They took Cass back to Dean's and Sam's rented apartment as Cass, now rested, sat down.
"Angels are real. I mean, it's one thing to hear it but seeing it…" Stefan trailed off.
"I can't believe that you're here." Bonnie said.
"Yeah, I've been trying to reach out, but for whatever reason I wasn't at full power so I couldn't connect to you." Cass explained.
"Would explain why we kept seeing him." Sam said.
"Yeah." Dean nodded before turning to Cass. "Look, man, I gotta be honest, how the hell did you make it out?"
"He's right." Bonnie said. "We all could've gotten out together but you pushed us through and pulled away at the last moment. Why did you stay behind?"
Cass sighed. "There was nothing you could do to save me because I didn't want to be saved."
"What do you mean?" Dean asked.
"It's where I belonged. I needed to do penance." Cass said, looking regretful. "After the things I did on Earth and in Heaven, I didn't deserve to be out and I saw that clearly when I was there." He sighed. "I planned to stay behind all along, I just didn't know how to tell you."
"Because of you playing God and killing other angels and people who defied you." Damon said, him and Stefan feeling some sympathies for Cass and remembering what had Bonnie told them.
"That's right." Cass said.
"Then if you stayed behind, how did you get out?" Bonnie asked and Cass sighed.
"That's the strange part. I have no idea." Cass said, giving them a profound look. "I remember endlessly running and hiding from the Leviathans and then I was on the side of the road in Illinois… and that was it."
"That was it?" Dean asked.
Cass nodded before he saw the shape he was in. "I'm dirty. Where's the bathroom?"
"That way." Stefan pointed as Cass got up and walked off before they heard the water running as Dean and Bonnie shot everyone the looks.
"You think he's lying?" Damon asked.
"I think something happened and he has no idea what." Dean said and Bonnie nodded.
"The shape that he was in, there was no way he could've fought his way out of that place alone." Bonnie said.
"OK, so someone… or something got him out." Alaric realized.
"The question is what?" Dean asked.
"Before we figure that out, there are other problems we have to deal with. Like Kai." Bonnie said.
"That siphoning jackass you told us about." Dean said.
"They said he sent the demons after us." Bonnie said.
"I thought that this Crowley guy was the King of Hell. How could Kai take over, for that matter, how did he escape?" Damon asked.
"My blood." Bonnie said as they turned to her. "I left some of it behind, when we got out, Kai must've somehow repaired the Ascendant and used it and my blood to escape the Prison World and if he found his way to Hell, with his siphoning powers, he could beat every demon in that place, Crowley included."
"Well, we'll deal with him. It's not the first douchebag with delusions of grandeur we've taken down. Though if he ganked Crowley, good riddance, I say." Dean said, taking a sip from his beer.
"Though I doubt it's good if Kai is King of Hell, like his father said, Kai's a psychopath." Bonnie said.
"In that case, time for a Q&A." Damon said as they turned to the closet and opened it to reveal one of the demons who had attacked them restrained to a chair with a bag on his head and in the center of the Devil's Trap sigil painted on the floor.
Hell
Sitting on the throne of Hell now, Kai was reading the newspapers and catching up on things. "These people don't know their style anymore these days."
A moment later, two of the demons approached Kai nervously.
"Any updates on Bonnie Bennett?" Kai asked.
"Well, we were unable to kill her because of her companions." One of the demons said. "The Winchester brothers."
"I see." Kai said, amused. "How hard can it be to kill two supernatural hunters?"
"With all due respect, many people have tried for over 10 years and while they did succeed, the Winchesters always found their way back. It'd be unwise to underestimate them." Another demon said.
"Alright and what about this Demon tablet you mentioned?" Kai asked.
"Well, we have an approximate location on Kevin Tran but—"
Kai raised his hand, when he heard groans, shutting them up as he turned to the cage at the far end of the throne room. "Doggie wants to speak."
One of the demons opened the cage as Crowley crawled out on his four with a collar around his neck chained to the wall. "How dare you?" He growled. "The lack of humility. That's no way to talk to your master…" He turned to Kai as he sounded like if he was tasting sour grapes. "My king."
"Good doggie." Kai smirked as he sighed, turning to the demons. "You said you had an approximate location, right?"
The demons nodded.
"Oh, time to do the heavy lifting, I guess." Kai sighed before he got up and raised his hand and next thing the demons in front of him knew, they screamed and spasmed before they collapsed, while Crowley stared.
"Bloody Hell." Crowley whispered.

"Rise and shine, buttercup." Dean said, pulling the bag off the demon.
"Why did you come after us? If Crowley didn't send you, who did? Kai?" Bonnie asked and the demon was silent.
"We can do this the boring way or the fun way." Damon said as he neared the demon. "Now, you may heal, but…" He grabbed the demon by his neck as he was about to twist. "I can also do this all day."
"Even if I knew anything, I'm not telling you." The demon said as he laughed. "And that's not gonna work on me and your weapons…" He turned to the Winchesters. "…may hurt me but torturing me ain't gonna help you and you can't compel me either. Even if I talked, you'll kill me anyway."
"Hmmm." Dean considered as Damon pulled away. "Looks like a stalemate to me."
"You mind if I borrow your knife? Been a while since I cut someone to pieces." Damon said as Dean looked at him annoyed and disgusted.
"Wait, wait, wait. OK. Look. I don't know how Kai got out but I heard the rumors about the Gemini coven, so I know who he is." The demon said. "Don't know how he found his way to Hell but he tore through half my buds before he put Crowley down and deposed him."
"Is Crowley dead?" Sam asked.
"I'm sure he wishes he was." The demon laughed.
"And now Kai's using the demons to get revenge on his family. Clever." Dean said.
"It's more than that. He wants the Demon tablet and the prophet. The Tran kid." The demon blurted as Dean, Sam and Bonnie looked at each other, alarmed.
Warsaw, Missouri
Kevin was drawing more warding against demons onto the windows on the ship he was hiding in before he sat at the table and began reading and translating the Demon tablet. There was something about it regarding sealing the Gates of Hell. If that was true, they could banish the demons from Earth forever.
"So… you're the prophet of the Lord."
Kevin was startled as he turned to see a young man in his early 20s across him. "Who—"
"Hey, Kevin. It's nice to meet you." Kai said.
"How'd you get through?" Kevin demanded.
"Because I'm not a demon. I'm a witch." Kai said, horrifying Kevin, who paled.
Garth and Linda were driving back to the docks, when they heard screams.
"Kevin?" Linda asked, confused.
They ran back in, when they saw that the tables had been flipped over, things trashed all over the floor and windows shattered and no trace of Kevin, when Garth pulled out his phone and dialed Dean's number.
McKinley
"We know where they are. We have to hurry." Dean said as they went out after killing the demon.
"What happens if Kai has Kevin translate this Demon tablet?" Stefan asked.
"If Kai is as crazy as his father says he is, with that tablet, he can unleash Hell on Earth." Sam said.
"Then we just put him down before he can spill the beans, problem solved." Damon said as everyone shot him looks.
"No. We're not killing him, Kevin's our friend. I failed him once, I can't do it again." Sam said.
"And you're willing to risk that Kai will use him to let demons walk the Earth? We can't take that chance." Damon asked.
"Even if it means killing an innocent kid? What the hell is wrong with you?" Dean asked.
"Just suggesting what has to be done." Damon said.
"No, what you're doing is doing your worst, when you can be better. Typical Damon." Dean spat, enraging Damon.
"Excuse me?" Damon snarled, infuriated.
"Bonnie and Stefan told me about you and I read up about you as well. You have so much potential to do your best but it's far easier for you to do your worst because that's what you are and you blame everyone but yourself for it." Dean growled, nearing Damon until their faces were inches apart from each other.
"Dean, enough." Sam said.
"Hey, everyone calm down, we're on the same side here." Stefan said as they tried to diffuse the situation but there was no going back now.
"You don't know me, so don't assume—" Damon growled.
"I know enough. Fell in love with the same woman who turned out to be a vampire and turned both you and your brother. You vowed to make your brother's life a living Hell for turning you, even though you love the power." Dean snarled. "I may have my issues with my brother too but we care about each other and would move Heaven and Hell for each other, you, what you do is only looking out for yourself, even though you try to help Stefan, Bonnie, Jeremy, at the end you choose yourself because you're the same brand of cockroach I've been squashing my whole life."
Damon's pupils turned red as he showed his fangs and threw a punch but Dean blocked with his arm and threw Damon down before Damon got up.
Stefan and Sam were about to intervene but stopped when Cass stepped up and gave them a look that said 'Trust him.'
"You're really pissing me off now." Damon said.
"What are you gonna do about it?" Dean taunted, dropping his jacket as he raised his hands. "You wanna fight, Damon? Come at me!"
Damon snarled in rage as he blurred at Dean who pulled out his demon-killing knife.
And here we go, one of the things I've been looking forward to writing, Dean vs. Damon. I'm thinking that the next chapters after that are going to finish the Kai business, since frankly, with Bonnie already out, there's not really a reason to let Kai roam around and I wasn't planning on this story to be very long, but there is still one storyline in SPN I'm going to apply here.
I hope I will make the fight good. Some of the parts are from Aragorn II Elessar's 'Champion vs. Bad boy' where Angel from Buffyverse fought Damon.
So, what do you guys think?
