Chapter 12: Double Agent II

"Is the prisoner ready for interrogation?" King Carl asked the soldiers guarding him.

"Affirmative, Your Majesty." One of the soldiers answered.

"My King, may I be honest?" Another soldier asked.

"You may." King Carl answered.

"Gelo Boynski is a traitor who stubbornly keeps refusing to turn on Lubek, my King." The soldier said. "Why don't we just let him rot?"

"Gelo Boynski is the only one of Lubek's followers under our custody. Everyone else either remains at large or is doing time in an American prison." King Carl pointed out. "He might be our best hope of identifying and locating those still at large. Not to mention that this is our first try after letting him know Lubek has been captured."

Meanwhile, in Amity Park, Danny Phantom was sucking some ghost eels into a Fenton Thermos. "Bye bye, eels."

"Bye bye, whelp." Danny heard Skulker reply and started turning around when a blast hit him. "Got ya, whelp." Skulker said.

"Think again, Skulker." Danny replied and shot his own blasts at Skulker.

"I'll have your pelt on my wall and nothing can stop me." Skulker declared.

"Then call me 'nothing'." A new voice said. It was someone dressed in black and that included a black mask albeit the hair decorations clued Danny in. That someone was wearing special gloves and boots that helped hit Skulker, who was rendered weak enough to be sucked into a Fenton Thermos.

"Thank you for your help, nothing." Danny said and giggled.

"You're welcome, Danny Phantom." Nothing replied. "Still meeting your friends this afternoon?"

"Of course." Danny answered.

That afternoon, Danny, Sam, Tucker, Jazz and Princess 'Nothing' Natasha were at the former's room. "So, those gloves and boots are inventions made by one of the spies on your Dad's service to help you fight ghosts?" Danny was impressed.

"Yup." Natasha eagerly replied.

"Tucker, you must make me some anti-ghost weaponry!" Sam desperately told the techno-geek.

"What's wrong, Sam?" Danny asked his goth friend.

"She must be afraid she and Tucker will be replaced now that your girlfriend has her own techno geek to help you, little brother." Jazz theorized.

"Don't worry, Sam." Danny said. "You and Tucker have been friends of mine even before I had my powers. I'm not replacing you."

"I wouldn't blame you if you did." Tucker commented, earning a glare from Sam.

"Tucker, don't tempt him." Sam said while hissing at him. "A Princess who not only kicks butt but also uses her family's resources to help Danny can make us unnecessary."

"Necessary or not to ghost fighting, you guys are my friends and I'm not replacing you anytime." Danny reassured them.

"I'm glad to hear it, Danny." Sam commented.

Meanwhile, back in Zoravia, King Carl kept interrogating the prisoner. "Gelo Boynski, why won't you accept our deal?" The King of Zoravia asked.

"Because I don't believe your tale about the Great One being locked away in some American prison." Gelo answered. "Nothing you say or do will make me betray my comrades in our quest to restore Zoravia's true King back to power."

King Carl was frustrated. "Gelo Boynski, I didn't want to do this but you leave me no choice." He said and then addressed his soldiers. "Men, initiate Protocol M."

"Your Majesty, are you sure?" One of the soldiers asked.

"Unfortunately." King Carl answered. One of the other soldiers left and returned with someone Gelo knew and feared. His mother.

"No!" Gelo pleaded. "Anything but her!"

"The ship has sailed, Gelo Boynski." King Carl replied and then talked to Gelo's mother. "Mrs. Boynski, I'll leave you alone with your son."

Later on, Danny and Natasha were at the mall. "What do we do first, Danny?" Natasha asked.

"How about you ditch the loser for someone who's more of a Prince Charming material, babe?" Dash asked as he revealed himself to the couple.

"Are you for real or are you applying for court jester?" Natasha asked, already not liking Dash.

"Lady, if you were not a girl, I'd hit you for it." Dash threatened.

"Yeah, because you know you can't play the victim card when we hit back." Natasha tauntingly replied.

"I avoid hitting girls, but Fenton here is not a girl, so…" Dash said.

"Leave him alone." Natasha demanded.

"He won't be alone if you stay with him." Dash pointed out.

"Shouldn't you be dating some cheerleader?" Natasha asked.

"For some reason, they think I'm too full of myself and only hang out with me because I'm an A-Lister." Dash explained, not figuring out Natasha was teasing him. "But it doesn't matter because being a Princess makes you better than them."

"No, thank you." Natasha replied. "I prefer Danny."

"Ok, you asked for it." Dash replied and tried to hit Natasha only for her to block his attempts until two guards showed up. "Leave that girl alone." One of them ordered.

"It was their fault." Dash whined.

"Don't lie!" The other guard ordered. "We saw you trying to hit that girl. By the way, nice self-defense. Who taught you? My daughter could learn a thing or two."

"I'm a foreign exchange student, Sir." Natasha politely explained. "I've learned my fighting prowess back in Eastern Europe."

"Never mind, then." The guard said as they took Dash away, mentioning something about calling his parents.

"I'm glad I didn't need to actually fight." Natasha commented. "The local authorities might have sided with that bully over me."

"Couldn't you invoke diplomatic immunity to avoid jail time?" Danny asked his girlfriend.

"Had I done so, I'd be forced to leave your country." Natasha answered. "Unlike what some stories suggest, that's how diplomatic immunity works. My best hope would be Dad talking the authorities out of dropping charges or waiving my immunity and hiring a lawyer."

"Isn't your immunity yours to waive?" Danny asked in confusion, not understanding how it worked.

"No, Danny." Natasha answered. "Since people cannot tell if the accused who waive their immunity are being forced or not, diplomatic immunity can only be negated by the Government that issues it."

"And how often does it happen?" Danny asked, this time more curious than confused.

"As often as a foreign diplomat or someone who shares their immunity for being their family or their diplomatic team is caught doing something so shameful that simply having them tried under their homeland's justice system isn't enough for their Government to save face, Danny." Natasha explained. "There was a case in Boston, Massachusetts where a guy who killed his wife and her lover but, since his Dad was a Croatian diplomat, diplomatic immunity saved him from prison but at the cost of having to leave America. Of course, in my case there's a chance of only having to stay out for a brief period of time but, scandals aside, I'm not willing to take chances."

"I think I recall something about that." Danny commented. "Did that guy receive punishment under Croatian justice?"

Before Natasha had a chance to answer Danny's question, he felt his ghost sense. "Excuse me, I need…" Danny said but Natasha interrupted him.

"I know, Danny." The Crown Princess of Zoravia said, already familiar with Danny's ghost sense. Danny then ran away.

"Hahahahahahahahahaha!" Technus laughed. "I, Technus, master of all thing electronic and beeping, will use the technology of every device in this mall to take over the world!" He declared and realized what he just said. "I did it again, right?"

Danny Phantom then showed up. "Yes, you did. Now prepare to say 'ouch'."

"Why would I say…" A confused Technus was in the middle of asking when Danny punched him. "Ouch. Oh, I got it!" After recovering from that, he made an armor with the stolen electronics and started going after Danny.

Meanwhile, Natasha was talking to Oleg via booferphone. "All cameras turned off, Oleg?"

"Affirmative, Natasha." Oleg replied.

"Thank you, Oleg." Natasha said. "Now it's time to save Danny."

Meanwhile, back in Zoravia, Gelo Boynski had finished delivering his fellow comrades. "Are you sure it's the whole list?" The King asked the double agent.

"Yes!" Gelo desperately answered. "I'll tell whatever you want but please keep her away from me!"

"Guards, escort the prisoner back to his cell and bring him his meal." King Carl ordered.

"If not for the King's order, I'd gladly let this traitor starve." One of the guards commented in disgust.

Meanwhile, back in Amity Park, thanks to Natasha disabling Technus' armor, Danny Phantom sucked the master of long-winded speeches into a Fenton Thermos. "Where does a Princess learn to do that?" Sam asked as she and Tucker watched everything.

"Sam, did you just quote Disney's Aladdin?" Tucker asked in surprise.

"Honestly, Tucker, it's been so long ever since I watched that episode I'm not sure if those were his exact words." Sam confessed.

"Fair enough." Tucker conceded. "I'm not sure either."

"Sam, Tucker, what're you doing here?" Danny Fenton asked after returning from wherever he went to change from Danny Phantom without being seen.

"I'm buying a new horror movie." Sam answered.

"I'm buying a new PDA." Tucker answered and then held his current one. "But don't worry, Cindy. You're getting a companion, not a substitute."

"Ewww." Natasha replied.

"You'll get used to it, Natasha." Danny replied but later felt the need to add "Kinda".

"Danny, since the ghost has already been dealt with, how about we continue our date?" Natasha suggested.

"Care for a pizza, my Princess?" Danny asked.

"Sure, Danny." Natasha answered. Disgusted at her friend and his girlfriend being so mushy, Sam left.

That night, Danny was telling his family about the date. "Son, I'm glad you and Natasha enjoyed it but I must ask: did you get a good look at the Black Huntress?" Jack eagerly asked.

"Black what?" Danny asked in shock.

"The Black Huntress, Danny." Jack answered. "That's what I'm calling the new Huntress who showed up to fight Phantom and the other ghost since, unlike the red one, she wears black instead of red from what I heard. Too bad something went wrong with the cameras."

"Actually, Dad, she and Phantom were fighting Te… the other ghost." Danny explained.

"How disappointing." Maddie commented.

"Hopefully she just decided the other ghost was worth a truce with Phantom." Jack tried to reassure his wife. "I know what it's like."

"Speaking of that, Jack, I've noticed you seem to hate the Wisconsin Ghost, or Vlad Plasmius as he says his name is, more than usual." Maddie commented. "What happened?"

"I cannot lie to you, Maddie." Jack somberly replied and Maddie understood how serious it was. Jack explained about Plasmius' intention to get rid of him and getting her, reminding her of another Vlad they knew.

"Uh, Jack, remember of when Danny and I went to that DALV meeting?" Maddie asked, making Danny worried that his mother might have connected the dots.

"Uh, yes." Jack answered with a confused tone and Maddie explained how Vlad Masters was plotting to convince the two of them to ditch Jack for him. "What? I can't believe it! Yes, you're so amazing he might have loved you as well…"

"Oh, thank you, dear." Maddie replied.

"But you made your choice." Jack continued. "Even if he blamed me for the proto-portal accident to the point of thinking friendship codes no longer applied to us, he had to respect at least that."

"The accident." Maddie said. "I'm glad you've brought that up. I believe Vlad is the Wisconsin Ghost."

"Duh, that's what he said his name was." Jack replied. "Vlad Plasmius."

"I meant Vlad Masters, Jack." Maddie explained. "I know we usually believe humans cannot have ghost powers but the accident might have turned Vlad Masters into Vlad Plasmius."

"Nonsense, Mads." Jack commented. "By that logic, Danny would've gotten ghost powers from when he activated our portal and that would've rendered him unable to touch you when you wore the deflector belt."

"Yeah!" Danny quickly jumped into that 'evidence'. "I even wore it myself. What'd have happened to me back then if I were a ghost?"

"You're right, son." Maddie said. "Sorry for suspecting you."

"It's okay, Mom." Danny replied, still as quick. "Now, if you excuse me, I have to phone Natasha to see if she made it safely back to Zoravia, Illinois." He said and ran to his bedroom.

"He was too quick to end our conversation, wasn't he?" Jack asked his wife.

"Yes, Jack." Maddie answered.

End chapter.

Author's Note: The Croatian Diplomat's son story is an episode of a live-action series called "The Practice".

Answer to Leonardo (Guest): Provavelmente não. A possibilidade de que o Rei e a Rainha reajam a um ataque desses revelando o segredo do Vlad sem se importar com o que aconteça com o Danny é muito alta.
