Walking out of the house, Anya was walking towards the gate when she noticed a few figures approaching. When she noticed that they were all wearing the same masks as Slade, she started to panic and run.

But the men with masks ran faster as Anya tripped and tried to crawl away. Letting out a shriek, she was kicked and sent flying into the pedestals and was left bleeding out. She wasn't dead, but she was slowly dying.

One of the Mirakuru men walked up and was ready to deliver the final blow. Raising his fist in the air to finish her off, he suddenly stopped when someone grabbed him by the fist.

When he turned to see who did it, he saw that it was Peter standing tall and wearing his Spider-Man suit. He was back and ready to defend his loved ones.

"Don't. Touch. My. Friend." Peter warned the man, grabbing his fist and swinging him around before tossing him into the second guy.

Then a third guy comes carrying a sword and tried to stab him in the back. But Peter sensed it coming and quickly leaped out of the way and went over him. Once he was above the Mirakuru soldier, Peter grabbed him by the head and as he reached the ground, threw the third one across and smacked into the wall.

The second guy however wasn't done yet as he got back up before Peter could react and grabbed him by the throat. Peter punched him in the face, but it seems this one got used to his strength pretty quickly as it didn't faze him this time. Peter wasn't exactly happy by that as he tried kicking himself free when he was slammed against the wall of his house.

But before anything worse could happen, an arrow is shot across the field and embedded into his back. The Mirakuru soldier groaned and cried in pain at the sudden attack. Peter took advantage as he shot out two webs and yanked his knees so he would fall. Once the soldier hit the ground, Peter ripped off the mask and punched him in the face.

Peter looked and saw that he was knocked out, trying to keep his anger under control so it didn't end up like back with Slade. But that quickly froze in his head when he looked and noticed that his savior was the one person that he didn't want to ever see in his life.

Malcolm Merlyn.

"You!" Peter snarled at the dead man walking.

"Nice to see you, too, son." Malcolm greeted his son.

"Don't call me that!" Peter growled as he approached him, wanting to beat the man to oblivion.

But the second he got too close and was ready to get ready to beat him, he stopped himself. He could spend all night beating him a new one for everything he's done and everyone he's hurt.

"No. I don't have time for this. Despite how much I want to do this." Peter stopped and backed away from Malcolm.

He had bigger fish to fry and friends that he needed to save. He made his way across the yard and kneeled when he reached Anya. He put a hand to her neck and felt a slight pulse. Despite the head injury, she was somehow still alive.

"You don't seem to be surprised to find me alive." Malcolm took notice as Peter picked Anya up bridal style. He tried to keep her injury from getting worse by placing her head under his shoulder. "Or to see me."

"I'm a scrawny kid who just fought four guys pumped up on a magic drug," Peter stated as he gestured to the area. "You are old news compared to that."

"And where do you plan to take her?" Malcolm asks him as he tried to catch up with Peter, who was walking away. "If you haven't noticed, half of the city is on fire."

"Noticed!" Peter was already annoyed by his donor.

You thought he was gonna give this monster even the consideration of calling him father? This was the man that killed his father, got his brother stranded on an island, killed his best friend, got his girlfriend paralyzed, and that's the only thing he's done off the top of his head.

"Hey." Malcolm tried to get his attention, but Peter wasn't going to stop. "Hey!" He then grabbed Peter by the shoulder. "Listen to me!"

But before either of them could react, Peter already turned around, held Anya with one hand, and punched Malcolm in the face. He was sent skidding backward and fell with a groan from the pain, feeling that Peter broke something of his.

"Robert Queen, my father, sent that message. And that was a fraction of a fraction of my strength," Peter warned Malcolm. "If I used any more of my strength, I'd break your jaw. And don't temp me."

Malcolm then stayed down as Peter walked off into the city with his friend in his arms. He already warned his family to get inside his lair, which is the only safe place in the city right now. They wouldn't discover them in there, and if they did, they had weapons to protect themselves.

Back with the group, Sara, Oliver, and Miles were with Laurel after escaping a trap that was laid out to trap them down below. Slade and his army already had a head start. They were walking down the street when a truck pulled over with Felicity, Diggle, and MJ inside.

"You okay?" Diggle asks Oliver, Laurel, Sara, and Miles.

"I'm good," Miles promised. "Super durability helped."

"What about you?" Oliver asks them.

"Nothing to complain about," Felicity said as she looked at the city. "Minus the psychopaths tearing apart the city."

"He has at least 50 men out there all like him." Oliver snarled.

"Not to mention that Rampaging Rhino," Miles added.

"Boy, this city could really do with Spider-Man," MJ added with a sigh.

"Hey," Miles interjected.

"You know what I mean." MJ rolled her eyes at her friend.

"We need to stop them," Oliver says.

"We might have a way." Felicity was happy to inform them. "STAR Labs called. They have the cure. There's a courier en route."

"Where is it?" Oliver asks.

Felicity decided to give them a call to find out where the car was. "Hello?" A frightened guy on the other end of the phone asks.

"Hey, it's Felicity Smoak, where are you?" Felicity asks him.

"Fourth street, I think, I don't know what happened. A guy in a hockey mask came out of nowhere and attacked my car. Please help me."

"Stay where you are," Oliver tells him.

"I can't even move if I wanted to. I think my leg's broken."

"I'll go find him." Miles offered to them. "I can get there faster, and I can take a hit from these guys."

"You sure?" Oliver asks him.

"Peter trained me for situations like this, not necessarily exactly this, but you know..." Miles shrugged as he saw the city on fire. "This city needs a Spider-Man."

"I'll head to the prescient. It's in the other direction." Laurel assured them she'll be fine. "I don't need you, the city does."

"I'll take her there." Sara offered to keep her sister safe.

"Alright. Mary Jane, go with them." Oliver decided to split them up, so they were safe and looked at Miles. "Go, we'll catch up."

Miles immediately ran down the street before he leaped off the ground and shot a web to start swinging. The city was in chaos, and the only thing standing between the city and oblivion is him.

Back with Peter, he was making his way through the destroyed city in his suit, trying to make it to Stick's area. Lucky for him, the people seemed to avoid going near their hero carrying someone to safety. When he made it to Stick's training center, he kicked down the door and saw it was in ruins.

Peter walked over and placed Anya down on a table that would usually hold different equipment. Once he put her down, he looked for a pulse from her neck and sighed to know she was still alive.

Barely.

"Come on, Anya, you're stronger than this. You're not going down that easily." Peter said as he removed his mask, looking at his friend. "Stay with me."

That's when two more soldiers came marching in through the hole that he made. They looked and saw Peter was distracted by his friend, trying to keep her alive.

But when they started to walk over to him, Stick came out of nowhere and smacked one of them in the face. Using his speed and momentum against the stronger brings, he started to fight them off and dodged each attack.

Peter turned and saw his mentor in trouble and quickly helped him out. "Get out of the way!" Stick dodged the swing from one of the Mirakuru soldiers and allowed Peter to make his move. Shooting two webs at the ceiling, Peter yanked the broken wood and caused a portion of the ceiling to crash down upon them.

"Quick thinking." Stick complemented Peter and "noticed" Anya. "What happened to her?"

"She got hit by the soldiers," Peter explains and quickly held his friend's hand. "You talked about travels around the world. Meeting strange people and things like that. Do you know some way you can save her?"

Stick walked up and placed a hand over her head, feeling the side that wasn't injured, and made his way around her head. Hearing her whimpers and cries, he wondered if there could be a chance to save her.

"I might have a way," Stick said and knew there would be consequences. "I'll take care of her. You need to get out there and protect the city."

Peter looked down at his dying friend and didn't want to leave her alone if this doesn't work. But if Stick says that he has a way, then she will be okay.

He hopes.

"Be careful," Peter tells his mentor and ran outside the building using the window. "You're gonna need it!"

"Yes, I am." Stick agreed as he looked down at Anya. "Brave girl. Even now, you're still fighting to live."

Anya couldn't talk through the pain and was wheezing, meaning her blood was starting to become too much of a loss. Reaching underneath the table and lifting a piece of the wood up, he pulled out a small container that held a creature inside.

A spider. With a number on its back.

#3

One of the six spiders that escaped from OsCorp.

"I know that I should really ask for consent considering what I'm about to do," Stick told the barely conscious form of Anya. "But the city is in flames, and the only person around is your friend. And he consents to what I'm going to do to save your life."

Stick then took off the top of the container that was holding the spider and placed it on her stomach. Anya winced at the sudden pressure that was placed on her chest, but then calmed down as the pain finally stopped.

The slide crawls its way outside of the container and made its way over the blood oozing out of her head, down her shoulders. That's exactly the trail the spider was starting to follow as well. Making its way around and down the stream leaving her head and making it to her shoulder.

That's when the spider then revealed its fangs and bit down on her shoulder. Anya gasps in pain as the spider injected its venom into her bloodstream.

"Spider...spider..." Anya started to mutter.

"Yeah, kid." Stick sighed as he watched the spider crawl away before falling off the table and dying. "Another Spider."

Down the streets, Anya's friend, Alana Jobson, was running away from a Mirakuru soldier. But as she was cornered by the monster, Peter shot a web and grabbed onto his back, and yanked him backward.

"Hey, buddy, if you wanna hurt someone, then I'm right here." Peter proclaimed, not letting him hurt the girl. "Or are you afraid to get hurt?"

The Mirakuru soldier then quickly got back up and marched over to Peter. But he wasn't going to go down easily as all he did was shoot two webs, connected them, then used them as a slingshot with no projectile. The web then smacked the Mirakuru soldier in the neck, sending him toppling to the ground.

Before he could even think to get back up, Peter shot a giant cocoon of webbing over him to keep the soldier from getting back up.

Peter looked over to Alana and saw how shocked she was. "You okay?"

"Yeah... I'm okay." Alana promised him.

Peter then heard the cries and terror of the city. "I gotta go."

"Go," Alana assured him. "I'll be okay."

Peter then quickly ran off and shot a web to swing into the city and try to contain the chaos. Alana looked down at the soldier as he was about to get back up. Grabbing a metal rod in the area, she walked over to him and smacked the soldier in the face.

Miles just made it to the bridge and started to look around for the STAR Labs vehicle. He raced down the bridge to not waste any time, but then his senses went off and led him down the bridge.

Miles knew something was happening when he heard someone screaming and raced to save them. When he reached the car, he saw a Mirakuru soldier going to grab the driver by the neck. Quickly using his camouflage abilities to hide from the soldier, he sneaked up behind the Mirakuru soldier before charging a Venom Strike.

Then when he reached his back, he quickly used all of his energy to take him down. The Mirakuru soldier quickly stopped what he was doing and cried when the Venom Strike hits his nervous system. He then fell to the ground

"You the guy with the cure?" Miles asks him.

"S... Spider-Man?" The driver asked in shock.

"Eh, close enough." Miles shrugged, knowing he's still got to get another better name. "You got the cure?"

"Here." The driver said as he held out the case to him.

Miles quickly ripped the handcuffs off of him so that he can get help. "Come on, let's get you somewhere safe."

Stick was stuck watching Anya and waiting for some sort of change to make itself visible to him. She didn't seem to be taking in the spider's venom the same way Miles and Peter did. Yet again, different circumstances.

Peter accidentally got bit by a spider meant for Malcolm.

Miles accidentally got bit because he wasn't careful.

But both of them weren't harmed.

Anya was injured, so either the venom needs to heal her, or it won't be able to do anything to save her life.

Then he sensed three Mirakuru soldiers marching into his office causing Stick to sigh in annoyance. He then got up from his seat and looked over at the three of them. He knew that there was no way out of this for him, but he was going to buy that kid as much time as he could.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Christmas?" Stick asked them.

One Mirakuru soldier raced in to punch him in the face but Stick quickly dodged it and smacked him further inside. Getting into a fighting stance, the two others come running at him as he ducked down and allowed one of them to punch the first one. Anya groaned as she started to feel her DNA begin to change and alter with the Spider DNA entering her blood.

Stick hits one of them in the eye socket using his walking stick to blind one of them. But all that did was delay another coming up and grabbing him by the neck. He started to get choked out before being lifted off of the ground. Anya then felt her wounds healing and her body starting to grow more powerful with the venom entering her body.

Stick's neck was then crushed under their weight just when Anya leaped to her feet and hands, looking out to the three Mirakuru Soldiers who were shocked to see her get back up. She felt the powers flow through her and all of the blood that leaked out of her staining her clothes and hair.

"Stick?" Anya asked when she watched the Mirakuru Soldiers drop his body. "Okay..." She grew angry at the men who murdered the mentor of Peter and her current savior. "Now I'm gonna kick your asses."

The Mirakuru Soldiers then raced at Anya as she just leaped off of the table and even tackled one of them with ease. Punching one of them in the face, she quickly used her knowledge of how Peter and Miles used their powers to fight back and pushed off the first soldier to kick the second one in the face, spinning to kick the third one in the process before landing on the ground.

Anya then felt her head buzzing, feeling that's her version of spider senses kicking in, and knew that the city needs her help. Not to mention that she also needed to find Miles, MJ, and Peter, and stop all of these Mirakuru soldiers from hurting them all.

Miles rendezvoused with Oliver and the others in the old clocktower that Sara was using as a base of operations. He handed over the case with the cure inside it to them and Felicity opened it to see it was full of dozens of syringes of glowing blue formula.

"Why is it always a color? What happened to good old fashioned clear?" Felicity wonders.

"So if we inject one of Slade's soldiers with this...?" Diggle wanted to be sure he understood everything.

"According to STAR Labs, it should counteract the effects." Felicity confirmed.

"That assuming it works." Miles commented.

Oliver then took the case and put it down before taking one of them. He looked over to Roy and knew there was only one way they could test it.

"We have to test it." Oliver stated.

"We can't." Felicity said, not sure what they're planning to do to their friend. "Treating Roy like some kind of lab rat? What if it doesn't work?"

"We need to know. One way or the other." Oliver stated.

"Not to mention the fact we're gonna die if it doesn't work anyways." Miles added on, reminding them the entire city is overrun by super soldiers.

Oliver then got ready to try and inject Roy, but after some consideration, he was starting to question what he's doing. Before he could question too much, his phone rang and they saw it was Lance.

"Lance." Oliver quickly answered it.

"You near a tv?" Lance asks him.

"Yes." Oliver confirmed.

"You better turn it on."

They then used Felicity's tablet to turn on the news and got a look at what he was seeing. They saw what looked to be the military coming into the city limits and taking positions on the bridges and tunnels out of the city.

Oliver immediately knew who they were and made a phone call. "Waller. Those soldiers taking position at the city's exits. Those aren't army those are your men. Tell me what you're up to!"

"Slade's followers are a clear and present danger. I cannot allow them to escape the city. They need to be contained."

"You can't." Oliver stated.

"There's a drone en-route. Carrying six GBU/43-B bombs. Enough firepower to level the city."

"There are over half a million people in this city."

"Five hindered and seventeen to be exact. None of who deserve to die. You told me Mirakuru made a man unstoppable. What will happen to this world if I don't stop this here and now?"

"I have the cure." Oliver informed her.

"I cannot risk the safety of the world on you failing. I'm sorry."

Oliver grew angry and hanged up the phone before running over to Roy. They needed to know if the cure worked or they could lose the city. Either to Slade or to Amanda now.

They waited for something to happen, anything. But all they saw was Roy laying there unconscious. Then Miles' head buzzed and he knew that his spider senses were warning him something was coming.

"Guys?" Miles called out.

"What is it?" Diggle asks him.

Then their alerts go off and they saw that Slade's men have come to kill them.

"Don't we have enough problems?" Felicity wonders.
