Jack O'Neill frowned as his second in command struggled to keep her eyes open.

They had begun a second briefing, now that Maybourne had departed, and she looked as if she were about to fall in to a coma.

He looked over to Daniel, rolling his eyes as he prattled on, and then looked back at her.

She was asleep.

He sat there, smiling and watching as her expressions changed. She seemed to be having a nice, peaceful dream.

And then she started snoring, ever so lightly.

However, ever so lightly was loud enough for the General to hear. "Major Carter! What the..." He began, amazed. "No one has ever been bored enough to fall asleep at one of my briefings before!"

"General," Jack whispered, shaking his head.

"Jack, she's asleep during my briefing," the Texan exclaimed.

"Oh have a heart, sir!" The younger man told him. "She did just save all of us, and she's exhausted. Not surprising."

"Plus, the Doctor apparently did give her a sedative," Daniel pointed out. "Could be delayed, because of Jolinar, or something."

"Exactly," Jack said. "Please don't wake her up."

"Very well," Hammond nodded. Jack was right, she had just saved them.

"Permission to take her to her quarters, sir?" He requested, standing up. Hammond sighed, and nodded.

Jack scooped Sam up in his arms and carried her off to her room, still smiling to himself.

Daniel nodded to the General, gathered up his papers and then headed for his lab. Teal'C also stood up, bowed his head and left to search for some pie.

Hammond was soon sitting alone at the Briefing Room table.

Once they were gone, he burst out laughing.

Days at the SGC certainly were not dull.

It's short...but I just found it popped in to my head as I read the challenge. I know it isn't that good, but...oh well.
