Tears fall down pale cheeks
Glimmering clear tears out of brown eyes
He is alone
Sitting in a cold, dark room
Frightened, hurt, battered
His heart...his soul...scarred
He holds a loving memory to keep his sanity
He cannot remember a caring voice
A warm home
A kind embrace
He cannot grasp a joyous smile on her face
He does not remember what it is like to love
To run in the summer grass, dew clinging to his shoes
To bask in the warm afternoon sun, with the rays beating on his face
He cannot remember.
