Harry and Teddy were standing by the tunnel that led to the players' locker room after the Championship match. Harry stood with a cane in his hand as he and Teddy watched Ginny, still in her quidditch kit, greeting and talking with the fans. It was an exciting match. The Harpies managed to beat Portree by a mere 50 points to win the Championship Cup and Ginny had won the MVP award, again. Harry had been discharged from St. Mungo's just yesterday morning on the promise that he follow up with his private healer for exams, outpatient therapy, and potion refills for his wounded leg. He saw Madam Pomfrey just this morning for his first exam. She's been Harry's private healer since the end of the war. The wound on his left leg was caused by a modified Petrificus Totalus curse. Not only did it bind the whole body, but it permanently petrified the victim, spreading out from the point of impact ultimately killing the victim. St. Mungo's expert curse breakers got it sorted out and whipped up a potion to counter the effects, but the healing was slow going. The curse had spread through a good portion of his leg and there was no guarantee that the potion would totally reverse the effects from the curse before the effects became permeant.

Teddy looked up at Harry and said, "Gran told me not to ask."

Harry fully knew what Teddy was going to ask but he wanted Teddy to feel he could talk to Harry about anything. Harry asked, "Ask about what Teddy?"

Teddy got slightly embarrassed as he asked, "Why do you need a cane to help you walk?"

Harry smiled, "Well, I got hurt at work."

Teddy's eyes went wide, "Was it from a bad wizard?" Harry simply nodded yes.

Teddy asked, "Did you get him?"

Harry nodded again as he said, "We sure did. He was arrested and he's now waiting for his trial."

Teddy smiled. He knew his godfather always got the bad wizards.

A woman approached Harry and Teddy and said, "Excuse me Mr. Potter, I'm Betty Braithwaite from the Daily Prophet. Can you tell our readers why you're walking with a cane?"

Harry glanced over at Ginny still talking with fans and posing for photos with them. He told the woman, "I'm not your story today." He pointed over to Ginny, "Your story is over there. Ginny scored 8 goals, assisted on 9 more, and won the MVP award of the match. She made a lot of great plays today and her flying was the best I've ever seen. That's your story Ms. Braithwaite, not me and my cane." Disappointed, Betty Braithwaite walked away.

Harry watched Ginny shake hands, pose for photos, and sign autographs all with a smile. She really did love it. The fans made it all worthwhile for her. The queue of fans was always larger for Ginny than any other player. The fans that flocked to her were all ages and from all different walks of life from the wizarding world. She never went to the locker room until she had met with everyone.

She turned in Harry's direction and flashed a smile just for him. Harry waved back and mouthed, "Take your time." Ginny smiled again and blew him a kiss. Harry never rushed her. No matter what they had to do after a match, everything else could wait. He knew how much this meant to her. Harry knew that Ginny never took the fans for granted.

The children were always the most excited to meet Ginny. She would get down to their level when they wanted a photo and autographed whatever they wanted her to. The boys were always cute, and you could tell that some of them had a crush on her. Ginny usually saw them blush when they talked to her, and she made sure to give those boys a quick peck on the cheek. "Think of the story he'll tell," she would say to Harry. Ginny always encouraged the girls she met to be themselves, be proud of who they were, and if they wanted to play quidditch, they should.

After a bit, there was only one girl with a woman that Harry assumed was here mum waiting to meet Ginny. The mum and girl looked a little disheveled and wearing hand-me down robes. The little girl looked to be about five years old and had dirty blonde hair done in a braid with wisps of hair everywhere. The mum looked about Harry and Ginny's age and had the same color hair. Ginny seemed to take a particular interest in them. Seeing as they were the only two fans left to see Ginny, Harry and Teddy moved a bit closer.

The little girl looked at Ginny in awe. Then, with a determined look, she stated matter-of-factly, "Mrs. Potter, you were incredible. When I grow up, I'm gonna play quidditch too."

Ginny got down on one knee and wrapped the girl up in a hug, "Thank you sweetheart! What's your name?"

Wide eyed, the little girl said, "My name is Isabella, but you can call me Bella." The girl pointed to her mum, "And this is my mum. My Da is at work. He couldn't make it."

Ginny stood and said, "It's very nice to meet you Bella. Nice to meet you too Mum. I'm so glad the two of you could come today." With a fake pout on her face, Ginny added, "I'm sorry your Da missed the match." She then shook the mother's hand.

Bella giggled, "Can we get a picture?"

Ginny grinned, "Of course we can!" Ginny then kneeled back down for the photographer on hand and the photo was snapped.

Bella grinned and said, "I know everything about you. I know you're married to Mr. Potter, but you don't have any babies yet. Mr. Potter is an auror, whatever that it. I know this is the fourth time you've won the MVP award, whatever that is, and that the Harpies have won the Championship Cup three times! You've made the all-star team, whatever that is, every year." Ginny chuckled as Bella continued, "I know you grew up in Devon, wherever that is, and now live in London. You have six brothers, but one died, I'm sorry about that." Bella took a deep breath.

Ginny smiled, "You sure do know everything about me."

Bella just beamed with pride. She then told Ginny, "When the season started, I started saving all my allowance so I could see you. I even sold some of my toys that I don't play with anymore. Isn't that right Mum?" Bella's mum just smiled and nodded. Bella continued without missing a beat, "We sat up real high in the stands too. It was great! This was my first match and I'm meeting you!"

Ginny smiled as she looked down at Bella, "Well, you picked a great match for your first one! So, what position do you want to play when you get older?"

Bella grinned so wide all her teeth showed, "I'm gonna be a chaser, just like you!"

Ginny smiled. She could feel her eyes starting to well up. She could tell that this little girl and her mum didn't have a lot. The thought of this little girl selling off her toys just to get tickets to a match so she could meet her reminded Ginny of where she came from and made her thankful for what she had now. Ginny saw a lot of herself in that little girl. She could tell that Bella was strong and confident in herself and, just like Ginny, came from humble beginnings. Ginny looked at Bella and saw the worn, hand-me down robes with patches over the elbows, the messy hair that was hastily tied into a braid, and smudges of soot on her face from using the floo network. It started tugging at her heartstrings. She couldn't believe that she had such an affection for this little girl in such a short amount of time of meeting her.

Ginny took off her gloves and arm guards and placed them on the ground by her feet. Then she took off her jersey. Ginny stood there in just her black under shirt and black quidditch pants. She then handed the jersey to Bella. Ginny said, "Here sweetheart. You take this and when you get older and start playing quidditch, I'll be sure to come and see you play."

Bella's mum wiped her eyes dry as she watched the exchange.

Bella's eyes were as big as gallons as she held up Ginny's jersey. She looked at the green jersey in awe as she examined the yellow letters that spelled out Potter right above the huge number six on the back. Bella immediately slipped the jersey over her head, "Thank you, Mrs. Potter!" The jersey was so big it looked like it swallowed Bella whole. Ginny smiled as she rolled up the sleeves so Bella could use her hands.

Ginny smiled at the little girl and said, "My friends call me Ginny. Can we get a few more photos?"

Bella laughed, "Friends?! You bet Ginny!"

Ginny chuckled while she and Bella posed for the photographer as he snapped away. Ginny looked over at Bella's mum, "How about we get a couple with your mum too."

Bella smiled, "YES! Come on Mum!"

Bella's mum stood on the other side of her daughter and the photographer took a couple of more photos.

Ginny then turned to Bella, "Well Bella, it was wonderful to meet you and your mum, but I have to go." She motioned over to Harry and Teddy, "Mr. Potter and his godson Teddy are waiting to take me out to celebrate. To get your photos, all you have to do is give the photographer your name and he'll send them to you when they're ready. OK?"

Bella nodded with a smile, "OK. It was great meeting you too Ginny," as her mum gave the photographer all their information.

Ginny hugged Bella and her mum goodbye then they started to walk away. Ginny picked up her gloves and arm guards. She told the photographer, "I want copies of all those photos. Do me favor, send her all the photos and be sure to enlarge the best ones for her." The photographer smiled and nodded. She then called out to Bella, "Bella! Do you have an owl?"

Bella turned around and nodded, "We got one last year!"

Ginny smiled, "Be sure to let me know when you start playing quidditch!"

Bella and her mum smiled. Bella shouted back, "You bet!"

Ginny turned and started walking towards Harry and Teddy. She finally let the tears that welled up escape. That little girl just touched her heart in ways no other fan has. Ginny wasn't sure if it was the fact that she was poor or that she spoke with such determination, but there was something there for sure. Bella reminded Ginny so much of herself when she was that young that it was uncanny. Once Ginny reached Harry and Teddy, she ruffled Teddy's hair as he smiled up at her. Harry leaned on his cane and gave Ginny a hug. He wiped her eyes dry and kissed her. Ginny scooped up Teddy and placed him on her hip as he lay his head on her shoulder. Ginny turned around and watched Bella and her mum walk out of the stadium. She turned back and they started to walk into the tunnel to the locker room.

Harry took Ginny's free hand in his, "I'd say you made quite the impression, but I think it was the other way around."

Ginny nodded. As she grinned, Ginny yelled out, "I love this game!"
