Summary: Christina meets Oliver's family including his aunt, uncle and cousin and older brother.
It was a couple nights later, Oliver was picking up Christina and Bethany so they could meet the rest of his family.
"I hope Oliver's parents like me," she fretted.
"I'm sure they will, Chrissy," Justin assured his sister.
She nodded.
"Do they already know that you're a mum?" Aaron asked.
Christina nodded. "Yes, they do. I know Oliver mentioned on our second date that his mum is begging for grandchildren."
"You already talked about kids?" Justin asked.
"We have. What about you and Eliza?"
Justin smiled. "Yeah, we've broached the topic but we're still young. Though, you were already a mum by the time you were my age."
Christina reached over and ruffled his hair. "There's no pressure, Justin."
"Mummy!"
She smiled. "Are you almost ready, Effie?"
"Yep."
Christina finished getting dressed and walked down the stairs to see Oliver talking with her dad.
"Hey!"
Oliver stopped talking to her dad, got up and greeted her with a passionate kiss.
"Hello to you too, Oliver," she giggled, looking into his brown eyes which were shining with love.
"Hey love," he smiled.
"Oliver!" Bethany squealed.
He pulled out of the kiss and ruffled Bethany's hair lovingly.
"Are we ready?"
"We are."'
"Have fun."
Oliver took Christina's hand while Christina took Bethany's hand.
"So, we're just meeting your parents?" Christina asked nervously.
Oliver said. "Actually, I think my Uncle Doug and Aunt Wera might be there, possibly my cousin and his wife Penny."
Christina nodded.
"My parents already know about Bethany but I'm not sure about my aunt and uncle. Though, I don't really care about their opinion if they don't like that you're a mum. I love you," Oliver smiled, kissing her forehead.
"Okay."
They travelled to Oliver's childhood home. Oliver knocked.
"Hello sweetie," a blonde woman greeted.
"Hey Aunt Wera."
"It's so nice to see you, this must be Christina," she smiled at her nephew's girlfriend.
"Yes, this is Christina," Oliver grinned.
"It's nice to meet you, Christina. I'm Oliver's aunt Wera."
"You too."
Wera's blue-green eyes wandered down to Bethany. "I didn't know you were a mum."
"I'm Bethany," she smiled.
Wera invited them in. Christina noticed Oliver's parents and took a deep breath.
"So, this is the famous Christina."
Oliver smiled. "Yes, this is Christina."
"It's nice to meet you, dear. I'm Sharon, that's my husband Craig."
Christina looked up to see a man who looked a lot like Oliver but around 25 years older.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Oliver won't stop talking about you," Craig said.
She smiled bashfully as Oliver smiled at her.
"And this must be Bethany," Sharon said.
"Yes, I am."
"How old are you again?" Sharon asked.
Bethany held up five fingers proudly. Oliver led Christina to the living room. He stifled a groan when he saw his cousin Micheal and his wife Penny. While Christina noticed Emma was here too, at least there was a familiar face.
"Nice to see you, Oliver," his Uncle Doug greeted.
"You too."
"So, this is the famous Christina?" Michael asked, eyeing her.
"Yes."
"The Wood men clearly have a thing for blondes," Craig laughed.
Oliver said. "I don't really care that Chrissy is a blonde."
"Hair color isn't a big deal," Penny said, running a hand through her blonde hair.
Michael kissed her cheek and rested his hand on her belly lovingly. "I suppose not, love."
"You're going to be a dad?" Oliver asked.
Michael grinned. "Yes, I am. Unlike you I didn't take the easy way out and start dating a single mother to give my mum grandkids."
"I want kids of my own one day but for now I don't mind being a surrogate dad to Bethany," Oliver smiled.
"Like I said, you took the easy way out. She'll probably dump you so she can get back with her ex."
Christina looked around. She didn't want her daughter finding out about her father in this way.
Oliver's temper was starting to flare because he wrapped his arm around her waist. The last time she had seen his temper was when they ran into her ex.
"Bethany, why don't I show you my old room. I might have some toys you'd like," Emma suggested to the little girl sensing the tension.
The little girl nodded and walked off with Emma.
"You know nothing about my history! My bloody ex-husband abandoned me and Bethany after he found out that she was magical. He kicked me out of the house!" Christina shouted at Michael.
After a few minutes they walked up to Emma's room. Bethany was flipping through Emma's binder full of her old Chocolate Frog Cards that was twice her size.
"Everything okay?" Emma asked.
"Yes, you know Mike he can sometimes be a git," Oliver said, leading Christina into his sister's childhood room.
"He can."
Oliver turned to Christina. "You alright, Chrissy?"
"Better," she replied.
Bethany finally noticed that her mum was in the room, put down the binder of chocolate frog cards and ran to her mum.
"Hey sweetie," Christina smiled at her daughter.
Bethany asked. "Can you tell me about my dad?"
"I can."
Bethany sat next to her mum on the bed.
"Your dad and I were teenage sweethearts since we met at 13 and started dating when we were 17. Your dad and I got engaged in 1996 and I discovered I was pregnant with you in 1998 and we eloped. A few months after you were born, you started to show magic. Your uncle Justin and I started to hide your magic from your dad."
"Why?"
She sighed. "I don't really know. Your dad wasn't too happy when he found out. A few days after your second birthday he kicked us out of the house. We moved in with gran and grandpa the same night."
"Okay."
She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Does this mean I won't have any siblings?" she asked.
Christina glanced at Oliver. "I mean I would like to give you a sibling."
"How about by my next birthday?" she asked.
Christina giggled. "It doesn't quite work that way, sweetie."
Bethany nodded and Emma led her out of her room.
"I know we've only been dating almost eight months."
Oliver smiled. "We did talk about kids on our second date."
"We did."
"I'm not just saying this because my cousin upset me. I wouldn't mind seeing you pregnant with my child sometime soon."
She smiled. "I miss being pregnant. My pregnancy with Effie wasn't always great but that's a given."
"Should I propose first?"
She told him. "We don't have to be married or even engaged. I know that's conventional."
"I had a feeling you'd say that. It's understandable from your trauma with your first marriage."
"You know about psychology?"
"The basics. My mum set me up with a therapist after the war. I go every week."
She blinked. "I'm surprised you go to a therapist. I mean I know Justin and Eliza both go to one too. I went to one for a little bit while I was pregnant. Scott never went with me, he said he didn't believe in therapy."
Oliver nodded. "You should spend the night at my house to see if you like it."
"That's a good point. Should Effie spend the night too?"
"Of course."
Before their conversation could continue Sharon and Wera walked in.
"I'm sorry about my son, he can be a bit emotionally obtuse sometimes," Wera apologized.
Christina giggled. "That's one thing you two have in common, Oliver."
"You weren't much better, Chrissy," Oliver teased, taking her hand.
"I suppose not but I was just frustrated," she told him.
He smiled.
"Well, it's time for dinner," Sharon said.
Oliver nodded and led Christina downstairs. Christina noticed another man at the table. He looked like a slightly older version of Oliver only with hazel eyes instead of brown.
"Hey Oliver," he greeted.
He smiled. "Hey Chris."
"You must be Christina, the woman who my baby brother can't shut up about," he smiled.
"I am."
Chris pouted. "I guess I'm forgettable."
"I didn't expect you to be here. That's all," Oliver said.
"It's alright, Olls."
Oliver groaned. "I hate that nickname."
"I know you do," he smirked.
"It's nice to meet you."
"You too."
Oliver led her to the table and they sat down.
"Who are you?" Bethany asked Chris.
"I'm Oliver's big brother, Chris. Who are you?" he asked curiously.
"This is my daughter, Bethany," Christina introduced nervously.
"Oh, you're a mum?"
"Yes and she's the best mummy in the world!" Bethany shouted.
Christina blushed.
After dinner, Chris took Oliver aside while Christina was helping their mum with dessert.
"If you're not okay with Chrissy being a mum —" Oliver started.
Chris shook his head. "It's not that, Olls. It's just that I've never seen you so happy with anyone as I see you with Christina."
"Thanks."
"And I'm fine with being the cool uncle since I'm much cooler than you and much more talented than you at Quidditch," he teased.
"I'm the one who got scouted right out of Hogwarts not you," Oliver laughed.
Before Chris could reply, Christina walked in balancing two plates of dessert. She handed one of them to Chris and the other to Oliver before sitting next to Oliver.
"Didn't you get dessert?" Oliver asked.
"I tried to carry the plate but I couldn't handle three plates."
"Couldn't you use magic?" Chris asked, confused.
"I'm a muggle," she said.
"Oh, I can see why our mum has taken a shine to you more than any of the other girls that Olls has brought around."
"I haven't brought around many girls since I was too hyper focused on Quidditch for years."
"And it also helps that I know she's not using my Ollie for his fame," Sharon said, walking in with the third plate and pinching Oliver's cheek.
"Mum! I'm nearly thirty. Enough with the cheek pinching," Oliver complained much to a very amused Chris.
Sharon walked away. The trio of adults continued talking. After dessert, they found Bethany in Emma's room.
"You ready to go, Effie?" Christina asked.
The little girl nodded with a yawn. They said goodbye to Oliver's family and Oliver escorted Christina home with a fast asleep Bethany in his arms.
"Is she heavy?" Christina asked her boyfriend.
"Not really. Do you think I can put her to bed?"
"Sure, Ollie."
Oliver nodded. They walked in the house to see Francis waiting up for them.
"Hey dad," she smiled, kissing his cheek.
He smiled back. "Hey sweetie, how was meeting Oliver's family?"
"It went well."
Francis nodded.
"Do you need help putting Effie to bed?" Christina asked Oliver.
He shook his head. "I've watched you put her to bed many times. I think I can handle it."
"Okay."
Oliver walked away to put Effie to bed. Christina watched him walk away and turned back to her dad who was half smirking and half smiling.
"Why are you looking at me like that, dad?" she asked.
"You clearly love Oliver and want in his trousers sooner rather than later," he said.
She blushed. "Dad, don't be so crass!"
Francis laughed. "Blame Justin, he's the one who pointed it out, not me."
"Using me as the scapegoat, dad?" Justin laughed walking in the kitchen clad in his healer robes.
"Are you off to work?" Christina asked her brother.
Justin nodded. "Yes, I am. Another 12 hour shift."
"That sucks."
Justin nodded and left the kitchen, leaving through the floo.
"Oliver invited me and Effie to stay the night soon."
Francis nodded as Oliver walked down the stairs.
"Is she asleep?"
"Out like a light," Oliver confirmed, wrapping an arm around her.
She looked up lovingly at him. Part of her doesn't understand how she got so lucky with him. Oliver kissed her goodbye before leaving.
