Dragon tears

Ever wonder what the real reason Haku asked Sen not to look back?

"And don't look back..." Chihiro's hand slipped from his grasp and he watched her back reseeded into the distance. A single tear fell to the ground. "What ever you do, don't look back...." Kohaku was freely crying now. Tears fell and a light breeze made his hair sway. Another tear fell to the ground, only to splatter in the spot where the water spirits feet once were.

Kohaku was disappearing. Tears fell as more of his being disappeared into nonexistence. The only reason he had survived this long was because of Chihiro. He knew that she would one day stumble upon the world of spirits from the moment she fell into his river.

So, once his home had been filled, his source of power was completely devoid. He barely made it to the bathhouse and signed a contract, which gave him just enough energy to wait for that one little girl to enter his life. Now that she was gone forever, he had no purpose left.

The wind still blew his hair as his neck went, then his face. Lastly, his eyes faded away.

Monkeys. Lots of Monkeys: Hello. I hope you enjoyed my short story. It is short, I know, but my Mistress liked it so it was all for the good. I have not been able to work on my story as of late. I am very sorry.

Review if you wish.
