Chapter One:
Leaving Coruscant
Obi-Wan walked out of the council building, and took light of seeing Anakin pacing around.
"Calm yourself," he said. Anakin stopped.
"How can I!?" Anakin retorted with a bit of anger in his voice.
"Padmé will be fine," Obi assured.
Anakin approached him. "I should've never left Naboo." he tightened his fist.
Obi raised an eyebrow. "Anakin, you could not have stayed, you are a Jedi, you have your duties elsewhere."
Anakin turned, "I know what I am!"
"The council says, that Padmé was not harmed in the attack," Obi stated.
"I should've known that Dooku would've tried to harm her," Anakin said, "I could've prevented the attack."
"My padawan, you can not be everywhere," Obi assured.
"Innocent people were killed," Anakin snapped.
Obi sighed. "I know, we will avenge what happened, Dooku will be brought to justice."
"When!" Anakin stated. "The council sits and discusses Dooku's fate, I think you and I should go after him!"
"Be patient," Obi said. "Remember Anakin, your thoughts will betray you." Anakin narrowed his eyes.
"I don't need another one of your lectures!" Anakin snapped. "I will go to Naboo, with or without the council's consent." he muttered.
"Don't do anything irrational," Obi said as he watched the intensity in Anakin's eyes grow.
"You underestimate me master, you know I wouldn't do anything irrational," Anakin defended.
Anakin turned abruptly and walked away.
"If I know him well, he will go to Naboo," Obi said to himself. "He hasn't learned."
"Dooku is the rising power of the darkside, he must be stopped," Mace stated, as Yoda looked up at him.
"Rid of Dooku we must," Yoda replied.
A look of anguish came across Yoda's face. "I sense much anger and hatred in Skywalker."
"He let's his emotions act for him, we should watch his actions carefully," Mace stated.
"Agree with you I do," Yoda responded.
Anakin's Quarters
"I'm leaving Coruscant, I must go see Padmé," Anakin told himself as he packed his suitcase.
R2-D2 just watched and bleeped at him.
"Don't tell me I should listen to Obi," Anakin snapped. "He said don't do anything irrational, he did not mention anything about not going to Naboo."
"I must leave by nightfall," Anakin stated, he closed and locked his suitcase and slowly slid it under the bed.
