Hey everybody! I'm back to write an YYH story! YAY! I had this idea a while ago, now I'm finally writing it down for you lucky people. As soon as Scribble the puppy-muse does the disclaimer, we will begin.

Scribble: We don't own it. We have no money. SOMEBODY should get a job.

Me: Shut up.

Always There

Once again, Yusuke Urameshi got caught for cutting class and ended up in detentions. He was about to go home, completely guilt free and uncaring about his punishment, when he ran into Kuwabara.

"What're you doing here, Kuwabara?"

Kuwabara, however, was too wrapped up in his own problems to pay attention to Yusuke. "I can't believe it! A 15? How did I only get a 15?"

"Hiei can answer that," said Yusuke with a grin.

"Oh, shut up, Urameshi," Kuwabara muttered as he walked out. Yusuke went with him. "Now Shizuru's gonna kill me."

"Maybe you won't want to go home then."

Kuwabara scowled. "Of course not, but where'll I go?"

"Come to the arcade with me. I always kill lots of time there."

(A/N: BAD BAD BOYS! Killing time and talking casually about it! It's not a good thing to murder! Sorry- done with my crazy moment.)

Soon the two boys were at the arcade, just hanging out. Kuwabara was actually beating Urameshi at video games. Soon, the two were heading for home.

As Yusuke looked at his friend, he realized something. Kuwabara was always in trouble, and it was usually because of him. He'd always beat him up, but then when he became spirit detective, Kuwabara had joined him on several occasions. When he went to stop the Four Saint Beasts, Kuwabara was there, and even defeated Byakko. When he went to rescue Yukina, Kuwabara was there again to help him beat up Toguro. When he was forced to enter the Dark Tournament, Once again Kuwabara came with him to fight for his team. And he always got hurt. Byakko nearly killed him several times, and the younger Toguro almost killed him for good. Even as Yusuke was beating him up for tricking him about being alive, Yusuke was really just grateful that his friend was ok. He always got beat up on the cases, but even still, whenever Yusuke needed help, Kuwabara was right there, despite the danger.

They had soon reached Yusuke's house, and Kuwabara was saying something, although Yusuke had no idea what the subject, as he had been thinking and ignoring him for the past several blocks.

"I gotta head back home...why're you staring at me, Urameshi?"

Yusuke shook his head. "I was just thinking about something. I mean, you always come on all my cases and you always nearly get yourself killed."

"So? I'm just as much a spirit detective as you are. And I can handle all those demons! It's not like I'm scared, and don't think I'm going to be missing in action. You must think I'm weak or something," Kuwabara finished, scowling again.

"No, it's not that. I...I just wanted to say thank you."

Kuwabara was evidently confused. "Huh?"

"Thanks for sticking with me, even though I nearly got you killed on a number of occasions."

Yusuke, who wasn't accustomed to saying thanks, immediately turned and went inside, but just before he got inside, he heard Kuwabara reply, "It's no problem. What're friends for?"

Scribble: Actually, that turned out worse than I thought it would.

Me: Yeah, sorry for that. I had something else planned in mind, but I was forced to change it. Hey, I tried. Well, please review, although please be nice- don't give me horribly nasty flames, but I'll take constructive criticism and, of course, nice reviews. Team Urameshi Rules!
