You have been looking for Knives for a long time now. You heard that several men were found dead in Haru city. Their wives said they were acting strange and just left the town without a word. "If Knives is trying to hide than I'll find him soon." You say aloud to yourself.
You need to get to Haru city as soon as possible. "Should I stowaway in the sand steamer or hitchhike?" you puzzle.
"Well, stowing away would probly get me in way more trouble." You think. Now the only thing left to do is to hitchhike. You walk to the nearest dusty road and stick your thumb out. "HEY, I NEED A RIDE! CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A RIDE?! "you scream at passing cars. Hours go by and no one seems to care. At least until a preacher rode by.
The preacher wore an all black suit, had black hair, carried a giant cross, and was riding a motorcycle. "Hey, ya need a ride?" Asks the preacher.
"YEA! I sure do!" you happily reply.
"Then get on" gestured the preacher. Once you get on he introduces himself. "Hello, im Nicolas D. Wolfwood, traveling priest. Who might you be?" questioned Nicolas.
"Errr...WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE WIND IN MY...EARS!" You hesitantly scream at the top of your lungs.
"Never mind..." mutters Nicolas. "So, where you heading to?" Nicolas casually asks.
"I'm only following him...some where in Haru city" you absentmindedly answer. "So Nicolas, why are you traveling?"
"No real reason. And please call me Wolfwood." He laughs. But the way he laughed wasn't a happy laugh, it seemed sorrowful. You and Wolfwood rode until you got to Haru city.
"Well, this is my stop. Thanks for the ride." You smile a wide grin. He grabs your shoulder.
"Wait. Who are you following? What's your name?" Wolfwood put on a serious face. You only smile and walk away.
"Im a mere hunter chasing the dragonfly of love." You say as you walk away. Wolfwood stode there puzzled by your explanation. "Maybe I'll see you again someday, Mr. Priest."
"Yea...maybe.." Wolfwood sighed.
You decide to go to the bar. A woman with black short hair was arguing with a tall long brown haired woman. "NO MILLIE! WE CANT GO GET PUDDING!" screams the woman with short black hair.
"But Meryl, I would really like some pudding...." Whimpered the taller woman. The women known as Meryl growled angrily and continued to scream and shout about how that going to get pudding would take at least 30 extra ours out of there time. You know it's better to leave airheads alone. You slump down onto a bar stool. You take a big gulp of a beer. "bu-but Meryl..."
"We have to find Vash the Stampede Millie! We can't afford to waste ANY time!" rants Meryl as she rolled her eyes. You spat your beer all over the bartender.
"DID YOU SAY VASH THE STAMPEDE?!" You ask as you cough up the rest of your drink.
"Why yes! We work for the Bernadelli Insurance company, we have to find Mr.Vash and keep him under 24 hour surveillance." Millie smiled brightly.
"He doesn't need to know that Millie! This is private business!" Meryl scolded Mille. You fake a smile, not that well I might add, and say, "HAHAHAHAH! Well, I must be going now! Toodles!" You got half way to the door before Meryl yelled at you.
"Heeeeey!" You don't know anything about Vash the Stampedes whereabouts? Do you?!"
"No,no,no,no,no,no,no,no..." you slowly walked to the door. Meryl pounces on you screaming and pulling your hair.
"AH HA! You do know, don't you! TELL US OR WE'LL BE FORCED TO USE A STUNGUN!" Meryl gestured to the stungun slung over Millie's shoulder. Millie smiled and aimed the stun gun.
"BUT I DON'T KNOW NUTHIN!" You wail as you flail wildly like a fish out of water. A loud crash followed by screams directs the crazed girl's attention away from you. You scramble to your feet as the girls run threw the bar doors.
