Our dear agents Azula and Sokka,

an important mission awaits you two. As you may know, the precious historical stones of Ba Sing Se university were stolen two years ago. Our top agents have found the thief.

Family Load, one of the richest families of the Earth Kingdom. Their son is marrying soon. The wedding is going to take place in a week on Ba Sing Se Island. Our team has organized invitations.

You two are yet unknown to the family. Your accomplishment as a duo team is appreciated by all of us. We know we can trust you two with this important mission.

Your mission is to attend the wedding and find Mr. Load, the father of the groom who is in possession of the stones. He has a private room in the event building where we believe the stones are hidden. Our agents will attend the event undercover and some of them will wait in the island forests outside the building in case of bigger emergency.

You'll be brought with our boat to the island. All arrangements are taken care of already.

One important thing: You're expected to attend the wedding as a couple.

In short: Pretend to be a couple and bring us the stones safely.

Azula slowly rose her head and eyed Sokka after reading the last line of the letter that arrived minutes ago. He was sitting on the couch while listening intently to her. Azula raised her eyebrows and Sokka slowly smirked.

A week has passed, and the boat was nearing Ba Sing Se Island. The huge luxury building wasn't easy to miss.

Azula's hands were resting on the railing, her hair waving from the wind. They planned everything with Sokka, no open space. Yet she could still feel a small rush of excitement. This was their first mission undercover, were they had to act like a couple.

Sokka was standing next to her. Out of nothing, he took her hand into his which surprised her. Azula looked up to see him smiling. His other hand reached inside his pocket, and he pulled out...

A ring.

She eyed him suspiciously.

"We are pretending to be engaged right? Engaged people wear matching rings. So..." Sokka said.

Azula looked at him perplexed. He blushed, still holding her hand gently. Of course, he would do that. Sokka was the only man in the world who would think of something like that while they were on an undercover mission. And the only man whose life goal seemed to make her blush. When did he buy those rings. They surely looked real. So very real.

"Yeah..." Azula managed to say, "I doubt it's really necessary, but admittedly it looks more convincing."

"So, you allow me to put it on your finger?" Sokka asked. "I already put mine on" he showed his other hand with the engagement ring on his finger.

He couldn't just give it her could he? He needn't hold her hand and ask her if he was allowed to put that engagement ring for her. She could put it on herself. But he decided to embarrass her yet again. To make shivers go down her spine again.

Usually, they were playful and close... friends. Maybe too caring, but still friends. On occasion though, moments like this convinced her there were definitely not usual friends.

"Yeah, sure." was all she managed to say.

Sokka put the ring lovingly on her finger while looking at her as if... as if loving her? As if this was real?

"You know, we don't need to act like a couple on the boat Sokka." Azula said.

"Come on now Azula, we should prepare and be ready!" he replied, smiling still. Holding her hand still.

She took her hand away.

Half an hour later they reached the harbor. The sky turned darker. The wedding guests were greeted on the harbor since the building was a short walk away from it.

Sokka waited on deck. His usual wolf's tail was smooth. A strand of hair was hanging loose on one side of his forehead. Black pants, black shirt and a west in the color of dark red that almost looked black too.

His sleeves were rolled up slightly so that some of his forearm muscles were visible.

"I hope you won't be distracted by the buffet."

He was walking around until he heard her voice. He stopped and turned abruptly to greet her. And he froze at the sight of her.

Azula was wearing a tight fitted midi dress in the color of dark seductive red that reached the middle of her lower legs. A slit that reached her knee. Her decolletage was covered but her pale shoulders and neck were on plain sight.

A perfect ponytail with her trademark bangs hanging around her beautiful face. Rose gold ear studs. Lips colored in a bolder shade of red than usual, and eyelids lined with a thin black liner that made the color of amber glow more.

Sokka swallowed hard.

"Sokka?" Azula said when he didn't speak.

He shook his head to focus.

"Ehm, yeah I might be distracted hehe" he said. But not by food he thought to himself.

For some seconds they just stood there. Neither saying nor doing anything.

"Are we going now Sokka?" Azula finally asked.

"Yes of course!" he squeaked. She smiled at that.

Before Azula started to walk Sokka stretched his arm. They hugged many times. They held hands many times when they were running away from rebels or saved the other from falling. It always felt good since they were best friends who trusted each other with their lives. But this concept was a completely different feeling.

Azula slid her arm around his elbow, and he walked with her like a king holding her queen proud and protective.

Extravagant was no word. The event salon was more than that. Huge and decorated with rich and expensive stuff. Although many people attended the wedding it wasn't crowded.

Azula and Sokka were given a table next to the cousins of the groom. The food buffet opened, and some people already danced.

"We shouldn't linger here for too long, we should find ways to get into the room." Azula leaned in and whispered to Sokka.

"I know. I need to find the bathroom first." Sokka replied with a grin. "I don't want to leave you alone here, maybe you should come too?"

Azula rolled her eyes, and he stood up. He didn't want to leave her behind to prying eyes, but he would be quick. She sipped on her orange juice.

Sokka got out from the bathroom and stopped on his heels when he looked at the table him and Azula shared. A vein popped up his neck and his pulse went higher and higher with anger.

"Can I have this dance pretty lady?"

Azula looked up to see who it was. An unknown man. An agent from Mr. Load maybe?

"I'm afraid my fiancé wouldn't be fond of the idea to see me dancing with a stranger." Azula replied.

"That's very sad. You could still honor me with one dance no matter if he likes it or not."

"No. I only dance with my fiancé." Azula knew Sokka would give any other girl the same answer too.

The stranger didn't leave. Azula could knock him out with one punch right there, but she didn't want to cause any trouble and get attention from the wedding guests.

Before she could think further a strong hand shoved the stranger away harshly.

"Her fiancé would kill anyone who nears her without her will!" Sokka growled.

Azula smirked.

"Go find the likes like you and never dare near my fiancé again!" Sokka told the man. His eyes could set the guy on fire.

It would be a lie if Azula thought she wasn't impressed. She was indeed. He was always protective, but this was more than protective. Jealousy?

"Convincing" Azula said when Sokka turned to her.

"I know right?" he said. "Well, we should dance too don't you think? You would spare me from murdering a guy."

Azula raised an eyebrow yet smiled "We shouldn't keep it too long though."

She stood up and they walked to the dance floor.

Sokka immediately took her one hand in his and put the other on his shoulder. Then he boldly put his strong arm around her waist and pulled her towards him almost pressing her into his chest. His eyes bore into her's.

"You're bold." Azula said, taken slowly aback.

"You're beautiful." Sokka said.

Azula smiled at him and for a moment they forgot why they were here. Dancing slowly, feeling every part of their skin touching and examining their faces.

"Admit it" Azula said smirking "You were jealous of that man."

"Haha, who is he? Not a chance. Sokka is never jealous!" he answered proudly.

"Really?"

"Uhm, yes?" Sokka grew suspicious.

"So, if I would dance with someone else here. Or if I would have freely danced with that guy, you wouldn't have felt even a pang of jealousy?" she asked.

When no answer came she went further.

"I can try it out..."

"No, you can't." Sokka squeaked.

Azula laughed softly.

"Okay, I, I admit: I don't want any other man close to you." he said seriously.

His hand on her back climbed higher and stopped on her neck. He started caressing her skin tenderly with his fingertips.

Azula's breath hitched. She could just close her eyes and let herself fall into him. Their foreheads neared and neared until...

A snarl interrupted their moment. Two people attacked them.

The sister and brother of the groom. Some guests panicked and ran away while others just gave space and watched as if they were used to action-packed weddings.

Azula and the woman kept fighting. Sokka managed to lead the man into a room nearby whilst fighting. He forced the man to sit on a chair around the big table. If looks could kill, the man in front of Sokka would be long dead.

"Where. Are. The. Stones?" he stretched his words calm yet scary.

No answer.

"Tell me where the stones are?!" Sokka yelled this time.

He took him by the collar and pressed him against the wall.

"I'm asking one last time."

Agents entered the room, just in case Sokka needed help.

"Our men are going to take care of your father, you better tell us where the stones are now yourself before things get ugly." said one the agents.

Azula fought the woman efficiently. Despite the woman wasn't a bad fighter, she was no match for Azula. She missed fighting. All her energy was leaving her system and she enjoyed it.

They jumped and broke a door, landing on a big table. Azula's slit on her dress showed a good part of her leg now. With a force she pushed the woman away harshly, so she fell hard on the ground losing orientation.

"Azula!" Sokka screamed.

He ran to her side and helped her off the table.

The son told them the whereabouts of the stones. Agents of Azula and Sokka's team took both siblings of the groom out of the room.

Azula was panting. One of her arms rested around Sokka's neck, one of his around her waist kept her close to him.

"Are you hurt?" he asked.

She smirked at that "Who do you think I am partner?"

"The most beautiful and strong partner ever!" he replied winking at her.

Azula understood what he implied. When she said partner, she referred to them as a duo team. Yet he didn't miss the opportunity to twist it and make another implication.

"Azula, Sokka, we are thankful for your work. We will take care of the rest. This was easier than we thought honestly. Mr. Load made a mistake with sending his son to fight us." The agent told them chuckling. "Mr. Load tried to reach his ship by the harbor, but our team caught him. Your boat is ready to take you to Ba Sing Se or wherever else you want."

Azula used the bathroom to refreshen up, removing the remaining of her make up. Sokka watched the night sky on deck.

"Lost in deep thoughts again?" Azula smiled, joining him.

He turned to look at her. She grew wary since he was looking at her like he was in a dream. One of his hands was on the railing.

"Where were we?" he asked.

"Where?" Azula asked back. Though she had an idea what he might mean.

"You know, we were dancing. And I remember how you admitted that you are jealous." he said smirking.

"Me? That was you." she said smiling.

"Ah right, it was me."

Azula blushed slightly and looked away shortly.

"You are even more beautiful with your bare face." he added.

"You seem to be mesmerized by my face pretty often." she said.

"Always are. Because you are mesmerizing Azula. Everything about you is."

She didn't expect such earnest eyes while he spoke those words. It did take her by surprise. A nice surprise, one that she welcomed dearly.

They both leaned closer towards each other.

"The ring. I should give it back." Azula whispered. Her eyes were only half open.

"No" Sokka replied, touching her hand "Keep it. I want you to wear it around your finger. Will keep mine too."

His hand on the railing now held her back, pressing her on his chest. The other hand brushed one of her bangs behind her ear gently and slipped down her neck, staying there.

"Azula" he whispered against her lips.

"Sokka" she whispered back.

"We aren't friends on a mission pretending to be a couple."

"What are we then?" she leaned back slowly, to look up into his eyes.

"I love you!" he told her. She imagined him saying those words to her many times. It was like a dream. She feared when she looked away, he would disappear. But he didn't. He continued to make her dreams come true.

"I'm in love with you Azula. I can't pretend like there is nothing between us. I can't pretend to be just your friend anymore. There is something going on between us for a longer time. I..." he was desperate for a moment, she could see it in the way she felt him tremble "I want to be the man that makes you happy. I want to be with you forever."

"I..." Azula wasn't good with words in these moments. Instead of replying verbally with all her feelings for him, she settled for a whisper saying "okay" and leaned in to touch his delicious lips.

Sokka replied immediately. His hands were holding her firm and close. Azula put her hands on his broad chest, holding on his clothes.

Lips parted and tongues joined in.

Nothing felt better than admitting feelings to the person you love and find out said feelings are mutual. Breaking free to love that person freely and fully from now onwards was pure ecstasy.

Azula pulled aways shortly to catch her breath, only for Sokka to claim her mouth again, for which she was grateful. Their kiss grew heated and desperate this time. She put her arms around his neck, and he hugged her with his.

Few minutes later Azula rested her head on his shoulder. Sokka buried his head in her neck, kissing her skin every now and then and taking in her scent.

A/N: This was one those prompts that didn't inspire me at all at first. After thinking about it a while ago, an idea came to my mind and I couldn't stop from dreaming about it. Now, this prompt became my favorite this year. And not just because it reminds me of Kim Possible, because some parts are indeed inspired by my favorite show.

It takes place in the world of Avatar but it's a more "modernish" AU. With more developments. I imagine the event they visit is similar to the place Kim and Ron visit in So The Drama.

Shoutout to the person who suggested this prompt!=D
