Charred
Starfire's PoV. I tried a little Emily Dickinson thing here; hopefully it worked. For Flying Star and Faye Chua who pushed me to try.
Flying Star: I don't mean to forever associate you with Starfire. But this is the first poem I wrote about TT, so...yeah... :P.
It hit me hard.
I tried to stop it.
I went to the future –
20 years – to fight it.
There is no messing with history.
No messing with time – my only enemy.
Our friendship corroded once
And history repeated itself again.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
Our foundation crumbling – no reason – unjust.
I thought I prevented our death,
But we fell...
Everything once important now charring in hell.
The idea Unfathomable. Unlike us...
-Unacceptable
-Unforgivable
-Unfair
unforgettable.
A/N: The poem by Emily Dickinson that I sort of modeled this after is shown in "Mind Games- Pandemonium, Part 2". Some of you guys may think that I need a better rhyme scheme, but look at that poem, and you'll understand that everything I did was intentional. I double and triple checked for any mistakes, and I can honestly tell you guys that everything is written the way it is for a purpose. There is no particular rhyme scheme for a reason. The repetition is in a list-type form for a reason. ...Just letting everyone know for clarification. :D
Now, please tell me as nice as possible how much it sucked so I can prove to you all once and for all why you should never get Instant Coffee to write a poem! :P. But seriously...please review...and do the above, even if it kills ya!
