Joss Whedon is the genius, not me. I didn't create Oreos either.

Oreos and Milk
by Zzilly14

"Uh, Nibblet? We're out of milk."

"What?" the teenager nearly shrieked as she stared at the vampire.

"Someone drank the rest of the milk and didn't throw the jug away." He took out the empty and jug and shook it in Dawn's face. "And it wasn't me."

"Well, it wasn't me!" she retorted. "But that's not the point. The point is, we can't eat Oreos without milk."

"And why's that?" Spike asked while flattening the milk jug before putting it in the recycle bin.

"Because, it's a time-honored tradition. Almost everyone who eats Oreos dunks them in milk. Spike, we need to go get milk."

"Luv, can't you just...?"

"No! We're going to the grocery store, right now."

Spike shrugged. "I'd rather stay here and watch Passions, if you don't mind."

"So I can drive your motorcycle?" she giggled excitedly.

"Passions can wait," he replied as he headed out the door, the smiling brunette following close behind.

...

The grocery store wasn't too crowded at midnight, thankfully. Dawn skipped her way to the back where they kept the dairy products. Spike walked slowly after her, not wanting to waste his energy. By the time he reached her she had already grabbed the milk and was already heading towards the front.

"I should've stayed outside," he muttered to himself, until he saw Dawn looking at him expectantly. "What?"

"I need some cash, Spike. I'm broke."

"Bloody hell," he mumbled as he took out some money and handed it to the cashier. "Keep the change, luv."

...

"Okay, here's how I do it. I break apart the cookie, like so. Then I eat all the cream." Spike laughed when Dawn got white cream all over her mouth.

"Hold on a sec, luv." He took a napkin and gently wiped the area around her lips. "There. Now what's next?"

Dawn cleared her throat awkwardly. "Uh, right. Then you take the cookies and dip them in the milk. I like to keep them in there for a few seconds so the cookie gets all soggy with milky goodness."

"So that's how you eat an Oreo?"

"Yep. That's it."

Spike followed Dawn's instructions and smiled after eating the soggy cookie. "This stuff is good! I need to give some of these to Clem. I bet he'd love these things."

The two friends spent the rest of the night watching Passions, curled up on the couch, snacking on Oreos and milk.
