Turn Back Time

Written from the song Turn Back Time by Cher.

Disclaimer- I don't own the Harry Potter characters or the song. They belong to J. K. Rowling and Cher.

Author's Note- This is a story that takes place after a relationship between Draco and Ginny ends. This is from Draco's point of view.

Draco leaned his back against the huge tree by the lake. He watched Ginny walk across the lawn with a group of her friends. He closed his eyes and wished that he hadn't messed up.

If I could turn back time

If I could find a way

I'd take back those words

that hurt you and you'd stay.

Draco eyes moved over to Ginny again and it made him think about what he had done. No matter how much he tried to think it wasn't his fault something inside him always made him think it was.

I don't know why I did the things I did

I don't know why I said the things I said

Pride's like a knife, it can cut deep inside

Words are like weapons, they wound sometimes

Ginny hadn't pain the slightest attention to Draco since the incident and that made it hurt even more. It wasn't his fault. He didn't mean for things to happen the way they did. He wasn't involved.

I didn't really mean to hurt you

I didn't want to see you go

I know I made you cry, but baby

Draco let his sorrow wrap around him. He tried not to think or her. It hurt too much to even look at Ginny or even hear her name.

If I could turn back time, If I could find a way

I'd take back those words that hurt you and you'd stay.

Ginny was still talking to her friends, not having the slightest idea that Draco was sitting by the tree watching her every move. She didn't feel the same way he did. She had stopped talking to him that one night not even giving him chance to explain.

If I could reach the stars I'd give them all to you.

Then you'd love me, love me like you used to do

If I could turn back time

Draco shifted his back against the tree. He still watched Ginny and wondered if she ever thought about him anymore. He wasn't like his dad. He was there for heroic purposes only. Ginny didn't know the whole story. She needed to know the whole story to understand.

My world was shattered, I was torn apart

Like someone took a knife and drove it deep into my heart.

Draco started the long, slow walk back up to the castle. He couldn't look at her anymore. She had hurt him too much to completely heal.

When you walked out the door I swore I didn't care

But I lost everything darling then and there

Draco didn't look back at Ginny. He promised himself that he wouldn't. He didn't need her and she didn't need him.

Too strong to tell you I was sorry

Too proud to tell you I was wrong

I knew that I was blind and darling

Draco could hear footsteps behind him getting faster and faster.

"Draco?" said a voice from behind him. He turned around despite the promise to himself. Ginny was running towards him. She flung her arms around his neck and sobbed.

If I could turn back time

If I could turn back time, oh baby.

"Draco," she whispered. "I am so sorry. I know it's not your fault. You could never hurt him."

Draco hugged her back and for the first time since Voldermort killed Ron, he cried.

I didn't really mean to hurt you

I didn't want to see you go

I know I made you cry, and ooh

Then maybe baby you'd stay

If I could reach the stars

I'd give them all too you

END!

That was great fun to write so don't spoil my fun and not review. That didn't really make sense, but oh well, review anyway!

Cheers!
