didn't believe in fate. It's a little disappointing," said Nadia, shuffling the cards again.

Justin shook his head. "All the opposite, there are things we can't understand, so it's better to not play with them." After saying this, he went to the kitchen.

"Wow, I didn't expect Justin to be superstitious," Zeke scratched his head.

"Dear Zeke, there is a difference between being wary and superstitious," said Nadia, a weird light in her eyes. "And I think Justin just had a bad experience, so it's my mission to help him understand the wonders of occultism."

Bridgette and Zeke looked at each other, unsure of what the intern was talking about.

At the same time, Justin found something unexpected in the kitchen, the big black guy from the basses who was eliminated yesterday. It was him and not Nadia, the one cooking those fragrant pancakes.

"Maybe you don't know it, but it's the intern's job to prepare our meals," said Justin, tilting his head.

"Oh, good morning," said DJ, making a wide grin. "I like cooking so I asked Nadia if I could make today's breakfast. Cooking helps me relax, and it's been a while since I did it."

"Too much effort," said Justin while examining the pancakes.

"As long as you enjoy it, just shut up and do it," said DJ, chuckling a little.

Justin raised an eyebrow. "Is that one of those weird quotes from dead people that Noah likes so much?"

"No, it's what my momma always says. Less thinking and more moving your hands," DJ flipped some pancakes and put them on a plate.

"Your momma sounds like a pretty energetic lady," said Justin, making an authentic smile for the first time.

DJ put more dough into the pan. "You say it, Momma doesn't know the meaning of 'taking it easy.'"

"My māmā is the same, she works as a manager and is always in meetings with clients or studios. The only times I can be with her is when she's acting like my manager or on holidays," Justin took a pancake and squinted at it. "Do you have any idea of how many calories are in your pancakes?"

"That's harsh man. I don't know if I would be able to spend so much time without my momma," DJ frowned sadly, the corners of his mouth downturned. "And they should have around 160 calories. I try to use less sugar, so they aren't that heavy, and you can always add extra syrup if you like them sweeter."

"Ok, I'm sure I'll regret it, but I will take a couple of these," Justin put the pancake on his plate and took another from the pile.

DJ winked. "I hope you enjoy it."

"I hope so too," said Justin and then sat at a cafeteria table.

Justin put some syrup in the pancake, and as he tasted it, his eyes widened. They were totally delicious.

"That guy is really good at cooking," Justin took another bit and smiled. "I just wonder what his name is. I guess I miss the chance to ask him."

Zeke, Bridgette, Nadia, and later DJ joined Justin for breakfast. Even after the meal, Justin ignored the name of the Brickhouse with a heart.

After lunch, Noah was resting next to the pool while reading one of the books he got in New York, City of Bones. He had some mixed feelings about the story.

"Ok, I admit this isn't the kind of thriller I was expecting," he said after reading the first 30 pages.

"Hey! Hello, … Butch? What are you reading?" asked Lindsay, sitting in a beach chair beside the Indian guy. She was wearing a green bikini.

Noah blushed but soon recovered his composure and gave her a dirty look. "Noah, my name is Noah. At least this time, you got one letter right."

"Hihihi, sorry, you just have a weird name," Lindsay chuckled while covering her mouth.

"Weird? Noah is a really common name," said Noah, frowning at the blonde girl. "Noah's ark doesn't ring a bell?"

Lindsay squinted and pressed her lips, making an effort to think about that. "No, sorry, it's a retail store?"

"I was expecting too much," said Noah, pressing his nose's bridge.

Lindsay didn't reply to Noah's comment and began to put some sun lotion on her arms and shoulder while humming. He decided to keep reading his book. Maybe he could find out the problem with Clary's mother's vacation.

But of course, he was being too optimistic.

"Do you think Tyler will come back soon?" asked Lindsay, interrupting him again.

"I don't know," Noah replied in a cold tone.

"I miss him. Do you know we're dating?"

"Really? I would never guess."

"What? Tyler didn't tell you?"

"I guess he did it like a hundred times, but I tried to ignore him."

"Hihi, yes Tyler sometimes is easy to ignore, I wonder why?" Lindsay sighed and hugged her legs. "But it's not nice to just ignore him. You should pay attention to him when he's talking, it's like common politeness."

Noah rolled his eyes. "I guess you're alike in many things. It'll be a pain to talk with you."

"Heha, thanks," Lindsay made a wide smile. She hesitated for a moment and then continued talking. "You know something? You're much funnier than you look."

"Excuse me?" said Noah, glaring at her.

Lindsay continued putting on the sun lotion. "You know, you were so like uptight and jerkish in the dodgeball challenge. So I expected you would be arrogant and hard to approach, preferring books to people. But you're like smart and fun to talk to."

"Are you praising or insulting me?" Noah was so annoyed that he began to chuckle. Now he understood why she became Heather's underling so easily.

"Praising you of course, I would never insult you. Why would I insult a friend?" asked Lindsay, pouting.

Noah shook his head. It was obvious he couldn't understand her

As they talked, Katie walked out of the resort. She was frowning, with the sides of her mouth downturned.

"Hello Lindsay and Noah," said Katie waving, her voice a bit lower than usual. "Have you seen Sadie? I can't find her."

"No, I haven't," said Noah, shaking his head.

Lindsay put on a thoughtful expression. "Sadie is the girl that dresses like you?"

"Yes, that's her."

"Sorry I haven't seen her," Lindsay tilted her head. "But she's usually in the gym."

"I already look in the cafeteria and the gym. She sometimes comes and swims a little, so I hoped to find her here," said Katie, pouting.

Noah put his book on the table and looked at her with a frown. "Are you saying she disappeared?"

"Oh, don't be silly," Lindsay laughed and waved her hand. "Maybe she's with Barbie surfing. They were on the same team after all."

"Barbie?" Katie furrowed her brown and then made a big smile. "Oh, you mean Bridgette! Yes, of course, she may be with her. I'll go and look at the beach. Thanks, Lindsay."

"I hope she can find Sandra," said Lindsay, while leaning on her chair.

"Me too," said Noah in a serious tone. His stomach was in knots, having a bad feeling about this.

That night the nine remaining contestants and the intern were gathered in the lobby. Katie was crying, and the others around her with concerned expressions. Even Eva seemed worried.

"Sadie…" Katie sobbed while Bridgette patted her back.

"But the Psycho killer was captured, right? There is no way she was kidnapped," said Cody, rubbing his arm nervously.

Justin shrugged. "Maybe she fell asleep in the lockers or her room."

"Fall asleep? Really?" asked Noah, glaring at Justin.

"Oh, sorry. I forget only the ugly ones can have ideas," said Justin, glaring back at the genius.

Katie shook her head. "I don't think so. Sadie would invite me to nap. Something must have happened."

"Let's not jump to conclusions," said DJ raising both arms. "Let's look for her around the resort. If we do it together, we'll finish in a moment."

"Great idea …!" Lindsay cheered and then looked at the Brickhouse with wide eyes, "…what was your name?"

"I'm DJ, but you already knew it, girl. You called me by my name a couple of times during the merge," said DJ, scratching his head.

Lindsay put out her tongue and hit her head lightly. "Sorry, I just forgot it."

"Ok, let's look for her one more time BUT in pairs," said Noah, looking at all the presents, "I don't want anyone else disappearing."

"That's a great idea, like making a tortilla," said Zeke trying to rap.

"You have done some silly rhymes in the past, but this is by far the worst," said Eva, cracking her knuckles. "But I'll help you like I did with your other nasty habit. Every time you do a stupid rhyme, I'll punch you."

Zeke gulped and tugged his shirt's collar. "Anyway, I'll go with Bridgette."

"Let's do our best, Zeke," said Bridgette, winking.

"I'll go with Justin then," said Nadia in a serene voice. "After all you're an odd number, and every girl would want to be paired with him, so it's the easier way to resolve that issue."

Justin just shrugged. Katie, Eva, and Lindsay seemed a little disappointed.

"Then I'll go with DJ!" shouted Lindsay enthusiastically.

"No problem girl, let's do this," replied DJ with the same enthusiasm.

Eva patted Katie's head, "I'll go with you. So stop crying and come with me."

"Thanks, Eva, you're a great friend," said Katie, drying a tear. "And thanks everyone, I'm sure Sadie is as grateful as me."

Cody looked around with wide eyes. "WHAT? All the ladies are taken? That sucks," said Cody sighing. "It seems it's you and me dude," Cody then turned and offered a high-five to his partner.

"Yes it seems so," said Noah, ignoring the brunette guy.

"Oh c'mon. Don't let me hanging," said Cody making a big smile.

Noah sighed and gave him a weak high five. The 5 teams then went around the island.

Cody and Noah were looking around the east wing of the building, specifically in the security room that Tyler and Zeke destroyed, which was in an even worse state after yesterday's explosion.

"Wow, look at this place. It has so many AVG cables in the wall that it must be some kind of security or production room. I wonder if they didn't have enough money to buy the screens?" said Cody rubbing his chin.

"Actually, there were some screens in the past, but as usual, there was an accident," said Noah, who was sitting at one of the few intact computers and checking the files, but he didn't have any luck.

The brunette guy nodded. "It's a shame. Because if we had the screens, we could have seen who kidnapped the guys."

"I know, in fact I was looking for the cam recordings, but I can't find them," said Noah, letting out a sigh.

"Let me help you," said Cody cracking his fingers, "I may look like a Casanova, but I'm actually quite good with computers."

Noah raised an eyebrow, "actually you look more like a computer nerd than a womanizer."

"Haha, nice joke," said Cody, he tried a couple of computers before finding a working one. "Ouch, they have windows as their OS, I expected something more robust."

"They probably just used whatever operating system came with the equipment. You think they would pay extra?" asked Noah while typing some commands on the computer. "By the way, to access as admin the user is 'admin,' and the password 'totalDrama2007.'"

"Really?" asked Cody, chuckling.

"Yes, top-notch security," said Noah, smirking.

Both were typing and looking around the system, but they couldn't find the files.

"Noah, I have good and bad news," said Cody, with a wide smile that showed the gap between his teeth. "The good one is that I found the recordings folder."

Noah stood up, "Really?"

"Yes, but the bad one is that folder is empty," said Cody, sighing.

"Are you sure that's the right folder?" asked Noah, looking at Cody's screen.

Cody nodded. "Yes, this file shows the configuration of the cameras, they record files after one-hour and save them in this path. And look, there are only the current files."

"And then what? Did it deletes the old files?" asked Noah, trying to make sense of this new information.

"No, that's what's weird. There are no routines or programs that deleted the videos, so they should be here," Cody rubbed his chin.

"Unless…" Noah blanched. "Damn it! We need to hurry and warn the others."

Cody furrowed his brown, but Noah was already at the door.

"Warn them what?" He asked, but it was too late. Cody followed him, not knowing what the Indian guy was talking about.

At the same time, Eva and Katie were looking for Sadie in the gym.

"SADIE! Where are you!?" shouted Katie, her voice cracking.

Eva rolled her eyes. "Stop shouting. If she didn't answer the first hundred times, she wouldn't answer now."

"But… What if something happened?" said Katie sobbing.

"Something like what? The Psycho Killer was captured, so she's fine… probably."

Katie shook her head. "No, there is no way she would leave without telling me."

"Well, even if it's true there is no use in getting worried," said Eva shrugging. "If something happened, you need to help her, as easy as that."

"I'm trying," said Katie in a lower tone.

"Really? I just see a girl sobbing and whining about her lost friend. Get your damn act together and help me find her," Eva glared at her, her tone cold and harsh.

However, for Katie it was exactly what she needed to hear. "Sorry, you're right, I need to help her."

Eva smirked. Katie began to look around with renewed passion. Suddenly she gasped.

"What happened?" asked Eva, running to her side.

"Look at this," Katie showed her a small pink ball.

"What's that? A marble?" asked Eva squinting her eyes.

Katie shook her head. "NO. It's one of Sadie's ballies!

"Ballies?"

"Yes, the balls we use to tie our hair, like mine" Katie lowered her head and showed the pink ball tie she used to make her pigtail."

"Oh, so…"

"This means someone kidnapped her!" said Katie, clenching her fist.

Eva furrowed her brow. "How can you be so sure?"

"Because Sadie would never break one of these, and even if it was an accident, she wouldn't leave it behind. I'm sure it's her way of telling me she is in danger. Hurry, we need to tell the rest."

Eva followed her, not sure about their finding. This was silly, but there was something in Katie's attitude that made the European girl believe her.

Outside near the woods, Justin and Nadia were walking, looking for clues. It was already dark, but the place was well-illuminated by the resort's lights.

"Are you sure we should be looking near the forest?" asked Justin, raising an eyebrow. "it's starting to get breezy out here."

"Yes, there is no use to keep looking around the pool, and also the cards told me there was something in the forest," said the intern, sounding confident.

The model shrugged. "As you wish, but let's take a quick look and go back to the hotel. The rocks and herbs are dirtying my toes."

"Hehe, I forgot you used sandals," Nadia turned to look at him while walking backward.

"What can I say? It's a crime to not show my beautiful feet," said Justin his smile sparkling.

Suddenly, the lights of the resort died out, leaving the forest in complete darkness?

"A blackout?" asked Justin, who then realized Nadia had disappeared.

"Hey girl, this isn't funny. Where are you?" shouted Justin, he tried to sound calm, but his voice was trembling.

There was nothing but woods around him, his eyes struggling to focus after the sudden blackout.

Then he felt a hit on his head, and everything turned black. Behind him was a person with a bat and a fish mask, who took Justin's unconscious body. As the stranger walked away, the lights returned to the resort as if nothing had happened.

And the Psycho killer isn't the kidnapper. Then who is the mysterious man with the Bass mask? And what Noah wants to tell the others? Find out in the next episode.

Some notes, Justin is Hawaiian, and there are a lot of traditions about occultism in the islands, so he isn't superstitious but believes there is something out there. The sentence Noah said "a pipe is just a pipe" is a version of Freud's quote, "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar," which means sometimes things are just as they look.

And as always thanks for the reviews and the favorites. This helps me to keep my motivation going. So please keep reviewing the episodes, knowing what you like is more than enough for me. And before ending this episode let me answer last week's reviews:

*danifan3000: Well, the Psycho killer wasn't on the island, but I'm sure if he was he would run away from Eva.

About the audition tapes and the family videos, I'm not sure. I will include them if I have time, but it depends on how the story develops.

*Total Simaniac: Well, you're partially right. It wasn't the Psycho killer who kidnapped Tyler, DJ is back, and also Martha didn't survive the episode.

Also as you say everyone is fine in the episode of playa, at least in the series ;)

*gman5846: Don't worry. Thanks for reviewing. Yes Linds and Tyler were happy for a moment, so let's hope things can work for the ex-contestants.

*MatiasND: It's the same day as the challenge, as you find out. But maybe the Psycho killer wasn't the culprit.

And yes poor Martha did what she could. Maybe Nadia will stay a bit more (or not.) At least DJ is back.

Thanks for reading and I hope you like it.
