Joey nodded, and drew. "I will set this card, and summon Goblin Attack Force. Now, attack!" His goblins nodded, and beat Carta's downface card. Suddenly, they were all sent flying as a massive pyramid rose from the sand. The goblins attacked it, and it let out a bellow, a tortoise head rising above ground. It let out a moan, and shattered, leaving a sarcophagus. "Ok...what just happened?"

Carta smiled. "You attacked my Pyramid Turtle, allowing me to take from it's body one zombie, and summon it to the field!" The massive sarcophagus opened, revealing Giant Axe Mummy. The golbins fell to their butts and pulled out flasks. "Looks like the teamsters are on strike. Well, it is time to take care of them. I will summon Royal Keeper to the field, and then have my Giant Axe Mummy attack!" As it swung it's weapon Carta laughed. "And thanks to it's effect, you will still take damage!" (Joey- 2300)

"Big whoop" Joey replied. He watched as each of his golbins were replaced by coffins that flew onto shelves of the mausoleum. "What the?"

"My field magic card has turned them into dead bodies, ready to come back to aid me. And they will be here now. I activate Book of Life!" The Green Stone book landed in Carta's hands. "Hopku Rampshe Melifus!"

The coffins behind Joey shook, and he covered himself as the Goblins burst forth, now rotting their bare bones visible. They licked their cold lips and sneered at their former master. "I don't think so! I activate Bottomless Trap Hole! This card will remove those goblins from play!" The force whimpered as the mausoleum floor crumbled and they fell. "Now, it is my turn bones for brains!" Joey drew, and laughed. "It's time for you to face my true power...."

"Your what?"

Joey paled. "Come on, Kaiba and Yugi can say that and everyone ooos. I say it, and I am an idiot." He sighed. "Anyway, I summon my Red Eyes Black Dragon, and command it to attack your Giant Axe!" The dragon arose, throwing the roof of the crypt. He roared, it's mouth glowing. "Attack with Molten Fireball!" (Carta-3300)

Kevin held on tight as they flew through space. "Can we slow down!"

Serenity glared at him. "Untill we find my brother, we are going too slow." She patted the dragon's neck. "Faster!"

Kevin closed his eyes. He had been forced to get off his Spear Dragon and ride the Red Eyes. "Damn it woman, I am going to lose my cookies here!"

"Then that will lighten our load. Now stop bitching!"

Kevin stared at the normally calm girl. 'Remind me never to insult Joey around you."

Serenity nodded, and stared forward. Kevin could see that spark, that blinding rage that Joey had in her eyes. He couldn't help but admire how she rode the massive beast, guiding it along like she had always done this. Joey was like that: When he needed to, he was unstoppable.

They heard a cry, and the dragon let out a roar as a fireball hit it's wing. Kevin turned to see DarkFire Dragons giving chase, their Hunter riders urging them to reach the Black Dragon.

Serneity looked over at them and frowned. "Why is it they are always chasing us?"

"Because we are trying to destroy them." Kevins aid as he stood up. He pulle dout his cane and focused on one spot of the dragon's back. He nodded, and then leapt off, plummeting into the inky black. He fell, and activated Blast with Chain. The rocket fired, wrapping around a dragon's neck. Kevin spun around, knocking the rider off and taking the reigns. He pulled the beast at another group, and moved it into a suicide run. Just as it neared them, he plunged his cane into the fire creature's back, causing it to lose control. Ripping his cane free, he focused, and returned to the Red Eyes to watch the fiery explosion.

Serenity looked at him. 'Yoru good."

"That I am. Now lets move wild woman."

Carta frowned. "You will pay for that Wheeler. You may have bested my son and grandson, but you will not best me! I will shift my Royal Keepers into defense mood." The undead guards moaned, and knelt. "I wills et this card, and end my turn."

Joey nodded. "I will set this card. And now, Red Eyes?"

As the dragon readied it's attack, Carta laughed like a manic. "I activate Sakuretsu Armor! Say goodbye to your dragon!" The keepers' shields transformed into heavily spiked weapons, and they leapt to strike down Joey's monster.

"Not so fast Carta, I also have a card ready. Actiavte Mystical Space Typhon!" The whirlwind appeared, and sucked up the armor. The keepers moaned and slamed into Red Eyes, shattering. "Tough brake skeleton boy."

Carta glared at him. "You talk tough, but soon, you will face the horrors of the cold dirt, forever entrapped!" Joey backed away as all the coffins rattled.

"Great, now I have a bunch of dead people after me! Why do I end up with the freaks?" Joey thought.

"And now, I will activate Book of Life!" Carta chanted once more, and a coffin appeared on the field. "Make our move."

Joey nodded, and smiled. "Take a look at this move Carta! I wills et this card, and have my Red Eyes take out yet another one of your little monsters!" Joey watched as his dragon fired, only for the attack to hit an invisible wall. The attack pressed, and pyramid turtle let out a cry, and shattered. "Great, now you can summon a new monster."

"That I do." Carta replied as another card appeared. "I will also set this monster, and end my turn."

"Now it is time to play!" Joey said happily. "I activate Kuni with Chain!" Carta watched as his Posin Mummy was flipped into attack mood. "And now, Red Eyes?" The Dragon bellowed and took out the mummy. Joey coughed. "I forgot, that darn mummy poisins you when it is flipped. (Joey- 1800, Carta-1900)

Carta smiled. "We are both close to the grave. To bad for you."

"What do you mean?"

"You ahven't been looking at yourself, have you?"

"What does that..." Joey looked at his arm ,and gasped as he saw it was all bone. He looked down to see his skin falling off his legs, his clothing rotting away. "What have you done to me?!?!"

"Throughout this duel, as you lost lifepoints, you have slowly lost your own life, joining the ranks of the undead. And when you lose, you will become one of my monsters, doomed to fight my enemies for eternity!"

Joey frowned. "And why aren't you rotting? How is that fair?"

Carta opened his shirt to reveal that his body was nothing more then ribs and a spine. "Bones don't rot."

"Then you...you are..."

"dead? As a doorknob, my friend. But my mistress is very powerful, and brought me here to face you. And when I win, myself, as well as my son and grandson, will return to the world of the living!"

Joey gulped as he watched a worm crawl out of his leg. "Your...your going to pay for this, you freak!"
